Poke Geaux is a favorite for my husband and I as an inexpensive date night. Like we want sushi but don't want to drop a bunch of cash or get dressed up. This was my first check-in here, but I've been here many times. They are always friendly and fast and actually excited about the food, which I appreciate. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. I have only one issue. I always pay with my cc and almost never carry cash, but they don't have the kinds of receipts where you can write in the tip. Gotta get better at carrying cash or they gotta get a different receipt system.

What I noticed and loved upon walking in was how clean the interior was and how spacious the tables were. I was able to pull out my tablet and do a little work while waiting on my friend. I decided to build my own bowl and I had all of the toppings I wanted written down on a post-it because I'm awkward in restaurants like this. It starts with your "base" which is brown rice, sushi rice or salad (there may be others available). Then they serve up your toppings cafeteria style in a mixing bowl where everything is stirred together and laid on top of your base. I'm not into raw fish at all so I played it safe with brown rice, shrimp tempura and chicken. Along with my toppings and sauces, it was pretty delicious. I think it's a wee bit pricey though - maybe worth it if you're into fancy shmancy raw fish. Oh and shout out to "La", she's so sweet and a great server!

I definitely enjoy the bowl more, but if you are on the go, the burrito is the way to go.

We came not expecting much, but once we started eating their food, it really changed our mind. The chef did just a great job and the drinks were very playful and reminds of you of a tiki bar. We had almost the whole menu on two separate occasions. We had the following: -Soy Glazed Spam Musubi - spam, seasoned rice wrapped in nori, topped with sunny side egg -Maye Belle's Wings (Tonkatsu BBQ & Seoul Hot) - both flavors were delicious, and the pineapple relish was bomb -Bun Stuff - gochujang pork belly, sunny side eggs in a bao -Street Corn - char grilled corn, oxaxaca cheese and fixings -Tuna Stack - tuna, guacamole and toppings, served with wonton chips -Gringo Nachos - spam nachos with wonton chips, enough said! -Pork Banh Mi Sliders - pork patty, hawiian roll, banh mi fixings -Blistered Shishito Peppers - these peppers were delicious! -Sticky Spare Ribs - char siu, fall off the bone ribs -Teres Major Tataki - not your average beef tataki, tender and flavorful -Curry Favor - curry rubbed pork belly, kimchi and coconut cream, so good! -Guacamole - served with wonton chips -Maybe Fries - delicious fries with their maybe flakes -Poke Bowl (Tuna) - tuna poke with the fixings Everything we had was delicious! Check out their drinks too, they were really good! Check @eatinglafayette on Instagram and Facebook for more Lafayette food things!

First time here, awesome experience. Great bartender slash server, you look at the menu then go to…read morethe bar to order, He even made mock cocktails for us as we don't drink. On to the delicious Korean fusion delights. Tuna stack served on the avocado was great, so flavorful, the fried wontons made for a awesome bite. Street corn very good, mix everything together for best bite The pork banh mi sliders was over the top good, the savory of the meat, and sweetness of the slider bun (Hawaiian bread) was a perfect match. Teres major tataki very well prepared and sauce went well. The star of the show was the sticky spare ribs, so tender and you pick the glaze, the char siu marinade made this along with the tonkotsu bbq sauce just added more flavor, also the portion was nice. Will definitely return, we need to try other menu items.

Ordering: This place is designed to order and pay for your food at the counter and then find a seat. I was confused on ordering because the menu wasn't really user friendly. I wasn't sure if I could order a combo or if everything had to purchased separately. The waitress/cashier was very helpful and explained the menu and option to me. Food: I waited about 7-10 mins for the food but it was hot and fresh. The taste was spicy but totally my fault. Otherwise they were perfect. Restroom: The restroom Ms are outside but they are air conditioned. Overall: I went early on a Saturday and it was almost empty. This place can get very crowded and loud. But I would visit here again.

Super delicious and well-sauced wings, fries and chicken cracklin', this late-night spot scratches…read morethe itch when you're hangry and just need something to fill your belly. We dined in on a Friday night and although the place was a little shabby and under-staffed, the wings were dripping with flavor and heat. The wing flavors we ordered were Sum Nasty, Buffalo, KK and TLC--all were delicious but we enjoyed the last two the most! That said, although the food was hot and delicious, there was a 30 min wait time in an otherwise empty restaurant. I also have to mention that the place could use a little tune-up--even with all the dim lighting, it's easy to see that there was not much cleaning or renovations done to make this establishment look presentable. It's clear that KOK's building used to be a German beer hall and not much restoration has been done to gut out the place and make it more appealing to diners. I also think that the wing sauces should feature a description of all the unique flavor variations so that customers understand what they are ordering. With all that in mind, I would still order takeout from this place because the wings are solid and the portion sizes are huge. I'm also excited to try their other menu items like the Southwest egg rolls or the mozzarella sticks. 6/10 I recommend getting takeout or hitting up Ubereats!
