Scary experience. Food was horrible. Grill was dirty. Black burnt oil taste. And charred bits from the dirty grill in the food. Felt sick after. Beware. read more

. First visit here, lunch w/ Police Officer Son. Menu, service, & prep are unusual for this area. Once seated, one gets a tray with a bowl, small cup, utensils, & a little card. The card is used to indicate type of noodles, either ''Udon" or Italian, as desired, at the time of beverage ordering. Then one goes through a buffet-style bar to select their desired ingredients from an extensive array of raw seafood, fowl, meats, veggies, spices, etc. Those are then given to a cook, diners are re-seated, and in about 5 minutes waitstaff serve the concoction. The mix is about as oily as regular Oriental restaurant fair, but w/o massive amounts of sugar, salt, or MSG. One can add additional spices as desired, initially, or at the table. It was very tasty and filing. This is not "diet food" & the amount served is tres-grand, so you'll most likely need a doggie box. For us elders, each serving makes some 3 or 4 meals. This is not a "cheap lunch", but one does get full value. A major advantage is that everyone gets to choose everything they are to eat. Do not discount that feature, it is great. Pleasant surroundings, nice waitstaff, clean restrooms. Parking in front center lot, little shade. As this is on one of our "usual travel routes"; I'll surely go back again a few times per year. Clean and nicely set up they have quite a few choices of proteins and vegetables. They will explain how to go about choosing what you want. Pick your ingredients, let them cook it! It's not a traditional groove- but after you get the just, you're ready to roll! Fresh ingredients. Cooked well and loaded with flavor! It's a fun experience that's worth the visit. read more

Ok... I loves me an all you can eat Mongolian situation... This is more like "all you can stuff in a bowl at one time". But it was solid. I'm damn good at creating a stir fry, so I knew it would hit pretty hard. Just one question... When did every damn thing get so expensive? I guess I'm old... and hungry. That's the price you pay. Anyway... Good food. Good selection of ingredients... If you know how to throw something yummy together. read more

Holy cow! Where is everyone? This place is absolutely amazing! Pick your protein, veggies and sauce. They cook it up. The price is outstanding. My meal was a regular portion. However, you can add a second portion for like $2. Seriously. This place should be slammed with people. The price is right, food amazing and variety perfect. read more

Amazing food, great service and the restaurant is very clean. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection.

Rather confusing at first to figure out how to go about getting your food but the waitress was nice enough to explain how the process works. I love how I can pick my own toppings at the bar area or choose from the menu. There were endless options. I decided on a vegetarian noodle bowl with lots of vegetables and tofu. The szechuan sauce went perfectly with my dish since I prefer spice. I enjoyed the food immensely but I just wish there wasn't so many awkward moments where I didn't know what I was doing. I will return to try new things soon!! read more

Delicious Cooked to perfection. Will go again. Big portions and ordered online and ready when I got there. .

The waitresses did not speak english. When we sat down she gave us a piece of paper, pen, a upside down bowl on a tray and a small cup. When I asked her what do we do with all of that she could not answer. I asked two ladies sitting a few booths down and they were nice enough to tell me what to do with all the things the waitress gave is when we were seated. The food was just ok. The price for two was about the same as if we would have eaten at Sushi Masa. read more

What an absolute GEM! I was a little thrown off upon walking in because I wasn't sure what to expect. The workers walked me through everything & were so helpful! You choose the base of your bowl then load up everything you want them to cook for you. This includes meats, veggies, spices, & sauces. After loading up your bowl yourself from the raw buffet, they cook it for you on a huge hibachi style grill. I made an all veggie bowl with fried rice & it did not disappoint! This place is incredible. So glad I stumbled upon this while in town. read more

Khan Mongolian Grill - Veggie Create Your Bowl - Mongolian Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

Pot stickers & duck sauce were both exceptional!!! Egg roll was just ok. Cheese wonton was creamier/watery than normal. If you get fried rice, they serve you the yellow rice. I recommend getting white rice on the side. All of the vegetables were super crisp and fresh. Meat was fresh and really good- no fat. The sauce is the trick. They give you a bigger bowl than you need- don't fill it up. Definitely return and try something different. read more

The food was delicious!! The staff were kind and friendly! It is the perfect place to go for a calm and relaxing meal. 10/10 recommend!

We didn't quite know what we were getting into here, but wow! It was so good! So, you choose your protein and veggies for your bowl. Then, you add your sauces and add ons. You write down what type of noodles or rice you want and they grill it fresh for you while you wait. Everything was fresh and tasty. The possibilities are pretty much endless. Service was good and quick. read more

This was my second visit and food is great! You make your own dish. It's like a buffet with all the raw meats and seafood and fresh vegetables. You pick your own sauce and the cook prepares it for you and it's brought back to your table. There is plenty of room for large gatherings as well. Recommend this place. read more

You know that one restaurant that just doesn't catch your eye or interest for no apparent reason? Well, I have to admit Kahn Mongolian was one of those places. My friend wanted to try for so long, but I just curved every time. However, with lent season upon us and my decision to go for plant based meals over seafood meals on Fridays, I thought Kahn Mongolian and its "choose your own toppings" model made sense. I was going to create my own, all vegetable medley. It was super confusing at first on how to order but our server made sure to explain and show us exactly how it goes. If you're not too off put by it on your first visit, it should be easy to do on subsequent visits. Anyway, I chose cabbage as my base and along with my toppings and sauce, my dish tasted pretty good! I honestly think non-meat dishes should be a little cheaper...I've gotten similar amounts of food for half the price at other Asian restaurants so that alone could be a deterrent on future visits, but I can't say that many other restaurants have the veggie options that Kahn's does either. read more

The Great Khan Bowl is delicious. I ordered one on Waitr and got $5 off using code Local5!

I really wanted to love this place, but it was disappointing. I've eaten at quite a few Asian-style grills and wok establishments. I love to eat at Mongolian grills, so my hopes were high, but this place let me down. First, it was almost empty. We got there about 7:40 p.m. and it closes at 9 p.m. so maybe that's why. It was quiet, and they don't play music so it seemed dead in there. And, the process to get your food was confusing, not well explained and overly complicated. You had two menus. On one, you ordered your rice, noodles or other base to put your grilled food on. Then you are supposed to bring it with you when you choose your grilled items. But, this is not explained anywhere, and you have to ask the staff. Then there's a separate menu with appetizer items on it. After that, they give you a tray with a small bowl and even smaller sauce dish. You then are supposed to choose your grilled items and hand them to the grill cook with the rice/noodle menu. One of the employees hovered around us the entire time we were choosing our grilled items, and it was a bit uncomfortable. I don't know why he was watching us so closely. You choose your grilled items at a buffet table as you make your way to the sauce station. The bowl was so small I couldn't fit much in it. Then the guy snapped at me when I put peanuts in the grilled items bowl. He said I was supposed to put that in the sauce container. After we sat down, they brought us our Mongolian grill first, then our appetizers, and they got one of our appetizers wrong. The appetizers had obviously been frozen and reheated. On the other hand, the Mongolian grill was decent, and the server was nice. But, I expected much more from this place. A place that specializes in Mongolian grills should knock your socks off. I could go to another place and pay the same amount for a full Chinese buffet where a Mongolian grill comes as part of the package. Other Mongolian grills I've been to at Chinese restaurants are at least as good as this place. Also, you only get one run at the buffet table. This might be standard, but again, I can go to a Chinese buffet and get a bigger plate to put my grilled items on and return multiples times. Like I said disappointing. read more

So I've eaten here three times with today's visit. I am convinced they use either the cheapest cuts of meat or use extreme fatty pieces. Overall it is good. But the beef, chicken, and pork are so fatty and not good. I'd really recommend the owners to begin using real meat and use the BDs Mongolian BBQ model in Detroit. Let me know when you use an all white meat chicken breast or a legit beef end and i'll come back next time I'm in town on business. read more
