Garlic green beans, soup, dumplings, wontons, entrees...everything is great! ADDENDUM:We recently visited and ordered the lemon chicken, which is like orange chicken but made with lemon juice and comes in a brown sauce. I've probably been here way too many times to almost call in my dining room now. I love this place. The food is probably one of the best Chinese food I have had. The buffet is pretty standard Noodles, Fried Rice and a lot of good chicken preparations. I personally like the Soups and the Cheese Wantons as well. Off the buffet, the food is amazing as well. I love the chicken and soft tofu. It's my favorite, along with the fried prawns. It's a must visit. I would totally recommend this place to others. It's a lot of good food. The owners are amazing. We always have a good time when we go there. Just two things that I'd want to point out is that this place needs a little bit of an overhaul. Cute mom and pops Chinese spot & Hands down, the best Chinese you'll find in Lafayette. HOWEVER.... you must order fresh and not from the buffet!! The Pork w/ green beans is a family favorite, especially since you can get extra pork for just $2 extra. The spring rolls are incredible, along with the lemon chicken, black pepper shrimp, & the General Taos chicken. Their fried rice is a little bland, but they have a very tasty Kung Pao cabbage side that is delicious and a great option if you're taking a break on the starch and carbs. I ordered a spring roll, a cup of wonton soup (I had read another review praising it), and for my entree I chose Mongolian Beef. When I unpacked the dinner at home, I quickly discovered my entree had been switched to what appears and tastes like Beef with Chinese vegetables, not what I ordered. Good fresh Chinese off the menu, the buffet is sometimes not as fresh. Overall for the price it's hard to beat. The spicy dumpling soup is fantastic on a cool day. The Chinese spaghetti is really good and I usually get 2 meals from a single order. The Kong Pau(sp) fish is my go to, it's alway good. When ordering egg rolls specific beef, they make them in house and reminds me of the spring rolls in Singapore. Service is sometimes a little slow but remember it truly is a mom and pop operation. read more
