Best breakfast biscuits EVER!! This place came highly recommended by a friend, and the food exceeded our expectations. We were planning our return tomorrow while still enjoying our breakfast. We each had a breakfast biscuit and a sweet biscuit. The ham, egg, and cheese along with the sweet blueberry was delicious. The sausage, egg, and cheese along with a sweet cinnamon one was tasty too. Of course, you needed some coffee. We look forward to coming back soon!

You know there is something good about a place when there is a line out the door. Always love supporting a local business! We got breakfast here and it was delicious fresh home made food. Their prices can't be beat. Parking is very limited along with inside seating but I recommend trying this place out.

Food and price was great. Biscuits tasted fresh, fluffy, buttery, and the filling was decadent and packed with flavor too.

Edie's was a great find! It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but inside are wonderful biscuits! When in Cajun county you have to start your day with a shrimp biscuit! Edie's shrimp biscuit was amazing! It was a perfect giant soft biscuit piled high with shrimp egg & cheese! The Edie's sauce was a nice touch! Holy cow it was amazing and so filling! The blueberry biscuit is to die for! It has nice crispy edges but the inside is gooey & lovely! Service here is great! The staff is so nice and it's obvious this place is family run & their customers are treated like family too! Can't wait to come back to Edie's.

How you know you are in Acadiana

Local Lafayette hole-in-the- wall favorite!! Absolutely delicious taste and texture every trip. It's affordable and such a positive environment even when there is a line. Which there usually is, but it moves pretty fast considering. You know you are in south Louisiana when they have a collection of spices at the local biscuit place!

Hands down the BEST biscuits in Lafayette. Must try the blueberry biscuit. You will be hooked immediately. If you prefer a savory, order the chicken biscuit. It comes with a delish tangy sauce.

This is a great little, local dive. The food was delish and the biscuit fell apart. It wasn't even split. I appreciated the Cajun seasoning on the table, which is somewhat necessary if you want to give it a real Cajun flavor.

Breakfast

I was in town for work I previously stopped here before but didn't do a review last year. They are always busy but the wait isn't extremely long. Everything is made to order and the food is fresh. The first day I got the breakfast special with potatoes and fried fish it was amazing and the biscuit. This is my go to spot when I come out here for work. The second day I got the grits instead of the potatoes, the only issue I had was my eggs weren't cooked the same as the last time and it didn't taste the same. I'll still be back overall it's not a disappointment and the prices are amazing.

Best biscuits ever man! I seriously dream about the blueberry biscuits sometimes. My grandpa used to get them for me on Fridays before school, a forever memory we'll share. I recommend to any and everyone. Very friendly staff, family vibe.

Whenever work brings me to Lafayette, I stop at Edie's for breakfast. Get there early, 630. It's full of locals, so you know it's a gem. Catfish bites r killer. (Says the lady who had never ever had catfish) Plain, blueberry & honey biscuits cut in quarters. It feeds a crowd. Always fresh, always friendly.

"Luv ya like a biscuit " by far the best biscuit I've ever had! Went for breakfast, little hole in the wall looking place. Easy parking, friendly atmosphere. Inside looks old and ran down, but homey feeling to it!

Parish Biscuit - Pancakes Tray (comes with 2: we had already served the other toddler)

Parish Biscuit was absolutely phenomenal, from the customer service to the delicious food. The…read moreportion sizes were huge and the meals were well-seasoned and tasty. My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Once we finally found it, we were very happy both because - yay we found it - and it smelled so yummy inside. I love a breakfast place with a full bar too. Drinks before 10am, yes, please! So, we get in line to order our yummer biscuits. I like places that have counter type service where you pay for your food and sit. It can make it easier when you have a big group or in a hurry. I ordered the fried chicken hot honey biscuit, the Cameron! ahh hot honey! I would have ordered the crawfish one, because I so those coming out of the kitchen, and holy hell! It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I really liked everything about this place. And it was all so clean and the staff were friendly too. I will be back next time I am in town to try more of those biscuits and maybe another Irish coffee? :-)

I had previously been…read moreto their downtown location, which I believe has since closed, so this visit was to the location off Ambassador Caffery. The interior of this location was very nice and welcoming. There was a good mix of seating options that seemed accommodating for both larger groups and smaller parties. The music selection was also enjoyable and added positively to the overall atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and andouille omelette. I will say the presentation was very stark and uninteresting. Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. Next time, I would likely try something different from the menu.

There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!

The main issue here is the overall service experience and the food quality. The interior is old school but immediately chaos; there is a Luby's style ready serve food line and tables as well for dine in. We didn't know but apparently you just find a table and sit down, we were standing around waiting to be seated for a bit. Apparently you order lunch plates at this hot food line and then order breakfast via your server at the table. This makes no sense. We waited 35 minutes for staff to take our breakfast order and beverages unsuccessfully, so I went up and ordered a lunch plate of smothered pork and just paid up front. The guy working the ready made food line was also pretty rude and didn't want to be there; great! It was definitely below Treebeard's level and was very salty and not very flavorful. The sauce that they poured on the rice was extremely salty as well. Meh food quality and the absolute chaos of the brunch dining experience made the brunch meal very unenjoyable for our group. We left afterwards and went to another restaurant to eat.
