O-rings & fries have been very good recently. Options lists for burgers are way too long, can be confusing. Prices are approaching top of "tolerable" range, even for us. Plenty parking, no shade. Men's room has peculiar stainless lavatory/washbasin, which splashes all over, so don't stand too close. We dine here a couple times a month. We ordered 2 burgers, fried green beans and fried okra. All the food was great as usual. We usually order in the restaurant and eat in. This time we ordered online for take out. The website said 30 minutes. No big deal figured they must have been busy with LSU first pitch happening soon. I arrived maybe 5 minutes before the food was scheduled to be ready. The place was empty. The food was warm and but not hot. I think the burgers might have set about 10-15 minutes before I picked them up. I believe the to-go timing might need to be adjusted. Next time I order To-go, I will get there about 10-15 minutes early and wait if needed. Otherwise staff was friendly as usual and the restaurant was clean with the game playing in the TV. read more

I placed an online order and received email confirmation. When I arrived I was told there was no order for me, the order did not come through, etc. I showed my email confirmation. The person (I think Panda) who waited on me was very nice, told me they would rush the order through. When it was ready she comped me because she did verify that my order had been placed. Very nice person. Strike 2 was getting home and discovering that my turkey burger was actually beef. Strike 3 was the amount of red pepper on the fries- I like hot but this was off the chain. Probably the worst burgersmith in the country. Every time you order online it takes over 30 minutes just to confirm order. Once you get there it's the same story every time, we are having trouble with machine we can start on your order now, despite having 3 people in whole store. We love a good burger so tried this place on a whim. We got there a bit early on a Saturday night and were promptly greeted and seated. Waitress was friendly and made some requested recommendations but was not so pushy as to feel like we had to order what she recommended. She provided good service the whole time. Husband got the brisket burger with cheese on a white bun. I got the organic grass fed (or whatever the menu called it) on a pretzel bun. Both cooked medium. Split a large order of butter garlic fries. We were not disappointed. Next time we will probably let them cook the burgers med well (their default) because both of our bottom buns were a little too "wet" but the meat had good flavor and toppings were top notch. And those fries!!! I'm planning a day when I can just get fries and ice cream! Things we liked: family friendly (bar available but did not have to sit near it), casual atmosphere, nice selection but not huge menu, burger could be salt and pepper or "Louisiana style" with what I assume would be cayenne. Those fries!!! Things we would do differently: Plastic over Paper straws. Lighten up on the condiments and/or drain the meat a bit. Not sure why the bottom buns were so "wet". A tad more salt and pepper on the meat. Overall we were happy to find a nice burger and fry place with some variety and not too far from home. read more

Food is very subpar. My food always seems to come to the table cold and normally when i inform the manager about this they just microwave the food. You can't microwave fries it makes them soggy and gross. Then at that point the microwaved burger gets very over cooked and isn't the way i originally ordered it. One of the best burgers I've ever had. I got the fillet burger, my hubby the brisket burger and we loved both! Great flavor and you can tell a lot of attention has been paid to the craftsmanship. Let me start by telling you I had less than a perfect experience. My burger was absolutely cooked to perfection. The fries on the other hand where cold. I finished the burger and my server asked how everything was and I answered honestly, my expectations being another 3 star review. I wouldn't stay and eat hot fries with burger gone. Almost immediately the manager came to me with a sincere apology and did all in his power to right the ship. The true concern he showed to salvage a guest was impressive. Any business that cares that much about the guest experience striving to make the experience right gets my vote. I didn't complain loud never asked for anything and the team here made me want to come back to support the business. Well, I have to breakdown the rating: Food was a 5. Although the fries had a whopping amount of salt. I did not stop eating the fries till they were gone. Butter and garlic fries, a must. Bun on the burger was outstanding and is in competition with another elite burger eatery. We just had the regular hamburger. Magnific! Now a 3 overall was contemplated due to 20 min pickup time was told to us. Not bad right but I waited an additional 20 minutes so it was 40 minutes total. Although it was worth the wait I, as a customer expect some communication to prepare and would have understood. When I arrived there were 5 people waiting ahead of me which was not a good sign. The fella behind the bar gave off a pleasant aura so it was hard to be upset. Still communicate more to the customer. Be happy! read more

I've had the Smithburger medium with lettuce and tomato three times now and each time it's been moist, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I believe it's a bargain compared to "fat" premium burgers at other restaurants. Onion rings, chili, and happy hour old fashioned are also first rate. First time being here. Looked like a pretty cool place to be and was super excited ! It's a Friday night and they aren't too busy but a good bit of families in here. But no one was at the door to great us and we had to seat ourselves but decided to go to the bar where another server was talking with the bartender. She asked us can she help us and we said we would like to order Togo and she said the bartender will be right with us. Bartender( Courtney ) .. NEEDS to learn to have a personality ! Seems rude. Doesn't talk or interact with the customer. Maybe put a smile on your face. When you have good service , you will come back to a restaurant regardless of the food. Just had lunch with my son, we were in a hurry so I ordered for him before he got there at 12:05. At 12:45 I flagged down the waitress to put his in a togo box because he had to get back to work for 1:00. Se brought his and he left. 5 minutes later served me my burger and his fries. She did not have his fries in his togo box and did not say anything. Last is they charged me $2.75 fir a refill that I did not ask for. She said the kitchen was behind but there was only 20-25 people in the restaurant. Food was good though. read more

I ordered a hamburger from the one in Broussard tonight. It took about 18 minutes for them to complete my order but that is not what upset me. I went into the restaurant to pick up my order and waited there for over seven minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Three or four employees walked right by and looked at me and never even said a word. I looked down the hallway and they were all gathered around the door to where I can only guess was the managers office. I know times are different right now but you should at least acknowledge a customer when they come in the door. Even just to say I'll be right with you is better than saying nothing at all.
