Note: I have not been to this restaurant, only ordered take out so this review is purely on the food and not the location itself. Food is solid, no complaints. Good serving sizes and cooked to order. Very yummy and hits the spot. Handles special orders well. My constructive feedback would be to include more avocado in sushi rolls when they are requested and paid for as extra. Typically there is very little of that ingredient included. Also, the side salads aren't always that fresh.

Oh No You Didn't and Saints rolls. Yes I ordered them based on the names and yes both were phenomenal!

I've been on an Asian kick lately and I have to say, Shinto is my new favorite sushi/hibachi grill place. The first time I dined here I was super jealous that there was no room at the hibachi because they were having a great time over there. I watched from our table as the chefs entertained and wowed their guests. We ordered the baked salmon which was BEYOND delicious. You need their baked salmon in your life. Pronto. Get on that, seriously. We also tried the Oh No You Didn't roll (crab, avocado, shrimp and asparagus) and the Saints roll (spicy crab, shrimp, crawfish, cucumber topped with crab). Holy yumminess Batman. I've since been back for takeout a few times and the Snow Crab and Avocado Salad has made my life. Try it when you're in the mood for something light yet filling and satisfying. Service here is somewhat slow every time I've been here even for takeout...otherwise this would've been a perfect rating.

a hand holding a piece of food

My coworker & I ordered lunch from here because we both decided it was a good place. I ordered the hibachi steak & salmon. I bit into my steak & it was cold... cause it was raw. Tragic.

This establishment is consistently good. The service is excellent as is the sushi. The hibatchi is also very good. Prices are reasonable, but this isn't cheap cuisine. I highly recommend.

a plate of shrimp and rice

I originally wanted the Shrimp Avocado but was told to order Hibachi in order for us to sit at the table. First of all the plate that i was served on had a baby roach in the plate that i removed without fussing or causing a scene. My boyfriend was able to order his shrimp fried rice from the kitchen and for a way bigger plate size than me plus was way cheaper. Im just very disappointed and feel like i've been robbed. The chief did amazing though was amazing customer service.

Great service, you can tell whoever made the sushi put in some serious effort. Had a few drinks that were all well made.

Great food. The people that work there are very nice and funny. You don't only get to eat but get a good laugh and enjoy everything.

The 911 and Pink Cadillac rolls are the best. I ordered them on Waitr and got $5 off using code Local5!

Really cannot say enough good things about this place!…read more We have been here two times now and I highly recommend! There is a set price for the all you can eat, and if you want the all you can drink that is an additional set price charge. The food is outstanding and comes out very quickly! You can get everything from beef to sushi. The selection is really great for a large group and also a great date night. We have only sat in the bar area, and the service has been outstanding both times. Our waitress was Sydney and she goes above and beyond. She also had quite a few great recommendations. Great place to stop in and have dinner !

"The Waitress Went Rogue"…read more We decided to try Bushido Sushi & Korean BBQ for lunch today, and honestly... I don't even know where to begin. Let me start with the positives: the outside of the restaurant looks awesome. It has that "this place is probably gonna be amazing" vibe that makes you excited to pull in. Unfortunately, once you walk inside, it feels like the decorating committee got into an argument and nobody won. There's bamboo on the walls, a samurai sword hanging completely out of its sheath while the sheath itself is hanging somewhere else like they're going through a divorce, random wall décor that may or may not have been Japanese writing, and then there's the TV. Dear Lord, the TV. I like big TVs as much as the next guy, but this thing was less "sports bar television" and more "government surveillance screen." It was massive. I'm 6 feet tall and I genuinely think this TV could've challenged me physically. And what was playing on this cinematic masterpiece? A random interview with a soccer player... with no captions... no sound anyone could understand... just two people talking while everyone awkwardly ignored it for an hour. The music also didn't fit the atmosphere at all, but honestly by that point maybe the chaos was the theme. Now for the food and service. When we walked in, there was nobody at the front desk and not even a "please wait to be seated" sign. We stood there so long I literally went to the restroom and came back before anyone appeared. My wife ordered the LSU Roll, or at least she THOUGHT she did. Apparently the LSU Roll is only available for all-you-can-eat customers, but instead of simply telling us that, the waitress went completely rogue and secretly substituted a UL Roll without saying a word. We only discovered this after the food arrived and we checked the menu ourselves wondering why it looked different. My wife said the roll tasted like sushi you'd find in the refrigerated section of a grocery store around 8:47 PM on a Tuesday. Our son ordered the Bushido Roll, Pink Cadillac Roll, and Hawaiian Roll. He liked the first two, but said the Hawaiian Roll was tough and had the same grocery-store-quality taste. Then came my sashimi experience... which honestly deserves its own documentary. The menu says "1 piece per order," which makes absolutely no sense, so I asked the waitress. She told me they could bring out 20 or 30 pieces at a time and just asked that we not waste food. Great. Sounds reasonable. So I ordered white tuna, salmon, and red snapper. What arrived looked less like sashimi and more like somebody lost a fight with a vegetable peeler. I have NEVER seen sashimi sliced this thin or this tiny anywhere in my life. I understand smaller portions for all-you-can-eat, but this crossed over from "small portions" into "performance art." The photos honestly speak for themselves. To make matters worse, they served it on a plate where you literally couldn't pour soy sauce without creating a tabletop flood. I asked for a sauce dish, waited forever, and finally just used another plate sitting on the table because apparently that was faster than customer service. And the grand finale? When our son's final sushi roll arrived, the waiter placed the brand-new plate DIRECTLY on top of the dirty empty plate already sitting in front of him. Not beside it. Not after removing it. Directly on top of it like a game of restaurant Jenga. I have eaten at sushi restaurants all over the place and have never seen anything like that. Overall, the experience was frustrating because this place has potential. But between the confusing menu, inattentive service, weird atmosphere, tiny sashimi portions, and grocery-store-quality sushi, this ended up being one of the strangest dining experiences we've had in a long time. We won't be back, and unfortunately I can't recommend it.
