    French Dip
    Jacqueline M.

Just ordered a French Dip to go. I'd never been here before, but in town for work. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I'm skeptical of deli meat, but I am so happy I took this chance! Sandwich was so yummy! Fresh bread, meat, and ingredients! I highly recommend !

I love a good Cuban and brisket is always a good idea. This is why I keep coming back to Schlotzsky's. They combine the two and holy hell is it amazing. The Cuban Brisket Sandwich is a meat lovers dream. Its savory, (thanks to the meats) moist, (hello mustard) and crispy (pickles and cheddar jalapeño bun). This is quite possibly the most delicious sandwich I've had outside of Que Rico in Slidell. It's tender and on point every single time. Service is fast and friendly. Go! You're welcome.

This is my favorite sandwich spot in this area. Food is consistently fresh, delicious and service is fast and friendly. It's always clean, also. Presentation is always nice, nothing's ever just thrown together, it's all done right every time. There are tons of restaurant choices, but this one keeps me coming back. Some days I crave a Schlotzsky's sandwich and nothing else will do. Large menu, healthy choices, and I'd recommend this particular location to everyone!

Love this place, but closing at 7:30 is absurd. If you aren't going to stay open until at least 9 then you might as well close at 2

Our office order is typically around $120 every time we go, so we've been loyal customers for a while. Today, we ordered two pizzas with extra sauce -- one was supposed to come with balsamic glaze and the other with pepper jelly, which we order often. Unfortunately, neither sauce was included. We didn't realize until we had already driven all the way back to Moss Street from Carencro. When we called, the employee seemed very annoyed by the situation. We were told we couldn't get a refund (which was completely fine with us), but that we could drive back to pick up the sauces. We chose to go back, and when we arrived, the cups were partially thrown at my coworker and the staff was extremely rude. I then called to speak with a manager to calmly explain the situation, but the manager was also rude, dismissive, and ended up hanging up on me mid-conversation. Mistakes happen, and we completely understand that. What was disappointing was the way the situation was handled and the disrespect shown afterward. Because of this experience, our office will unfortunately no longer be supporting Pizza Amore in Carencro.

Every time someone asks where we want to eat, Alesi is always at the top of the list. I'll admit, I usually order the pizza because it's just that good, but the few times I've ventured into other items on the menu, I've never been disappointed. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It's truly sad to hear they're selling the business. Alesi isn't just another pizza place--it's a Lafayette staple and a place that has created so many great memories for families like mine. I sincerely hope the new owners preserve what has made this restaurant so special. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and go while you can. You won't regret it.

So, when we finally returned to Lafayette I couldn't wait for my family to experience the most authentic Italian restaurant in the city. The decor had not changed one bit, so I had hope that nothing else did. Alas, it did. We had pasta and pizza, and neither was anywhere near what used to be served here. The spaghetti and sauce looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp long enough to dry it out, and the pizza was so underwhelming that my son considered having me evaluated for speaking of this place so highly. I've come to learn that the third generation is in charge now, but it's apparent no one cares in the kitchen. To rely on the name alone will not change the fact the sub par food is being served. I will consider that it may have been an off night. It happens. But in Lafayette an off night will cost you a customer who will never return. Competing with Imoelli's, Marcello's, and now Saricca's and Cugino, you're going to need to step it up. Pizza Artista has some of the best pies in town, and it puts to shame what came out of Alesi's kitchen. I wish someone could save this institution. It was a tradition, but now they've lost the tradition.

Yes, it was crowded, but that's a healthy sign! In fact, we were lucky enough to find a parking space in the lot. From antipasto to dessert everything was top notch. So, we went to Italy and came back changed people. In fact, I started making my own pasta being inspired by what I experienced. There is a tremendous difference between fresh and shelf. We finally made it back to Sarrica's last Saturday, and I don't know how one could be more impressed, but they did it again! We got there early and immediately got a table. A half hour later the place was getting packed. We went straight to the Primo skipping the antipasto this time. Our food arrived quickly, and at first the portion looked smaller than before. But I was deceived! The dish was full! And delicious! And gone! I'm usually not known for cleaning my plate, but had we been in a darker corner I probably would be licking what's left! No, seriously, it's that good! This place would be popular in Sicily or Rome or Tuscany! You can tell someone in the kitchen is proud of what they're serving to be so consistent. There's no question we'll be returning - if we find a parking space!
