If you're looking for authentic cuisine this is your place. Inside dining area is nice an welcoming. Excellent food, starting with fried fish which came out piping hot and delicious flavor, and the peppers complemented it very well, also if you don't like spicy just eat as is. The fried potatoes look like fries but has a different take but in a good way, and nice seasoning, the bok choy was so fresh crunchy, just great especially for veggie lovers, this along with the green beans rounded out a great evening meal. You may only think of this as more of a take out experience but it's so much more, as they have their own unique style. Service was outstanding with genuine conversation.

The food is pretty tasty, however the amount of vegetables that come in the chicken is tragic, its like 3 parts vegetables and 1 part chicken. They do make the food very quick which is always great!

My family loves this place. Good and delicious food for a nice quick dinner. Located on Johnston in Lafayette going towards abbeville.

2nd visit: chicken w/ black pepper and chicken lo mein. Excellent food AGAIN. We highly recommend this cozy location. The owner is friendly and helpful. Delicious!

Friendly staff, good food, every bit as spicy as the name says. Not for a weak palate. Clean restaurant, and quiet. We were the only ones there when we went on Sunday. Drinks are served by the can. You'll need more than one.

Located off johnston a little past Rouses this quaint place definitely surprises me. There's like 6 tables and it's always empty when I go which is an advantage but it should definitely have more people just based off taste! It's Authentic Chinese and you can tell! The service was nice and quick. The lady who served us was prompt and explained anything we had questions for, as well as made sure we and the food were great. Ordered: -Dumplings w/ Special sauce (steamed but you can get them fried) which were amazing . The spiced oil it was in added a great layer to the dumpling -Cucumbers w/ special sauce ... also AMAZING . Almost the favorite of the meal -Mapo Tofu w/ Beef (this can be ordered without beef) it was so flavorful and not so soupy you couldn't keep it on the spoon which I loved . Even better with rice and a person who didn't like tofu even enjoyed it. (Disclaimer: Doesn't come with rice automatically even though it's portioned big. I think only the meat dishes come with 1 small bowl and extras are $2 each) -Boiled Beef w/ Chili sauce; this one I was skeptical about at first because of the "boiled" part but I looked at some pictures and decided to try it. Man was I glad I got it! The beef was so buttery in the sauce and it went perfect with the rice as well. There were slices of potato which were shockingly good and cabbage in it which i almost liked more than the beef. It was seasoned well and had visible chilis in it which gave it a nice spice. *we also got complimentary fried chip things at the beginning which were so delicious we had to ask for another one Drinks are by the can like someone else said so you may need more than one but they were only $1.50 a piece which is cheap nowadays for drinks. I only needed 1 considering I was so enamored with the food. Second time coming and it might have to become a regular spot.

Great to finally have a Chinese restaurant that serves authentic food. This time I went for some of the more recognized dishes. The Black pepper beef I got medium spice was delicious and fresh they added a good amount of jalapeño to spice it up. The spicy cucumbers were refreshing when she put them down you were inundated with the smell. The dumplings were delicious soft and succulent with a salty and spicy sauce. The shrimp lomein was very good again medium spicy. But the Kung Pao chicken had a perfect spice level and a slight vinegar flavor which is more traditional than the sweet sauce you get everywhere else. Please try and support this business we need more like them. Will be back to try more traditional items

Found this hidden gem by random chance and all I can say is WOW! It blew my expectations out the water. I would definitely come back here just to try the spicy fried chicken and mapo tofu again! It was that good! The dumplings was good too, with their mild spicy vinegar sauce. We gotta keep delicious local restaurants open! #LambChopOnTheGeaux #Lafayettela #Chinesefood #spicyhouse

I love spice! And boy, does this place have it! One of the best authentic Chinese foods in Lafayette. Their competition would be Dynasty. I think they are both pretty comparable. As far as eating at their location, it is a small restaurant and if you have a big party it may be difficult tò accommodate. Getting food to go isn't a bad option here. I loved their spicy fried chicken and fish. Their dumplings were pretty decent as well. I need to try more of their menu. I can't wait!

This is a hidden gem. Being from San Francisco I'm spoiled by good food. Had low expectations when I found it on Yelp on our trip from New Orleans to Houston. This place delivers. Service is great, food is great. Would definitely come again if I'm in that area. Was well worth taking 15 minutes off the route.

I am absolutely delighted that the Lafayette area has an authentic Sichuan restaurant! That is difficult to find... Often only in larger cities with a larger Chinese population. I've only found authentic Sichuan food in Atlanta, Houston, New York, and a few other big metro areas. So needless to say, this is unique and exciting. If you've never tried "Sichuan" food, it's not your typical strip mall lomein chowfun sesame chicken go to hookup... Sichuan food is spicy pungent sour bright and full of a numbing quality that grabs your tongue and sets your palate into overdrive. It is, in my opinion, one of the most intriguing and yummy types of food. Keep in mind... If you're looking for Panda Express, this ain't it. But if you're food curious enough to wade through piles of fresh chili peppers and boiling sesame oil and piles of garlic and onion, you'll be delighted with what you find. Real deal Chinese food with courage and n power. This food is for the brave at heart... or plate. Go get you some. I can't wait to go back.

FINALLY an authentic Chinese restaurant in the Lafayette area!!! The owner is from Sichuan and makes some delicious Szechuan fare. Ask for "ma la" (麻辣) for a mouth-numbing experience. The Dan Dan noodles, twice cooked pork, can't go wrong. I used to live in China and approve this place for a change from the typical sweet & fried General Tsao's you find at typical American Chinese buffets. 地地道道的中餐好赞哦

We have eaten here perhaps a dozen times. Typical USA Oriental buffet fare w/ many choices, none…read morereally authentic and none highly seasoned. We went again & just got home. One big CAVEAT: On occasion, they offer special seafoods like king crab legs. There is a mandatory surcharge for this, even if one doesn't eat or even see the items. I feel this is very unfair and a deceptive practice. This is why we quit going. We are going there now, to see if it has improved. I plan to ask up front re surcharges. The problem is not the amount of the surcharge; but the DECEPTIVE way it is applied. We had zero notification and never even SAW any crab legs, but we were forced to pay. Update: No "surcharge" tonight. Foods all highly sugared. One more warning: the men's room floor is often wet & very slippery, take care ! The waitstaff has been very nice & helpful. Waitress again helpful. Plenty unshaded parking in large lot. Little was unchanged tonight. I'd guess the area Chinese foods situation is just hopeless. Rick

I wish I could give a zero for thiis review. Since they have changed owners, this place has gone…read moredrastically downhill. The wait staff is very slow and have no desire to speed up. The food is atrocious. I say that because we used to come here all the time with the old owner and the food was cooked very well and the presentation of the buffet was exceptional. We went in here today to see how it is now and we were appalled. The food looked like it had been under the heat lights way too long. The Mac and cheese was dried out and brown. The crawfish before were bought in Breaux Bridge and and they tasted excellent. Now they
