    Cheeseburger Omelet
    Julia V.

Fast and quick service in this cute and quirky diner, we were really impressed with the delicious caramel ice coffee and high-quality beef. My husband and I ordered the cheeseburger omelet and Big Mike special, two dishes that both included well-seasoned and high quality angus beef. My cheeseburger omelet in particular was absolutely delicious--a medley of beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers and cheddar cheese. The biscuits, on the other hand, were grainy and glazed with sweet butter, and ultimately a menu item that we really didn't care for. They also lacked structural integrity, and appeared to be lacking a crispy and buttery exterior. Biscuits aside, we loved all the other side options and we want to go back to try the fried green tomatoes and fried jalapeños.

The service was amazing! Super friendly & attentive! The place is clean with a nostalgic atmosphere. The BEST was the fried green tomatoes salad! It's not on the menu so you'll have to request it when ordering! I highly recommend it for a vegetarian option. Delicious!!! The food is plentiful in portions but the hamburger steak was lacking seasoning! I didn't eat it! The onion rings were big and good but again no real flavor! The club sandwiches were good & presented nicely! No one at the table ate the fries so I tasted one since fries are usually loved by all and they tasted different... ‍ not sure why but the oil had an odd flavor! Overall our experience here was good so yes, I recommend this place!

I loved the decoration and vibe of this restaurant. I also appreciated when we went on a Sunday at noon we had the option to pick from the breakfast or lunch menu. My boyfriend thought his breakfast platter was a great deal and the quality of his food was great. I had the blackened catfish salad and the salad and fish was nice and fresh. I'm docking one star because the fish was very salty. I had to get my boyfriend to try it and he agreed.

We had chicken and sausage gumbo, Pepper Jack boudin balls, bam bam gator bites and the blackened chicken pasta. The waiter this time was better than the waitress we had last time. He was very attentive and made sure we never had to ask for refills. The appetizers came out fairly normal time-wise I would say. The main portion took a little bit longer than what you're used to at a franchise restaurant but here that's perfectly fine as it's worth the couple extra minutes. The gumbo is perfect(I love when gumbo is not over complicated) I like to add a lil hot sauce to it and it's delicious... only thing is, while they already give generous portions... the cup and the bowl looked exactly the same except I think in the bowl they give you one extra scoop of rice... which would be just fine if it wasn't like $6 more. But still delicious nonetheless. The bam bam gator bites were really good and I highly recommend them. If you like bam bam shrimp you'll love these. The pepper jack boudin balls were good, nothing special but they were definitely worth the try. My co-worker had the blackened chicken pasta and when I asked him how it was he said "dude, it's really good!" lol. The building is pretty unique and they have some outside seating with a massive beautiful tree that over looks the restaurant and takes claim to some of the asphalt in the parking lot lol. But it's a great spot for birthdays, good lunch menu deals, casual date night or if you wanna blow some steam off, they have a little bar in the restaurant as well. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend. I'm from East Texas, so I'm no Cajun/Louisianan but they truly got some good grub here. I'll definitely be coming back several more times when I get the chances. I will warn you, I believe the food is freshly made so when it gets to the table, give it some time to cool off because it comes out HOT.

We came in and went straight to the counter to order. We received great recommendations from the nice lady at the counter. Remind me of a yeast roll all our food was really good, balanced flavors. Only wish I could have asked for my burger to be cooled medium or even medium-well. The burgers were over cooked, but not to the point you couldn't eat them. I know ow some people like a grilled crust on their burgers. The fries were so crispy and seasoned just right. The pork chop was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, incredibly tender, and honestly tender enough to cut with a fork. It had a great char from the grill that added so much flavor, and the pickled peppers on top cut through the richness of the pork perfectly. The dirty rice underneath reminded me of my mom's rice dressing and soaked up all the juices from the chop. It was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had. My wife ordered the smoke fried chicken, and it was also excellent. The crust was crispy while the chicken stayed juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato biscuits were light and delicious, and the pepper honey tied everything together nicely. For my taste, it leaned just a little on the sweet side, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. My daughter ordered the Social Cheeseburger with just meat and cheese. She loved it, and I was impressed too. Even with such a simple order, the burger was juicy, well seasoned, and served on a fantastic bun. She and my wife both could not stop talking about the hand cut fries. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and some of the best fries we've had in a while. From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. We left very impressed and will definitely make a point to stop here whenever we are in the Lafayette area.

More specifically their flatbreads and loaded fries, which I do not currently see on their website. Most of the time they have loaded fries which in the past have consisted of gravies and sauces. One preparation we ordered came with pickled okra. The fried green tomatoes are also very good, especially to start with or share. As far as main dishes go we have tried the following: All Hail Caesar (Flatbread) Spicy Chicken Sandwich Smoke Fried Chicken-N-Biscuits Social Cheeseburger The Mac n Cheese is a must get as a side in my opinion. One of the first times we visited they had carrot cake as a dessert, we still talk about that carrot cake today. If you are a sweet tea lover this place has a twist which I love. Their sweet contains brown sugar and mint, get it, try it, it's delicious.
