Hadn't been back in a while because we moved to Breaux Bridge. Well, visited yesterday.... It practically sucked. Literally, it was just horrible. Got Sat a table immediately but waited almost 15 mins before the waitress took our drink order (all waters). She returned with the waters about 5 mins later and took our app order. She never checked on us until 20 mins later when she brought our apps. Told her to give us around 5 mins and then we'd place our food order. Well, another 20 + minutes goes by and no waitress. I had to go find her. She takes our food order and fills our waters. It took 40 minutes to make 2 sushi rolls and a Binto box. 40 MINUTES !! Also, in that time, no waitress. When she finally delivered our food, I asked for a to-go box and the check. 20 minutes later, still waiting for the to-go box and the check. FOOD - Absolutely horrible!! The sushi had zero flavor and fell apart! It you're a sushi lover, we all hate sushi that falls apart. I just put the chopsticks down and ate with a spoon. My oldest made me stop at a gas station because it went straight to her gut!! With that said - I (we) will never again visit this location. It used to be so good and I don't know what happened.

For appetizers, we got the tuna takaki (10/10) w/ extra Ponzo sauce to dip, mushroom beef soup (10/10), and snow crab salad (10/10). The tuna was large enough to split between two people! For sushi, we tried the da boss (3.5/5), yo momma (4/5) and double wammy (5/5 and my fav!!) all on soy. Great portion sizes!! They have so much on the menu to try! We will be back!

For sushi, we ordered the Philly roll, Ricky roll, cucumber wrap, and the sashimi roll. The Rickey roll was the standout, it was melting-in-your-mouth awesome, easily the best thing we had. The cucumber wrap was also really good and tasted fresh. The sashimi roll was okay, not bad, just not as impressive as the others. We were a little concerned at first because we were the only people in the restaurant, but honestly the food and service were both very good, so it ended up being a great visit overall. I'd definitely come back, especially for that Ricky roll.

From the start, the environment felt uncomfortable--everything seemed hot and sticky, including the floors and tables, and the temperature inside didn't help. The music, played from a large speaker near the counter, was very loud and didn't feel appropriate for a dining atmosphere. On top of that, the noise and fussing coming from the kitchen was hard to ignore and took away from the overall experience. When it came to the food, something was off. I'm not overly picky when it comes to sushi, but the quality here was disappointing. The rice was too warm and sticky, and the fish had a flavor that didn't seem quite right. Given the pricing, we expected a much better experience. I will say, our waitress was wonderful. She appeared to be the only one consistently checking on customers and handled everything with a great attitude. We truly appreciated her effort, especially since it seemed like others were less engaged. Unfortunately, despite her service, the overall experience wasn't one we'd choose to repeat.
