The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere made it even better (We sat outside and I don't care to sit outside much when eating). Great eggs benedict. I enjoyed the chain locations in New Orleans and Lafayette. They should upgrade their coffee though. The decaf is not swiss water method. Very bitter. The caffeinated coffee is standard subpar coffee which is disappointed considering how much good coffee is available in Lafayette and NOLA. read more

We came in the day before Mardi Gras, had a bit of a wait, but we also called in before. Seated indoors to maybe a half full house. Their menu is online and they had so many yummy looking options. Started with a French press cold brew and ordered the skinny omelette, with potatoes. Drinks came out fast. And then we waited for our meals. And waited. And waited. For nearly 45 minutes we waited. Food finally came out. The omelet was delicious. Roasted garlic was a little overpowering since they used whole cloves. Potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. This is a chain, and there is one close to our home--so I'll definitely go back. I love that they have true gluten free items of even pancakes! read more

My cousin took us here for a nice brunch. We didn't have to wait too long for a seat even though it was pretty crowded. The place was very clean with a nice southern theme. We were seated near the back of the restaurant and our waitress was really nice. It was my Dad and I'd first time here, so we were offered free beignets and they even gave us a couple free mason jars after our meal. For my entree I had to get the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits also came with andouille sausage and bread. I really enjoyed my shrimp and grits, the grits were smooth and creamy and the sauce had a nice kick to it. Our beignets were fresh and powdery and I really loved the sweet marmalade that came with it. I've only really ever had beignets with chocolate or cream sauces, but the marmalade was sweet and gave the beignets another layer of flavor. We had a delicious brunch here. read more

Great experience at Another Broken Egg! We started with the tequila sunrise and lemon blueberry mimosa (but actually we ordered the blueberry margarita). The tequila sunrise was AMAZING and I received a great amount for the price. The mimosa was a little bitter and fizzy. I ordered my favorite, the Mardi Gras Omelette, and it was amazing as usual. Also ordered the Eggs Benedict which was also very good. The beignets were biscuit beignets so they were more dense than a regular beignet, and the pancakes were pretty good as well. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF I have EVER encountered! The general manager KRYSTAL JOURNIGAN should not be in the service industry, and her assistant manager GRACE MANUEL along with bartenders PAIGE BABINEAUX & TAYLOR WILSON follow her terrible lead. On Feb. 13th, 2024, I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe for breakfast. My server Emily Barel was great, and the meal was also fantastic. I left her a nice tip for her services. What transpired after this was 100% inexcusable! My friend, who dined with me, accidentally left his credit card at the restaurant. I went back to get it for him. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for someone to retrieve it, I was told to show a copy of his drivers license and for him to call to confirm my pick up due to security purposes (completely understandable, aside from the long wait). After showing this, I was then told, he would just have to come-in himself to get it. I asked the manager what the confusion was about, as I had now spent nearly an hour waiting for no-reason, and she proceeded to berate me in-front of all the clientele and ordered me to leave. She called me a "p@$sy" in-front of her clients, along with other choice words. I then had to call the police and came back with my friend to retrieve his credit card and filed a formal complaint on this establishment. Up until the point of this interaction, we had experienced a very pleasant dining experience. I really hope that nobody else experiences the humiliation that I had to go through. read more

Solid breakfast choice! Strong coffee, which we love, and do not often find. Since it was our first visit, we were given complimentary beignets. They were perfectly sweet and a welcomed gesture. Our son loved his kid's chocolate chip pancake breakfast, which I tasted and must agree. My partner and I shared the biscuits, which were plenty. They came with eggs, housemade sausage patties, and potatoes. The gravy was creamy and flavored with the right amount of seasonings. It was obvious the sausage was fresh and a house recipe. The Tito's Bloody Mary was great! The olives on top were not, and I love olives, so I just took them off. They have fall specials right now. I ordered the Fall Louisiana Benedict and it was amazing! It is cornbread topped with poached eggs, crawfish andouille sausage gravy, red pepper purée, hot sauce glazed crispy sweet potatoes and green onions. I feel like you would have to like hot sauce or a little spice just because of the hot sauce. I ate the whole plate! Try this fall special if you have the chance. read more

I expected them to be fluffier than that. I had the shrimp and grits over city grits. It was not good. You couldn't even taste the grits. It was like they just poured a red shrimp étouffée over diluted grits. Wayyyy too wet. I did not like the flavor or texture at all. My hubs had some kind of omelet and he didn't care for it, either. The food here is really good! I would give it 5 stars but there where a few issues. First time I went here I had the black stone eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was to die for, so rich and creamy. They should bottle that and sell it in grocery stores. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. The cooked tomato was cut too thin so it just turned to mush and didn't add any texture to the dish. The English muffin had turned to soggy bread because they wasn't a barrier between the muffin and all the other wet elements. On the first visit to this restaurant they give you a dish of these beautiful French pastries. They was amazing. Crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Sweet little balls served with a slightly sour orange marmalade. They were perfect and I need to learn how to make them! On the second visit to this restaurant I had the Apple fritter French toast. Soooo good! The crunch on the outside was perfect leaving the inside of the bread still soft because the bread was cut thick enough. This dish could very easily be over sweet but it wasn't. It's a testament to the chef that it was so balanced. The only complaints that I have was that the sliced apples in the middle and caramel sauce on the bottom were cold. I did not actually know this cafe is a chain or has multiple locations, but we went in for a small breakfast between my partner and me. We ordered a crab cake Benedict to share. The hollandaise sauce was great, and the potatoes are very crispy with a hint of chard. My partner keeps raving his coffee drink throughout the trip, and I ordered a regular tea.
