We had been here in 2017 and wanted to see if it was as good as we had remembered.....it definitely was!! The appetizer of onion rings were some of the best we have ever had. We both had the fried shrimp, lightly battered, perfectly fried, a good amount of French fries and a small dinner salad. Food and definitely the service. Bought crawfish, beginning it was good till we found some hair stuck to the crawfish. Showed one of the waitress she did nothing about. Just wiped it with a napkin and when about her business. Her attitude was horrible tried to start and argument. Until she was taken from our table. The manager or owner came her attitude was no different like it was our fault we found hair. She tried to give us fresh crawfish but we saw it was thrown back into the boiler. As a north Louisianan I was appalled at how little seasoning the boiled seafood had. I got shrimp....literally no seasoning. Asked for cocktail sauce...and im99% sure she brought me a cup of ketchup. Buddy got crans and he didn't like them. I am confused though. Because it seemed they had a good business for 5:30pm...in New Iberia...should be flavor capital of the world! This place is known for its boiled seafood and it definitely has stood the test of time because I used to come here with my parents when I was growing up in New Iberia. On my most recent visit here, a neighboring table had a plate of onion rings brought out. I love onion rings but they have to be cooked a certain way...I don't care for a thick beer batter, or those double battered onion rings and I prefer them on the thin side. I knew by looking at my neighbor's order I had to have my own because they looked heavenly. I was not disappointed. they were delicious and cooked perfectly. I'm always happy when I find a restaurant that does onion rings like this so yay for that! I got me some boiled shrimp, and a couple crab cakes and stuffed crab. They don't bring you pounds and pounds of shrimp. But they bring you out some huge shrimp. Not just huge because they still have the heads on, but these are still some big shrimp. They didn't have just a lot of seasoning in the boil, but just enough for flavor. I like the taste of shrimp by itself enough that the lack of spice didn't bother me much. The crab cakes were hot, and tasted great. The stuffed crab was just ok. Was kinda bland. This is the only place I get boiled crabs from. They are very pricey, but are nice sized and seasoned well. I called on a Sunday evening to place a to go order for a dozen of boiled crabs. I was told I couldn't, bc they only got one crate in that day. I explained that I am disabled and was unable to dine in and my daughter would have to pick it up for me. I was denied service bc I couldn't dine in. I understand they have a business to run, but I felt like they could have been a little more accommodating for someone that was unable to physically go in to eat. Not even worth one dam star! Well at least not tonight! I went one other time and it was good but we had a party of 10 and when I tell you we had horrible service our waitress would disappear and while I understand it was real busy but even when they had hardly anyone in there because we were one of the 2 last group there she STILL wasn't around and we had to ask another waitress to refill our drink etc. Most of the food was ok while out of 5 lbs of crawfish I had at least 10-20 crawfish ice cold like straight out the fridge cold! My friend had ordered 3lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp and when she got her crawfish the lady said sorry we ran out of crawfish we only could give you 1 lb with the 1 lb of shrimp. Now why couldn't they have told her this before serving the food. ALL her crawfish she did have was cold and her shrimp was so hard to peel when u got the shell off it just broke apart like they overcooked them! All she ate was her appetizer which was onions and that was good! And she refused to pay for what she didn't eat! Waitress agreed and said I totally understand and will change the bill. Well she went to the bath and seen someone she knew and told her friend everything that happened and this random man butted in her convo saying the shrimp is always hard to peel we cant do nothing about that and then laughed in her face about it! Well 30 mins later her again with another friend went to the bathroom and when they came out the owners friend said very loudly how u not going to pay for your food but you ate it so she said I didn't eat none of it but the appetizer thank u and the owner was giggling and hyping the friend up... well he is the Youngest owner I may not know his name but when I tell you that was so unprofessional and childish of the so called owner they have lost my business and well as our 10 people plus the table of 10 next to us as well! read more

We have been comong here for years, all of their food is wonderful! We love bringing friends from out of town. The wait staff is always great and on it! I also they are open till 9 pm on sunday as most places around here are closed Sundays or early. read more

Unless you want to deal with price gauging, don't bother going here. 1/2 dozen crabs were $40 yet they were $13 at other reputable restaurants. The food could use more seasoning. It was pretty much bland. That goes for both the boiled crabs and boiled shrimp. Even the grilled shrimp in the Shrimp Acadiana was bland. The service was great though from our waitress. read more

The fried catfish here was the best I've ever had! Hands down! The crust was crispy and the fish light and buttery. Not easy to get catfish cooked like that. Only complaint I can say is that I like coleslaw with my catfish instead of tartar sauce but they didn't have it on the menu. The crab cakes were great too. Don't usually like pickles but I liked them in these little baby cakes. The stuffed shrimp was good but the ratio of stuffing to shrimp was out of balance. Either decrease the amount of stuffing used or use larger shrimp. The right answer here is to use larger shrimp but it not my money so I don't get to make that decision. read more

Let's start with I am a northerner from Georgia. I am traveling on business and this place was recommended by the hotel. Large place with lots of parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Alligator. This was my one issue. The smaller pieces were definitely "it tastes like chicken". Not what I was looking for in Alligator. The couple of large pieces were sweet which is what I was hoping for. I would suggest putting less pieces on the plate but make them bigger. I ordered two pounds of crayfish. (Read my first sentence). I didn't know crayfish came this big. They were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Lastly I had a fried soft shell crab. It was moist, very meaty and delicious.
