This place used to be my favorite but had really gone downhill over the last year. We came a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday at 2p. And they were out of lemonade. Said they had already broken it down for the day a full 6 hours before closing. Then today, I ordered 2 scoops of fruity Fran and they didn't bother telling me they were out of fruity Fran till after they brought my mom's order. Hope this makes it to the owners. $15 for a sandwich and drink is insane even for today's inflation. The menu has changed, with price increases and food presentation changed. My sandwich contained a thin layer of chicken salad only in center of bread with all of the ends being completely void of chicken salad. I waited over 40 minutes for a curbside order when the restaurant was completely empty. This is not the first time this has happened before either. I was told in the drive thru that curbside orders are to be brought out and not be given in the drive thru. I will not be back here, and am very disappointed with the service. read more

The food is all premade, I have a dairy allergy and everything has cheese (unpopular opinion but that's gross on salad anyway). The girl at the register, Alyssa I believe, was possibly one of the rudest people I've encountered. Did not say hello, or smile through the entire encounter. She was pointing at the menu instead of speaking and had an attitude. Was very excited to come for my birthday and I will not be back, VERY rude employees. Fresh Croissants loaded with my favorite chicken salad, the Fancy Nancy really hit the spot on this South Louisiana hot day. I ordered with Door Dash for the first time. I found Chicken Salad Chick was a little skimpy on the lettuce and they used cherry tomatoes instead of the nice big steak tomatoes. The butter cream cookies were melt in your mouth delicious. The fruit was right on fresh, fresh and juicy strawberries and huge sweet grapes. I will be visiting again but find it's better when you eat there. read more

A restaurant that specializes in chicken salad? Whaaaattt?! I'm so there. I wish I had thought of this idea because it is genius. Here you can choose from 15 different types of chicken salad. Yes, fifteen. They have everything from bare bones (but delicious) chicken salad to combinations which range from fruity to nutty to burn your lips off of your face spicy. There is something for every palate here for sure. And if you're just not a chicken salad fan (we can't be friends anymore, sorry:) they also serve deli sandwiches. This place really knocks it out of the park. So I ordered the Original Chick Combo-your choice of sandwich and side, a pickle spear and a cookie all for $8. I chose the Fancy Nancy chicken salad which has Fuji apples, pecans and grapes. It was superb. For my side I got the fresh fruit...strawberries, apples, blueberries and grapes. The restaurant is decorated so darn cute you'll definitely want to dine in at least once, but there is a drive thru for those short on time. Super disappointed!! Just walked out totally disgusted with the Manager and drink machine. Went to fill up my cup and mold came out with the ice into my cup. Although, they came immediately to clean it, the manager that was sitting down in his computer next to the machine offered no apologies. Never even said a word to us. They young girl that waited on us was very nice and did apologize. Seems to me the manager needs to be trained! I heard him say, yeah it happens and I forgot about it. By far one of my most favorite places to eat when I'm on this end of Lafayette. I absolutely love the Jalapeño Holly, I could eat this all day. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, the fact you can sample before you select is very awesome, and everything is made fresh. I guess if I had to say one bad thing, it's the location..... I wish it was better located, very difficult to get in and out, I'm willing to bet if they had a better location their customers and profits would double easily. read more

The food is good, but I am giving them a three star review because I find it very annoying that they put a small blob of chicken salad in the middle of your bread. It's not really enough for your sandwich and it's not spread out, so I usually order an extra tub of chicken salad. I love the grape salad, but inspect it carefully because there will always be a couple of grapes that are shriveled and should have been thrown away. One other complaint is that you cannot submit a review directly to chicken salad chick unless you're willing to type in a 16 digit code from your receipt. read more

The food is excellent. The service kinda sucks though. The workers are usually not very friendly. And you can expect to NEVER receive enough crackers for the scoop. I cannot understand why you do not receive more crackers when you order an extra scoop with The Chick. On 5/25 I ordered The Chick with an extra scoop and even specifically asked for extra crackers for the extra scoop, because been there done that more than once, but still did not receive any more crackers than the usual amount. The Ambassador location has always been great in the areas of service and food quality. Today the food I received via the drive through was fabulous as usual but the personality of the drive through employee was poor. She was disengaged and "short" with her directions, too soft spoken to be heard, and appeared to be sleep walking thru her job. Take a lesson from Cane's employees. People want to eat where employees are happy to serve. read more

I give one star only because of the customer service. The food is delicious, as always. Unfortunately the staff at this location are less than pleasant. I've been in the area working for a few weeks and was excited that this restaurant was here, just like at home. The first time I went I placed an order online and ran in to pick it up. When I got there I added to my order, paid the additional and it wasn't until I got back to my hotel I realized it wasn't added to my bag. The girl at the counter acted as if my picking up my order was a total inconvenience for her and then adding to it just made it worse. I had to ask for my cup and ended up getting it myself when she didn't appear in any hurry to help me. I decided to try again, thinking maybe someone was just having a bad day. This trip I went through the drive-thru. The girl taking my order wasn't friendly and when I got around to the window her demeanor didn't change. They weren't busy on either visit and with customer service like theirs I can see why. read more

I hate chicken salad. The onions, celery and loads of mayo with cold shredded chicken makes me GAG! But...I heard this place was good and I was quite interested by their menu. Not the "classic" chicken salad your mom and grandma made growing up. The kind I absolutely can't stand. I got the buffalo chicken as a sandwich and I'm pleased to say, that I now like chicken salad but only from chicken salad chick. Came to visit my friend for a girls weekend and needed to stop by Whole Foods. I saw this place and HAD to try it!! (who doesn't love chicken salad?!) I didn't go inside but went through the drive-thru. The ladies there were so sweet and I got the croissant chicken salad sandwich with fruit, pickle, and cookie... all for $8! Super good food!
