We found this cute little place on yelp, while driving from Texas on I10. It's a few miles into the city but well worth the drive. The atmosphere was great, there are many thank you cards, notes and letters on the walls for their contributions and community support. I think that is great. One of the owners Michelle took our order. She was very nice and offered suggestions. The service was great the food was excellent. My husband and I got the small rolls and it was just enough. Just what we needed while traveling. My hubby had the cold rolled basil cashew chicken which is #30 on their menu, fresh basil chicken, cashews, spicy Thai sauce, leaf lettuce, plum tomatoes and avocado. He gave it a 4 1/2, he said it was very good. He would definitely stop again. It was quiet and clean. I had the hot rolled turkey apple jack #39 on their menu, which is turkey breast, jack cheese, apple butter,bacon, mushrooms, onion, fresh basil Mayo, and with a side of spicy mustard. Used to love this place. They had great chicken noodle soup. Well it's been a long time since I ate there but ordered the soup to go yesterday. I was extremely disappointed. Container leaked in my car. Plenty of crackers but when I got to my office I realized there was no spoon. Dug up a spoon in the office and soup was barely lukewarm and tasted terrible. This place is just great. Fantastic lunch eatery with a variety of delicious wraps. They offer warm or cold options. My favorite are the Hickory Chicken (Warm) and the Chicken Basal Cashew (Cold). They always have the crispest fountain drinks and side options include chips, pasta salad, or salad. The cookies are dynamite as well. Go check them out. I've been eating here since a friend first told me about the place in 2020! It's pretty close to UL and the food is great. I've mostly gotten the hot wraps- I'm lactose intolerant and am able to customize ingredients. My favorites are the Cordon Bleu and the Key West Cuban! The potato salad (side) is normally a little tangy but it still tastes great. They also have a stamp program. They are so friendly here. It's very small but someone is always checking on you with a smile on their face. People flow in and out pretty quickly so it's usually not too bad to get a table. I was driving through town looking for something delicious before heading back to TX. My husband suggested another place but it was closed. It wasn't going to be open until after 11am. We also wanted something light. Roly Poly was rated pretty high and looked small enough to go in and leave quickly. My friend and I loved the decor as soon as we walked in. It's not overly done with Mardi Gras decor and definitely not cheesy. We were greeted right as we walked in and felt like we were some long time friends. I liked that there were hot and cold sandwiches as well as salads. As soon as we decided on something, a gentleman took over and took our orders. He then told us to go relax and our food would be ready shortly. There were three different ice tea flavors and regular sodas available as well as some drinks in a refrigerator. We sat down and waited. We listened to customers' exchanges with the employees and knew that they had several repetitive customers by the way they were greeted and what they said. They were also told to relax and enjoy themselves at the table and their food would be ready shortly. It gave us the same feeling and being a visitor at someone's house and being treated like family. We got our food and it was got. I ordered a pesto chicken hot sandwich. I can't remember what my friend ordered but she loved hers. I could actually taste the pesto in the sandwich unlike several hot pesto sandwiches I've had in other places where the taste is lost. Though it was a 12 in sandwich, it wasn't that big. They're on the smaller size in diameter so if you are used to feeling completely full, you may want two. 12 inches was enough to feel good and continue driving home. My only disappointment really was that there was an advertisement outside for coffee but there wasn't any available. The interior is nice and comfortable though and I'd definitely go back for the food and how welcoming the employees are. They have notes all over the walls with thanks from businesses and customers. As a New Yorker in a suit and tie, I was clearly pretty out of place, which is why I can't mention enough that what others have said about the owner being very friendly is absolutely true. I was able to order quick, and the owner gave me a free container of granola for being so far from home. As for the food, I had the black & blue wrap, a roast beef and blue cheese wrap. It came out quick and was a no-frills tasty lunch. I also had the potato salad, which had just enough seasoning to be unique, and not just bland deli potato salad. Today was my first time at Roly Poly. When I walked in, I immediately felt that the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. When I made contact with the employees, they gave the place more of a family feel. I thought the owner was an employee until he greeted me and introduced himself. He worked alongside his employees with a smile. He was very helpful and carries such a polite spirit, and I don't mean that it was just because he was greeting a customer. I could feel that he was genuine! The food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back often! Let's just say I was not at all disappointed at all. I've been a fan for a long time, and it's the consistency of both quality and customer service that keeps me coming back. I followed the recommendation of the friendly woman at the register and ordered the turkey applejack. Filled my cup with raspberry tea while I waited a few minutes for my order to come out. Best flavored tea I've had in a very long time! I noticed the owner greeting every customer, making sure they enjoyed their meal and handing out cookies along with holiday cheer. When my sandwich came out a short time later, it looked delicious! The tortilla was grilled to a golden brown, both crispy and tender. The basil mayo was a very nice touch, complementing the sweet apple butter and onions. As if the fantastic sandwiches weren't good enough on their own, the wonderful and attentive customer service was the icing on the cake.
