Y'all. I'm about to rock your world with this recommendation. You're welcome in advance. This is the epitome a hidden gem. It's at the end of Ambassador Caffery tucked in a little strip mall. Since a coworker told me about it and...(then to prove she was right about how great it was)...took me there last week and now I can't stop telling people about Noah's Cafe. They only do lunch so get there between 10 and 2 if you want to try this place. They do excellent plate lunches with your choice of a protein and two sides. On my first visit I chose the crawfish etouffee and the fried catfish with corn moque choux and smothered okra for my sides. It was delicious! Honestly, like my granny made it. The next time I got a BLT and added grilled onions and a fried egg to it which was a total game changer and blew my mind it was so dang yummy! I got a case of serious food envy as I was leaving today when I passed a table that was sharing a plate of huge, crunchy looking and delicious smelling onion rings. Guess where I'm eating lunch tomorrow?

When asked what is the best restraunt for soul food? The people of Lafayette have suggested several local soul food restaurants. Noah's cafe was on the list. Nestled in a small strip mall this is a hidden gem. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I spoke with Mary who is a total sweetheart and along with the others had great customer service. They have a great menu, something for everyone. I ordered the turkey wings with cornbread dressing, green beans and yams. The portions were huge, hot, and fresh. The wings were well seasond moist tender fall off the bone goodness with an explosion of flavor. The cornbread dressing was the best dressing I have ever had and compliments the spices of the wings. The green beans were also seasoned well and the yams were so fresh and tasty a balance of sweet savory cinnamon deliciousness. The other dish we ordered was the fried pork chop plate with 2 large scoops of mashed potatoes and gravy baked mac and cheese and green beans. Now, the pork chops are made to order they were not overly battered so you could tast the freshness of the pork which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mashed potatoes were fresh and homemade with brown gravy that gave them the added taste. The mac and cheese perfectly cooked pasta is creamy cheesey yummy goodness. The place is absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back. 5 claps from me.

This is one Of my favorite home cooking places! There is nothing that's not Fabulous on their menu. Also the people who work here are among the kindest and sweetest I've ever been around!!!!!

After discovering this golden gem in Lafayette for the first time, I was hooked. Theres always a line during lunch time, so be prepare and know what you want to order, once they are ready to take you order, they do not play no games! They try to get people in and out, which keeps the line moving! We had tried the following: - Roast Beef Poboy - delicious roast beef poboy, just the perfect amount of mayo, and the bread was really nice and soft on the inside, and chewy on the outside - Smothered Chicken + Cornbread Dressing + Potato Salad w/Cornbread - the smothered chicken was okay, not big fan of chicken white meat, unless its fried ;) , the dressing and potato salad was delicious, and the cornbread was nice and moist - Hamburger Steak + Cornread Dressing + Corn w/Cornbread - hamburger steak was really delicious, very flavorful - Shrimp Jambalaya? - not exactly sure if this is the correct name on the menu, but it was indeed delicious! Very flavorful and big portion I noticed a lot of people ordered the etouffee with fried fish.. and I also hear the bread pudding is to die for... I think I will try that next time I come!

You won't find friendlier people, tastier food or a greater example of Lafayette's local culture and cuisine than Noah's. No kidding.

This is a great place for a blue plate special and they have a good a'la carte menu as well. I just wish they kept longer hours.

Fair warning: the appetizers are a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. Let's start with the shrimp. Butterflied and fried to a beautiful golden crisp, then drizzled in a honey ginger-chili glaze that gives it that perfect glossy finish. Told y'all I had adjectives. It's a party in your mouth - perfectly balanced sweet and savory with just the right touch of heat. A must-order. Now how do you follow that? Don't worry, I got y'all. The Thai ribs are sticky, so be prepared to get messy. Slow-cooked St. Louis style, they fall right off the bone and are coated in a sweet and spicy soy glaze. Don't even think about using your napkin until the end. Every bite hits that perfect balance of sweet, savory, and rich depth. I'm going to be very upset if y'all don't order these! The place is still under construction, so seating is limited - but even with that, it's absolutely worth the wait!

We got the spinach dip for appetizer (3/5). Very chill environment. Also the lemonade is in a bottle and is very tart.

My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Once we finally found it, we were very happy both because - yay we found it - and it smelled so yummy inside. I love a breakfast place with a full bar too. Drinks before 10am, yes, please! So, we get in line to order our yummer biscuits. I like places that have counter type service where you pay for your food and sit. It can make it easier when you have a big group or in a hurry. I ordered the fried chicken hot honey biscuit, the Cameron! ahh hot honey! I would have ordered the crawfish one, because I so those coming out of the kitchen, and holy hell! It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I really liked everything about this place. And it was all so clean and the staff were friendly too. I will be back next time I am in town to try more of those biscuits and maybe another Irish coffee? :-)
