There isn't much service since you checkout like fast food at the counter. However, they do bring the food out to you, and the staff were very nice. The ambiance was nice. Music was really good. The food was really really good. My only negative is I wish there was a bit more of the protein you choose. For almost $50 for 2 people we left still hungry. We did have an appetizer as well. I went back to this gem of a restaurant to see if it was as cold for dinner as it was for lunch last time I was in town. The answer is definitely yes. I started with some pan fried dumplings which were delicious. My Hawaiian shrimp were cooked perfectly, the rice was steamed just like I like it, the veggies were good and the miso soup was perfect. I don't know why this place is called Hawaii Grill they don't serve any dish that I have ever seen at a Hawaiian restaurant. It's all just plain Asian American style take out but they throw pineapple in a couple dishes. If you don't have Katsu, Spam Musubi, Kalua Pork, Loco Moco, or not even Macaroni Salad for a side, it isn't a Hawaiian place in my opinion. When I saw Hawaiian Grill, I was really happy but upon going there and looking at the menu, there is not one straight up Hawaiian dish. No Kalua pork, no Siamin or Lau Lau. I ended up ordering the shrimp soup and it was ok! The name is misleading, it should of been Asian Fusion but definitely not Hawaiian Grill. Let me start by saying the flavor of the food is great but not sure if it fits the name and the type of food it implies. The hawaian chicken was good sweet salty and tender. Rice and veggies great flavor. But not sure if it is Hawaiian taste a resembles a Chinese menu. Every Hawaiian menu I have ever seen has macaroni salad, katsu and definitely Loco Moco and they have none of this. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat and Hawaii Grill popped up, it had a 5 star rating and I was like I must try this, sure enough, it was definitely worth it. When I first walked in I immediately noticed the decorations, there were Tikis and pineapples everywhere. The food is fast, delicious and priced well. I ordered Pan Fried Dumplings, Hawaiian Shrimp with noodles and veggies, it came with broccoli, carrots, along with some pineapples. Everything was delicious, especially the shrimp. Ate here between errands on a popular "romantic holiday' in February. Compared to the Cajun place next door they were pretty slow and quiet, but that was perfect for us. The food was good, hot, and fast. Fried rice and noodles were decent, but not amazing. We both loved the pan fried dumplings and our entrees (bourbon chicken and Hawaii chicken). This little paradise was the most unexpected delight I've had in a while! The aura is amazing and the decorations are adorable!
