It should be mentioned that if you want to eat breakfast for lunch, they will accommodate you till 2PM! If you want a more traditional lunch, they have a daily Plate Lunch that pairs a hearty entree with rice and two sides. They also have a great selection of sandwiches ranging from a simple BLT to loaded Po-Boys. There's also a Crab Patty Burger for something delicious and different! But that's not all! There's soups, salads, and seafood! There's also a Short Order section of the menu. For the health conscious, there's a selection of grilled seafood served with grilled broccoli! Court House & VPSO HQ, fronting on Charity Street (Old LA HWY 14) in the business/banking/government center. This is in an extremely competitive restaurant neighborhood, with a number of excellent established eateries. In fact, we often drive the 45" to eat at several of the older places here. Entire place is very clean & neat, including restrooms. Their kitchen closes @ 2:00 PM Sundays. Arriving about 1:20, we were the only customers. Sunday menu is limited to breakfast & brunch type items. Foods are typical for region. This town is famous for good cooks, great Cajun & Southern foods. Waitress is nice, but is unsure of menu items; the maitre d' is more knowledgeable. However, once we got our cheeseburgers & fries, the meal was excellent. Very good burgers, good fries. Overall, very good food, digs, & overall value. No real disappointments. We'll definitely be back, but likely on a weekday for lunch.
