But, there's nothing negative I can say about Salad Station. The manager is extremely friendly and hard working, setting a great tone for everyone who works there. Workers smile, and they are pleasant and eager to please. They are constantly restocking and cleaning and they'll even chop up your salad if you wish. I love that I can choose a sweet or savory salad here. I was in the mood for some chicken but wanted some sweet fruits too, so I got a base of spinach with a little bit of blue cheese then piled on the chicken, strawberries and blueberries. To finish it off I added some golden raisins and a bit of pecans. It was perfect. They have just about every type of salad topping and dressing that your heart desires so just go, browse around a bit and when you think of your perfect combo, make it! It's fun and easy. Since I moved back to Lafayette, I've been enjoying all the food! So lately I've been craving a vegetable-laden salad. I couldn't think of a single place in town that serves a great salad, so I was happy that Yelp listed this place. What a find. I know salad-by-the-pound can get very spenny, very fast. But I really wanted a great salad, and I have zero concept of how much food weighs. So I decided to go all in my first time and just see what it would cost to get exactly what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised that my salad, drink, and tax was $14. Not a cheap lunch but definitely worth every penny. The lettuce options are great, and the toppings seem endless. I love the dressing choices and how easy they make it to sample things. Everything was fresh, clean, and there are earth-friendly options. I was so excited to discover Lafayette finally has a salad restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and safety precautions are there to insure little chance of cross contamination between guests. There's a wide variety of toppings. You are free to choose a few or as many as you like. No menu to study, just start creating and weigh to determine price. The ingredients are all very fresh. The best place to go for salads EVER!! This place was awesome and healthy too. I loved everything about this place from the BYO salads and soups, to the biodegradable bowls and containers. It was really expensive; 2 salads, 2 soups, & 2 drinks for $39.00 but oh man was it worth it. I will be back and I can't wait to try all different types of combinations here. Today, I brought the kids here. 4 years old and 3 years old. The employees at Salad Station made our time there effortless from beginning to end. They gave the babies colors and a coloring book so that I could grab our food. My baby girl started crying and they brought them both a cookie. They brought me to-go lids, helped me clean our space as we were leaving, and all of them were just generally as nice as can be. Their kindness and sympathy and helpfulness left a lasting impression on me-one that will lead me here to eat much more often when I'm in the area. Oh! And the salad bar and hot bar are lovely as well! I mixed my salad with tons of fresh avocado, black beans, corn, and crispy wontons with a small amount of ranch- YUM! The kids shared a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup! (And they ACTUALLY ate it!!!) Just an all around happy time during a season when eating out is very cumbersome. Will be back! read more

This was a great place to go eat until I went in for a salad and saw one of the employees dipping her fingers into a cup of dressing taste testing all the dressings and touching the dressing bottles with her licked fingers and then touching the tongs. After she fixed her salad she went to the back and ate the left over chicken off the sheet tray, licking her fingers right in the doorway for everyone to see and then going off to touching other things in the back like clean bowls. So good! Ordered of Waitr a number of times, you can get a 6 topping or 10 topping salad on the app. They also have sides, soups and drinks. The veggies are always fresh and bright and they have a pretty significant selection of toppings. Their flavored waters are also great! Would definitely recommend this place!
