We usually love Jason's but that is when we eat inside. Today, I ordered through the drive through and I ordered a panini and a veggie wrap. The panini was delicious but the veggie wrap included mushrooms that were not fresh at all! They were brown and soft. The mushrooms had to be thrown away which Jason's should have done! I usually get a salad and if the mushrooms aren't fresh, I just don't put them on my salad. This was not an option at the drive through since I didn't know they would not be fresh. read more

We used to love going to Jason's as a family. It was always clean, dependable, quick, and budget friendly. Now the past few times we have been, we have waited 30 minutes or longer for food, the food hasn't been consistent (our food was cold and not well-made), and the place isn't clean. When make an order check the really good and ask questions because the manager special which states a half a sandwich is not always a half of sandwich. Depending on the sandwich. I dig Jason's so much that I had lunch there everyday but one last work week. So far, I've dined in once for the manager's special (half sandwich of your choice and a trip to the salad bar) and used the app to order and pay, then pick up at the drive thru with almost no waiting. Love that! Ok, so dining in was great thanks to the best salad bar I've encountered in Lafayette proper. It's got everything you can think of and more (bean salad, corn and peas, potato salad) and is kept immaculate. It's like the Disney World of salad bars. You drop one little sunflower seed and boom-there's an employee sweeping it up, wiping down the inevitable spills near the salad dressings and filling anything that needs filling. I enjoy all the sandwiches here. They over stuff the heck out of them and are all delicious. My favorite so far is the Rachel, but the Club Royale and Wild Salmon-wich are both very good too. I like that all the sandwiches come with your choice of baked or kettle chips and their pickles are always yummy and crisp. Download the app to save time if you're planning on getting your order to go, but dine in for that awesome salad bar at least once. How would you like a well put together "muffuletta " sandwich with cold meat...toasted bread, but meat right out of refrigerator. The floor & 1/2 the tables were dirty & needed attention. This place and the other location can't seem to get a Togo order EVER right. It's ALWAYS something. They forget to add jalapeños, they get confused with red onions and pickled onions, they overcook the sandwich so much that the bread destroys the top of your pallet, god forbid they actually add more than 2 tiny slices of avocado to your sandwich. This time my husband had a hair in his sandwich. It's a shame b/c the sandwiches are actually good besides all the mistakes constantly being made. Shouldn't the person bagging the food up, double check to make sure the cook added everything and got the order right, I guess that's to much to ask for these days. However they always want a tip. I like they have some salad bar and also subs. I ordered tomato soup and grilled cheese for To Go. They cut grilled cheese almost smashed like. The taste is ok and also it's tough to make grilled cheese bad. The tomato soup was too salty and nothing creamy. I couldn't even eat more than 3 spoons. They give you a free soft ice cream from salad bar. I didn't try it since it was cold outside anyway. A colleague told me about this place and that I had to try it, so me and my son tried it for lunch. I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The prices are astronomical for the tiny amount you get. The ruben combo didn't come with a drink but was like $12 and the staff forgot my kiddos chocolate milk. Jason's is really the king of sandwiches and soups when comparing them to other diners, deli's or restaurants. The food here is always fresh and they have a huge variety. There must be 30 or more "named" sandwiches, serval salad options, a dozen types of soup and then of course you can build your own sandwich to your exact liking. Some of my favorites are the rueben, the turkey, the Sante Fe chicken and I even love their grilled cheese. I also usually opt for the 1/2 a sandwich and a cup of soup so that I can enjoy at least two of their delicious menu items. The staff here is friendly and they keep the line moving and the tables clean. I try and stop here once a month at least but it's been a while since my last visit. Glad to be here today and I'll make my next visit soon. Enjoy! read more

As close to a New York deli as you're going to get in the South. I usually get the Reuben because that's my go-to sandwich and because it's delicious. I thought about getting the muffuletta but as soon as I saw the Reuben, I couldn't resist. You get lots of pastrami piled high on toasted rye bread with sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. Served with chips as in the traditional way. The customer service is also great as everyone is friendly and willing to help with any needs you may have. I got a managers special with a panini and the panini was literally an inch long! We paid $13 for that plus the soup. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be this small but when I called to complain the girl on the phone argued with me about it lol so unprofessional. The last time I was here was about a year ago. The place was dirty, food on the floor, etc. I decided to try again. Nope, just as bad. Food scattered near the salad bar. We sat at a table near a wall. The wall actually had handprints on it. No telling how long it has been since that wall was wiped down. Ice cream machine partially broken? Maybe it was just one of the flavors???? Food not regularly re-stocked on the salad bar. When I glanced behind the counter I saw food and trash on the floor. And this is where they prepare food???? This location is consistently getting worse. Used to order frequently but that has diminished over the last while as they can't seem to get to go orders correct. The food is very inconsistent. Decided to give them a try again & again they did not get the order correct despite in being ordered online. The ticket was correct but the food was not. Aggravating to say the least to order online-drive the 20 minutes & get home only to find order is wrong. Calling them to correct it was a hassle & got put on hold several times. Arriving at the location, the manager, Miya wanted to argue that the sandwich brought back was correct. In having her read the ticket a few times, she finally got it--the sandwich she was looking at was not what was on the ticket. The soup that was left at home was now cold & brought to her attention--no mention of getting a fresh hot soup to go with the now correct sandwich order--no refund --nothing. I don't typically write a review but I feel like this is an issue and needs to be worked on. My family and I went to eat Sunday afternoon and my daughter found two pieces of hair in her sandwich. The manager may need to rethink the policy on wearing hair nets. read more

Second strike. Terrible service again. I was told at the counter that my food would be brought to me. The other person in my party had their bowl of delivered to the table. We waited & waited for mine to come. Finally & went I asked for it. The server went to scoop it up & handed it to me , no apology. I asked why went wrong & she told me I was supposed to pick it up.
