Great Ramen! I haven't been to many ramen restaurants in the past but we're glad we found this little gem of a place while we were in town. Service was great with all her recommendations. All on point.

Our take out order was ready upon arrival. I loved the presentation of the ramen! The noodles were separated from the piping hot broth, so that the noodles aren't soggy. The containers they came in had the restaurant's name emblazoned on the side. Nice marketing! On to the food! The spicy miso ramen wasn't spicy at all and we didn't care for the flavor either. However, the shoyu ramen hit the spot. The gyoza was standard but the spicy tuna roll was terrible. The texture of the minced tuna wasn't appealing and the flavor wasn't great either. Not spicy at all. There was also too much rice. This isn't a sushi restaurant, so I wasn't expecting much in regards to the spicy tuna roll. However, if you're thinking about it, get your sushi fix elsewhere. I'd come back to try out other things on the menu - just not their sushi.

The food was wonderful, my tea was hot. Our waiter was very sweet and patient with us. It has a very calm peaceful look to it, wonderful for lunch. I prefer the aesthetic at night.

2nd Ramen Spot we've tried. Trynna find a place that reminds us of home. I don't think that will ever happen unless we cook it ourselves. Nevertheless, the Bowls my Daughter & I had were both flavorful. The dashi for my Seafood Ramen was hot and the bowl was loaded w/flavor! The pan-fried gyoza was on point 4sure! My Daughter said her katsu was more like a tempura batter rather than crunchy w/panko flakes. Maybe it was the sauce, maybe??? Not sure but She said it was Gr8 to Her and Her sub-fried rice was really good! Glad my Family enjoyed this place & our take out. My Daughter said even the Lady that helped Her was Very Sweet & Kind! My Grandbaby said, Mom gave Her a tip... even if it's takeout & we get Gr8 service, we tip! That's just our Upbringin'... we will be back! Mahalo!

I ordered online via their website. The process was easy; however, the restaurant does not update the app to let you know that they have finished your order. I was sitting my car for quite some time before I decided to go in and check and found out my food had been ready for a while. I ordered the Buddha Roll ($6.99) and Vegetable Ramen ($9.95). The Buddha roll was really good and filling. The yams were cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too mushy. Grade = A I requested a spicy vegetable ramen and they honored my request. The level of heat was nice. The variety of vegetables were great. The broth had carrots and cabbage, while the bowl had corn, scallions, noodles and some other things I can't name. Grade = A The portions and prices were acceptable. I enjoyed the flavor and would eat here again.

What a wonderful, quant and genuine restaurant. Food was yummy and price was comparable. They have a lunch menu and we'll worth the drive.

The food was really good and the servers took care of everyone in a timely manner! They even have anime on the tv!!

Matcha Milk Tea

We came for a late lunch, and was immediately greeted and seated at a table in a cozy atmosphere. We got our drinks, the matcha milk tea with boba was very good. The service was very attentive. The appetizers missed the mark, fried calamari was not seasoned, the mini taco were a bit to salty, if the creamy croquettes had more crab it would have been a hit, the black garlic ramen had a deep flavor but this to was salty, the tonkotsu was good, but the seared salmon roll stole the show, very flavorful. This is a nice place to get a lunch, but once the seasonings become consistent this will be a definite go to.

This place on the level playing field of just ok. I had the Galic broth and pan fried dumplings. Like I said ok. The price for lunch was a little of $17 so great price and I got full. Just don't go looking for a flavor explosion just not there. Good taste at a reasonable price.

Fried Chicken Bowl

Loved it! Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. We didn't have to wait long to be taken care of even after we ordered and added to our order later on. It was very comfortable on the inside and the staff was so polite it made us happy to be there. The chefs and wait staff know how to take care of people!

Menu - appetizers

Went to Katsu for the first time tonight and it was amazing! The vibes were great and they played Naruto on the tv at the bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Yakitori as an appetizer. It was good w a yummy, sweet, teriyaki-like sauce. I got the Shoyu udon w shrimp tempura for my meal. It was heavenly. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the broth was delicious, and the shrimp were perfectly crispy. My only complaint was that the soup was a teensy bit on the salty side, so if you're sensitive to salt you should probably stay away from the shoyu. Other than that, 10/10 would recommend!

Easily one of the best Japanese restaurants my wife and I have ever been to. The service was amazing and everything was very fresh.

The ramen was under cooked and just didn't taste good, but the atmosphere and customer service was good. Just not good food.

This is, without a doubt, Lake Charles' best kept secret. Nestled in a quiet strip mall, the food…read moreand customer service packs a punch that is anything but quiet. We opted for a Pork Ramen bowl and a Poke Bowl. The ramen broth had flavor depth as if it had been simmering for a millennia! The charred pork added a meaty touch. Would 10/10 recommend. The Poke Bowl was a steal at under $15. The chunks of spicy tuna were big and plentiful. Each and every bite was more delicious than the last. The restaurant itself is incredibly clean and the staff is attentive and quick with the service. The prices are awesome, just like the food! Please do yourself a favor and eat here.

There are not a lot of Asian options in the LC area but when I do come across one, I'll usually…read moregive it a try. This is only a few minutes away from the casinos and conveniently located in a plaza with multiple retail stores that I like to shop at so it was a no-brainer to stop here for lunch. I won't hold it to the same standard as Japan's or even NYC's ramen restaurants but generally speaking, the taste here is alright. The broth is standard, but the marinated egg was just slightly on the saltier side (I typically make mine with sweet or low sodium soy sauce - they also sell sodium-adjusted soy sauces for soup and marinade purposes in many Asian supermarkets as well as online). The chashu pork, in contrast, was underseasoned... which was disappointing as it's considerably the best ramen protein for many. I didn't expect much from the vegetable spring rolls since I already knew they were frozen and they turned out just as expected, only smaller. The presentation was 10/10; the taste, not so much. Aside from the underwhelming flavors, we did receive commendable customer service from this girl who was the only one serving the whole restaurant. She appears to be American-born like us and despite being busy serving 5 other tables, she made sure to come back and check on us from time to time so she definitely deserves a mention from me. In terms of atmosphere, the restaurant is somewhat dark inside so we chose to sit by the window for some natural lighting. The booth seats (at least the one we were in) have seen better days. The table was quickly wiped down with a damp rag as we sat down, a successful attempt at relocating any food crumbs left behind by the previous customers from table to floor. It wasn't until right before leaving that I saw more of the restaurant. I got up to use the restroom and discovered that the short path to the back felt like an eternity with my shoes squeaking with every step I took on the sticky floor. The restroom was also borderline unkept. After washing my hands, I darted out of there like I do from the public bathrooms back home in NYC. I do sympathize as the girl seems to be the only one working and she can't possibly keep up with it all but I saw that there were other employees on the side as well so I'm not sure if it's truly a staffing issue or just lack of proper management. It's become very apparent to me why most of their orders are delivery or pickup. In conclusion, KoKo is not a bad choice if you're stuck in the plaza and feeling really hungry, but if you have a car and don't mind holding out another 10 minutes, there are probably better options down the road. Food 6/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere/cleanliness 5/10
