I ordered shrimp fried rice, but I would've did better by ordering rice straight outta the rice cooker. Today I decided to make my own shrimp fried rice & it's 1,000x better than Kevin's will ever be. The seafood platter was alright, but that shrimp fried rice was horrible. This is my go to spot for now on when I'm in town for my garfish platter. I asked for it spicy and they delivered it was spicy but not over spicy I had fried rice with mines and it was delicious would definitely recommend it was so good I forgot to snap a pic it was that dang good. read more

Finally checked out Kevin's per reviews. Nice place! Friendly staff, clean restaurant and excellent food! It seems to be a mostly drive thru but I was running errands and needed a place to pit stop for lunch. I had the fried fish and oysters with fried rice - plenty to share - nice combination. I even enjoyed the lettuce and tomato salad, but didn't eat the little bread maybe offer some butter for your bread but it was very fresh. Excellent food - excellent price point.! This has to be one of the most disrespectful establishments I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. I'm not referring to the service as it was fine overall with good speed of delivery and got my order correct. Unfortunately the order was what absolutely ruined my experience. After leaving work, I decided to purchase two plates of the five piece chicken drummettes and wings for myself and my son. Upon looking at the plate, I was completely shocked at the size of the chicken I received. Below is a picture of my son's thumb which was larger than the drumsticks we were given. Great food and it has a drive through. Not the prettiest building, but the food was really good and fresh. I'm sure a takes a second or two longer for drive through but it's expected when your getting stuff cooked to order. I had there shrimp pi boy with a side of gar fish. Ordered a five piece tender with fries on the waiter app. Last time I ordered this it was hot and well seasoned. Today the tenders were cold and the fries were not cooked. On our first trip there, the food and service was fine. It was loudmouth customers seated to one side of us, and the two others that stood over us on the other side, talking loudly to their seated buddies, who were trying to get rid of them the whole time that made us, feel uncomfortable. Trying to sit and eat with two extremely rude and animated conversations going on inches away from is not much fun, but for the price you can't beat the food. We have eaten here about 3 times and I guess third time is the charm because both me and my mother got food poisoning from the fried shrimp. I always thought it was odd how they have so much food for so little price. I believe now they use food that is very close to expiring which is why they douse their veggies and meats in far to much sauce. If you HAVE to eat here just stay away from the shrimp.
