I went here on a Sunday for lunch. The restaurant had just opened so the parking lot wasn't packed at all. Upon walking in I was greeted by the waitress. Ordering: This place is designed to order and pay for your food at the counter and then find a seat. I was confused on ordering because the menu wasn't really user friendly. I wasn't sure if I could order a combo or if everything had to purchased separately. The waitress/cashier was very helpful and explained the menu and option to me. Food: I waited about 7-10 mins for the food but it was hot and fresh. The taste was spicy but totally my fault. Otherwise they were perfect. Restroom: The restroom Ms are outside but they are air conditioned. Overall: I went early on a Saturday and it was almost empty. This place can get very crowded and loud. Super delicious and well-sauced wings, fries and chicken cracklin', this late-night spot scratches the itch when you're hangry and just need something to fill your belly. We dined in on a Friday night and although the place was a little shabby and under-staffed, the wings were dripping with flavor and heat. The wing flavors we ordered were Sum Nasty, Buffalo, KK and TLC--all were delicious but we enjoyed the last two the most! That said, although the food was hot and delicious, there was a 30 min wait time in an otherwise empty restaurant. I also have to mention that the place could use a little tune-up--even with all the dim lighting, it's easy to see that there was not much cleaning or renovations done to make this establishment look presentable. It's clear that KOK's building used to be a German beer hall and not much restoration has been done to gut out the place and make it more appealing to diners. I also think that the wing sauces should feature a description of all the unique flavor variations so that customers understand what they are ordering. With all that in mind, I would still order takeout from this place because the wings are solid and the portion sizes are huge. I've been a long-time fan of the food here, but after my experience with a manager named Kim, I won't be back until management addresses the absolute toxic environment she's creating. ​I witnessed Kim being extremely disrespectful from the moment I walked in. She spent the entire night loudly berating her staff in the middle of the dining room. I watched her call a young server "useless" and "incompetent" right in front of a line of paying customers. It was heartbreaking to see the staff looking so defeated while just trying to do their jobs. ​When I finally got her attention to ask for a simple side of ranch, she rolled her eyes and told me to "wait my turn like everyone else." As soon as I turned around, she started mockingly imitating my voice to another employee. The "trash-talking" didn't stop there--she was caught multiple times calling customers "cheap" and "trashy" loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. ​The most alarming part? Kim was clearly drinking on the job. I saw her pouring shots into a soda cup behind the bar and sipping on it all night. By the time I left, her speech was slurred and she was becoming increasingly aggressive and hostile toward everyone in the building. ​It's a shame because the wings are great, but no meal is worth supporting a business that allows a manager to bully employees and drink on the clock. Let me first say that my daughter and her husband really love this place. Let me also say that my husband really enjoyed his wings. I also want to be sure to say that the young ladies who helped us were very nice. Now that those things have been stated, the place itself needs to not only be redone, and by redone I mean at least patch up the holes in the ceiling. I'm pretty sure I saw a lizard trying to crawl down out of one of them. It desperately needs to be cleaned. My shoes were sticking to the floor as we walked, I put my arm on the half wall thing near the register where you order and my arm stuck to it. We go outside to eat and all the tables have food and crumbs on them. It's just simply not clean. At least make it presentable. I will say the outside with the games and stuff provided is cute and enjoyable. As for my food, my fries were great, but my boneless wings were cold and old, the buffalo sauce tastes like salty vinegar. I visited the KOK booth at the Acadiana Eats Festival. There were a number of restaurants participating in this particular Festival. So in all honesty I don't think you could really go wrong. Our waitress, who was also the bartender was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and even offered to let us sample some of the sauces and even the KoK Half and Half (lemonade/punch) which was really good. She asked for any preferences we had and was happy to recommend our meals based on those preferences. I was not disappointed in the slightest. Being the indecisive guy that I am, I could not make a decision on what I wanted to drink. I told her I wanted something a little fruity with a kick and she suggested the Hennerita. Either strawberry or mango. Of course I couldn't decide so I asked her to put a little of both. It was on point!!! Incredibly flavorful with a kick but not too sweet. However, she was incredibly sweet and accommodating. I left that place a very happy man! I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Was difficult for her to get in to the back outdoor seating where we were directed, she has a broken ankle and leg and is on a knee scooter. The parking lot is also all gravel. Definitely not easy if you are handicap to get in and out of the building or parking lot. The staff other than the assistant manager and our waitress pretty much ignored us when we talked to them. Attentive staff and clean atmosphere! I'm gonna be honest, the breaded wings are cooked very well. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. However, the sauces don't distinguish themselves from something you can buy at the store. The dry rubs didn't have the intense flavor I was looking for, and was more salt flavored. The Hot Tang sauce I tried was oily rather than glaze-like, so it kinda just slipped off the wing's crust. Again, the flavor was inauthentic and I couldn't really taste the "tang."
