Love the food! Service is fast and convenient! Customer service is great and respectful!

It's a 6/10 has potential but average, flakey, no flavor, the food needs more attention! Customer service wasn't bad I didn't have a complaint. read more

Terrible experience. With Ashley at the drive thru window, making faces and smirking in the background

Nice quick dinner, and I decided to finally try I'll start with he chips with the salsa, which was excellent just wish portion was bigger, the guacamole was one of the better I've had. The chicken was great, I was unaware of the grill inside, and the visual aspect of knowing we're getting it fresh from the grill is a nice touch. I ordered from online and it was easy and resulted in a quick pickup. read more

Visited during their first week open. This place is full of nostalgia from my home state of California. Love the photographs along the wall, bummed my friend and I didn't remember to take advantage of the photo opp. On the date we visited, they had an artist adding much needed artistry on the windows that made it look and feel even more like all those El Pollo Locos I've been to back home. I personally was really excited to know that they have added shrimp as pretty much a replacement option for all the chicken entrees. I ordered the shrimp tostada salad. Omg. I forgot how much I missed their cilantro dressing, YUM! My friend remembered everything, even remembered to grab an order of their yummy churros. A great way to end your meal! The staff was very accommodating even with the influx of customers. If you're in the mood for chargrilled chicken (or shrimp) make sure you stop by. read more

The chicken tostado salad is my go to. Have not had a single issue and go 2-3 times a week for over 3 months. Highly recommend

Used a coupon for one of the meal deals. Charro beans were good but mostly liquid. Grilled chick was ok but small. Not a bad value but bland read more

Alright my opinion here... I may be crazy... But I'm not chicken to say it! This might be the best fast food chicken on the market. Hot and fresh off the grill... It's delicious. And with a readily available coupon... It's a great deal. Yummy - fresh - feels healthier - great options for sides Our fave: Family meal with 8 piece Double down on the side salad w/ cilantro dressing Churros and Horchata! I almost always go to El Pollo Loco for really, really good food fast. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Also, if you decide to dine-in, the restaurant is clean and the lighting is relaxing. I recommend the double chicken bowl. That's what I order most all of the time. Cheers! read more

Good, fresh food, great value! Consistent quality and customer service! My go-to is simply the Pollo Bowl, sometimes with added avocado and always with the creamy cilantro dressing! read more

Tried several menu items, several side items. Everything seemed to be lacking in flavor, super high in sodium EXCEPT the chicken! The chicken was absolutely amazing. 5/5 on the chicken for sure, enough to give a 4 star review when everything else I tried was mediocre at best. The service was fast, friendly, and the price was okay. I'd come back but strictly for their chicken! read more

El Pollo Loco - Chicken with rice and beans - Fast Food Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

This tickled that nostalgic nerve. I have been dining at El Pollo Loco, since I was probably my daughter's age. Finally, there is one in Louisiana. Sooooo close, yet a bit further for frequent visits. The chicken is grilled over an open flame, served up with either the creamiest mashed potatoes, whole kernel corn salad or beans. You can order a side of tortillas to blanket over some chicken for your own taco or mini burrito. The salsa bar is fabulous, too! My favorite is the spicy avocado sauce. It still tastes just like how I remember it. I love that they have modernized the look of the restaurant, but still have the ope grills, where they cook all the chicken. This is definitely a healthier alternative to the fried chicken and don't worry... flavor is not compromised. Flavor is all there in the chicken and the salsas just help enhance it. Now, I am hoping one comes to Baton Rouge soon, so I can have it back in my life more frequently like I did, when living in California. Lafayette folks... you are lucky to have a fast, casual and delicious place like this one! read more

I am giving the big 5er to El Pollo Loco... and I don't give out 5ers very often... The delicious, slightly charred chicken was beyond delicious, the beans were good, and the large salsa bar was filled with at least a dozen choices of salsas, cilantro, and other things you would want to put on your chicken or your burrito. Also, the price of $8.95 (I think) for the 3-piece dinner is a very good value... You cannot go wrong with EPC... I will be back soon. read more

I heard good things about this place so I decided to try it out for the first time and it was just okay. To me, there is nothing really special about it to make it stick out but I did enjoy it overall. There are so many choices on the menu and the prices are reasonable. If you want Mexican food, this is the place to come for it other than taco bell. They did have a large salsa bar filled with several items to put on your chicken or burrito. One thing I did try was the queso and that was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh when I got it and had a good flavor to it. read more

Driving my boy back to UL and needed a quick bite, this was his suggestion. Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Open kitchen so you can see the fresh ingredients and the chicken being thrown on the grill. Very good! read more

We ordered two burritos and when we got home only had one. Terrible customer service. I feel like we were ripped off....

Finally something new it is a great healthier addition to Mexican food available in the area. The grilled chicken is juicy and delicious you can pick up on the citrus marinade. The sides are pretty good the rice and corn are my favorite. Most of the time I get extra tortillas. They have a few different types of salsa to choose from. You can get tacos or bowls also. read more

Hadn't been to a Pollo Loco in a couple of years so was kinda looking forward to it. Regret activated. It was honestly the worst. The tortillas, the beans, the rice. All extremely average. And for the love of Pete, how about you guys branch out and actually serve REAL homemade-like tortillas?!?! You can get them everywhere nowadays! No reason for the premade, mass manufactured ones that are only good for disc golf. Anyway...the Coke was good. But the chicken?! Ohhhh the chicken...can 100% say it was the absolute worst in all the land. And maybe the Quantum Realm too. IDK. You'll have to ask Ant Man. But on this plane of existence, it' was the worst chicken ever. And I've put a lot of things in my mouth over the last several decades. On the plus side, Christmas is right around the corner so I was able to fashion a really nice wallet for my wife made from the ultra dry chicken skin. Unlike my recent experience at El Pollo Loco, she's gonna love it! read more

I'm Mexican so my review might be a little stronger. Beans Rancheros- waters down. Tasteless. Tamales- tastes. Almost No chicken in them. Tacos al carbon are not al carbon. Small, dry and very expensive. Chicken is good but that's about it. read more

The employees at this location are some of the friendliest and most professional I've met at a fast food restaurant. The food is good and the employees make the experience very enjoyable. My wife and I love their chicken and can't wait to try their new wings. read more

Got the double chicken Avocado salad. It's was okay. For the price i think the veggies would be more fresh at a place like chipotle/Zues and chicken seasoned more. not a bad lunch stop but for 11$ I'll probably head to chipotle. Half of the soda machine was out, so only a few drink options. read more

Higher quality fast Mexican food at an affordable price! Skip the Taco Bell, Dell Taco, Taco Bueno, etc., if there is an El Pollo Loco around the corner you need to go there! While I was living in California from 0 to 31 years old, El Pollo Loco was one of my goto places along with In-N-Out! This was before social media was a big deal, prior to myspace, so it was a long time ago! Unfortunately, this El Pollo Loco is the only one in the Great State of Louisiana! This is very sad. There should definitely be more including NOLA and BR. The one in Lafayette looks nicer than any of the El Pollo Locos I remember going to in California, maybe because the company has rebranded, but none the less it looks extremely nice and clean inside. If I lived in Layeffe I would be a regular. The only beef (pun intended) I had was we received the corn tortillas instead of the flour tortillas that we ordered, so make sure you check your order! The manager was really cool and I hope El Pollo Loco expands in Louisiana, even more so than In-N-Out Burger which does not even have one restaurant in the state. No big deal. Go to El Pollo Loco, the chargrilled chicken accompanied with the salsa bar is way awesome! read more

I visit this location regularly and am glad there's a place like this in Lafayette. I've ordered the burrito, avacado salad, tostado salad, 2-piece chicken combos and other menu items since it opened. The food quality has not wavered, and I have not had any complaints on the service. I love that you can get relatively healthy food at a great price. I also love their salsas and sauces, which you can request at the pickup window or load down on at the bar inside. Don't pass this place up! read more

I'd say this place is definitely an upgrade from Taco Bell. I've only had their $5 combos but, they were worth it for sure. The nachos were well loaded and the chicken bowl was fresh. Hubby didn't care for the burrito very much. He said there was too much rice but, for $5 and a full belly, I have no complaints. read more

This is not at all what I would call fast food! I have been there twice and both times the food was AMAZING . I was able to get a two piece BAKED Chicken Dinner with fresh brocolli As my side. The brocolli was So fresh that I just ended Up getting two sides of Brocolli instead of choosing something else. Their mashed potatos with gravy are really good as well!! The best part about it was the service was amazing and the restaurant was extremely clean and I got a nice sized meal for around 6$. You can't do that hardly anywhere anymore and this was some really good food that fills you up!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING BACK again and again!!! Thank you for coming to Lafayette, LA read more

My husband and I decided to stop and try the food for the first time. We were on our way to a party so we just got something to snack on. When we first walked in the door we were immediately greeted with friendly smiling faces. Edgar took the time to explain the menu for us and was very patient. We ordered the chicken tamale and taco plate with chips and queso. The food was hot and delicious! We will definitely return to try more food. Definitely because a customer next to us had a huge delicious quesadilla that I wanted to snatch. read more

It's always a good sign when you can watch the food being cooked before your eyes, fresh=fabulous! I had the chicken tostada and the chicken was juicy, tender, and fresh, as it should be. Listen y'all. The food is amazing. I pretty much always get the nachos. LOVE the nachos. Spoiled on your nachos and can't get nachos from anywhere else. Ever. But when sitting inside, all I want to do is enjoy my nachos and borrow your wifi. I really don't need to be asked if "everything's good" 4 times in 20 minutes. Like come on! "No, I'm good, thanks!" "No, I'm good, thanks!" "No, I'm good, thanks!" "... I'm still good, thanks!" What could you possibly do for me anyways?? The salsa bar is always stocked and open. There are trash cans everywhere. Utensils and napkins are available for me to get myself. You even have an open fountain drink machine with tea, and next to it is every condiment possibly necessary! Stop sending your amazing employees out every 5 minutes to ask customers if they need anything, especially when it's not busy and there's no reason to gently push people out. I get it, customer connections. But we don't need to connect 10 times in one visit. Also, Chandler was extremely sweet and patient. Thanks a bunch! A++ read more
