The burgers are the size of a pool ball, they only put one small pickle on the burgers, and the upcharge for one tiny piece of bacon. Having said that, let's review what Smalls Sliders has in store for us. First off, there isn't an indoor dining area but there is a small outside area. So if the weather is good, then this is a nice place to stop by and grab a bite while getting some fresh air. If you're looking for a romantic evening or you're dressed in a suit, you might look elsewhere. There are two drive through lines similar to some fast food chains and they seem to function well. This is the second day of operations and with lines nearly a block down the road, the wait and flow was a bit hectic, but I won't hold that against them at this time. The food? The burgers were hot, fresh and tasty. These are steak burgers and of good quality meat. The fries were excellent too. They are waffle fries with a light seasoning that added flavor but wasn't "hot or spicy". The one bummer was that the window clerk handed me two drinks that were literally covered in soda on the sides and dripping the side and interior of my car. Come on, we can do better than this. Nobody wants to drive with hands covered in sticky soda because you don't know how to wipe off a cup before serving it. Overall, the experience was good but not perfect. The wait was about 45 minutes and two of the 3 burger meals was a tick over $24.00. The food was good but service lacked a bit. Hopefully a few weeks or training will improve speed and service quality. Lastly, although the sliders are smaller than some "regular" burgers at other chains, these are decent sized. I'd say the average person would be content with the 2 slider meal whereas light eaters and kids would be fine with a single slider meal. Hungry teens and and big eaters have the option of 3 or 4 sliders and personally, I'm not sure I could eat 4 in one sitting but I did gorge myself and get my 3 slider meal down. Went to Smalls on opening day. The wait was long, about an hour, but expected that. Ordered 2, 3 count sliders, 4 count sliders, and a side of queso. The waffle fries with the queso, were very good. The sliders were good, but I would have like my burgers cooked well done, as they were a bit pink in the middle. But overall good. So March 26th 2024 I ordered 2 single sliders and fries.. got home and realized that the quality was sub par! Half of a half cheese burger gone, with one small arse pickle on each. We love smalls we eat here at least once a month, this was the worst experience by far. Waited in line for over an hour and it was not opening day so service is a little slower considering how long the line was the day that I went. We ordered the 2 sliders meal and added 2 sliders on the side to share amongst 2 of us. I think the portion size is good, but I do feel like we weren't given a decent amount of waffle fries (which were tasty.) The sliders themselves were good. I'd recommend biggie smalls and adding bacon to the sliders for a little more food. Overall, not a bad experience taste-wise. Hopefully, service gets better with time. read more

Sliders were good but the service and policy's are horrible. Ordered a 4 piece And a side of queso Asked to add bacon to two of the sliders and was told no and they could not do that. And if I wanted bacon on only 2 than I needed to order a 2 piece and add two more. But that would have increased the cost by almost $10. That's pretty extreme for 1 slice of bacon cut in half. Then the Person was rude when I asked about it. So I ordered with out and the when I seen the queso all I can do is laugh. I swear you get like a teaspoon. This was my 1st and last visit to smalls in Lafayette, LA. Overall not worth the money or time. I know of a much better steakburger place that has better food and exemplary service. Order the #4 Combo..... 3 of the burgers were burnt, all 4 had approximately a tsp or less of the sauce, I can't even describe it because I couldn't taste it. The fries are just plain unseasoned batter fries that were also overcooked. I guess they'd be an okay way of eating the queso, but I don't care for queso. The soft drink was excellent! Service was horrible, partly do to a very small overhang at the pick-up window as it was raining and the young lady who provided my food and took my payment acted as if she would melt if she got wet. She handed me my drink and bag and as I went to place them down, she apparently was trying to hand me my straw but instead of getting a little wet she stated "I'm gonna toss it to you and slammed her window closed." As I was turning back to see what she was talking about I got hit with a straw on my cheek, no pain or anything, but she's lucky it didn't go in my eye. I ordered two 3 burger sliders and I get home I only have a 3 burger slider in one box and only 2 in the other.
