Probably the least desirable Five Guys that I have been to. The staff was friendly, the food was ok. There was only one other group of people in there, all had their food already. From order until my number being called took over 10 minutes. I hate to see the service during lunch rush. The burger was put together pretty sloppy and the patties were a little over cooked. Wasn't the worst burger I've had but it could have been better. Still being better than any other fast food competition, I'd be willing to come back and give it another try. read more

As always, love this place! I had never visited this particular location so was pleased that they have the same superb customer service as other locations. Little bit of a wait, but no biggie. It was a Weds night, just after church, so the place was pretty messy. I had to clean off our table before we could sit. Eh, they must've had a rush. I ordered online because I had some errands to run first and didn't want to take up too much of my lunch hour just waiting in line for food. My online order said it would be ready for 12:06, I arrived shortly after that. My food was given to me at 12:30. After seeing the worker give out several orders he asked me which was mine. I said a Web order. At that time he handed me my order. I asked "it was ready this whole time?" He then replied "yes". Two problems with that...I ordered bunless which meant my lettuce was soggy by the time I was given my food. And also my burger patty and toppings were cold. I've been to Five Guys plenty, but this was my first experience at this location. As I have said in a previous review, FG is a great place when you have a burger craving. Good beef, fresh toppings, perfectly crisped bacon, and legit fries. Will this be the BEST burger ever? Naw. But hands down one of the best you'll find in a chain restaurant concept. What made this location special for me? I'll tell ya... I found myself in the unfortunate position of being one of those inconsiderate jerks who shows up 20 mins before closing. Yep. I totally did. I felt even worse that there was a line and even more people coming in after me. I know these guys want to wrap up and get home. However... The entire staff was incredibly smiley and friendly, despite the last minute rush of patrons. Everyone was content and helpful. For example, the MOMENT my friend tried to pump some ketchup and nothing came out, a gentlemen rushed over to refill it, without needed to be waved or flagged down. He was on it like a boss. At no point did I feel encouraged to hurry up and get out. In fact, one staff member came to our table to chat us up. This kind of service is rare these days, and I hope this group never loses its charm. read more

This is our favorite place to stop on the way between Houston and New Orleans. The burgers are always perfect and your choices are unlimited! I would like to write a comment regarding a recent visit to the 5 Guys location on Ambassader Caffery Parkway in Lafayette. I have heard many good things and wanted to check it out. I Ordered the food for the 5 person family and when completed was called to get the order. I understand the store process of fries in the bag however with current Covid-19 conditions how cautious is it dumping hands full of fries in the bag on top of the wrapped burgers then setting a cup of fries on top. Also I requested ketchup for a 5 person order and when I put my hand out 2 cups of ketchup were thrown in the bag. I stated we have 5 people and the person mumbled I will give you one more and with my hand out he threw it in the bag. In these times of concern and being sanitary with covid-19 should we really be throwing things into a paper bag like this. Very disappointed with my 5 Guys visit. Came here for late lunch ( almost to 4pm) no one is inside . I ordered little burger w Cajun fries . It was good . Homemade patty and French fries . I can actually taste the meat ! Quick service , clean inside . It was the best burger so far beside my own homemade burger . Will come back again . Next time , I will order double patties . read more

I have eaten at 5 Guys at least once a month since their grand opening in Lafayette. Love, love, love the burgers! Today a 4 burger, 3 fry order was made and noticed at home when eating 2 of the 4 burgers had no mushrooms, whatsoever. The mushrooms being the juicy/savory ingredient that sets these hamburgers apart from the competition and keeps me coming back, for me, are part of signature of these burgers. When I contacted the manager and gave him the data I was not left with him being interested in the quality control issue and made no mention of the impact to us. read more

The burgers are juicy and great. The fries are not my favorite, but what they lack in texture and taste they make up for in quantity. The orders come out pretty fast and they keep it very clean. There is always someone wiping down tables and removing trash. read more

Five guys is a great place for burgers, dogs and fries. My first time was years ago in Orlando and since that time I have eaten at ones in Atlanta, Las Vegas and my home town of Lafayette. They make a very good burger at a fair price and be careful when you order the fries. A large will feed a family of 4 so don't order a large for one person unless you plan on saving them for your next meal. The complimentary peanuts are a nice snack while waiting for your food and the CocaCola machines with a million combinations are a big hit too. Not many complaints here other than a lack of entertainment but this is a no frills burger joint and it lives up to the hype. Lastly, if your visiting the Louisiana locations don't even think of ordering the fries any way but Cajun! read more

Would give 6 stars if I could. Had a Waitr order that was taking a long time. Called the restaurant, and the manager explained that the servers had overloaded and it shut everything down. It was right before closing, but they were so professional explaining what was going on. I called a second time at 10:02, and they were able to let me know that the servers were back up and a driver was on the way to get my food. I also have celiac disease, and as long as I mention that I have a dietary restriction, I've never had a problem getting cross-contaminated with gluten. My burger patty was still PINK, I hardly had any lettuce, the bread was cold and soggy, the fries were barely seasoned, and no one that worked there seemed to give a f***. I will never eat a burger again. I am so sick and it's the only thing I have eaten today. I felt terrible within 15 minutes of my first bite and I didn't even finish the burger. The burgers weren't terrible, but I could have gotten the same quality at McDonald's for two dollars. The fries claim to have Cajun seasoning--these people clearly have no clue what Cajun flavor is. Baton Rouge food is not Cajun. In short, I can't say the food was bad, but I was seriously unimpressed. I've paid less money and waited shorter order tones and had better food.
