PSA BRIDES: I strongly recommend against taking your wedding dress here for cleaning. I dropped off my wedding dress in September 2025 and paid $350 for cleaning. I was told it would be ready for pickup in November. After following up in December, I was told they needed a few additional weeks due to extra cleaning required. As mid-January 2026 approached, I reached out again for an update and contacted them 4 separate times with no response. I eventually went to the store in person, where they told me it would be "a few more weeks." In February 2026, I finally picked up my dress -- and it had the exact same stains as when I dropped it off, plus new rust stains that were not there before. I immediately pointed this out. The cashier told me, "it's because you only paid for cleaning." I responded that the dress clearly wasn't clean and I didn't understand how it could look worse after being in their possession for nearly five months. I was then brushed off so they could help the next customer, denied a refund, and not allowed to speak with a supervisor. Terrible experience. Please learn from my mistake and avoid this business. Have you ever had your dry cleaner steal a wedding dress? Have you ever had to sue them to get it back? That's exactly what happened to my wife and I. More than a year after this business stole, destroyed, or lost my wife's wedding dress, valued at a four-figure amount, we won the small claims case against them. Of course they have not paid, but that's okay. Interested accrues on a monthly basis. I'm here to make it easier for you to get your property money back when they inevitably steal from you as well! This business is shielded behind its real name Waterloo Cleaners, Inc, based out of Dallas. It's purposefully hard to find who owns it because they make it a habit to steal from and defraud their customers. Their business records are out of date almost everywhere - illegal by the way, but no one seems to care because Texas. But it is owned by Kevin Gary Bonfield and Mark Hess. This is all the key information you need to know to file a small claims case. You will want to find their out-of-date registered agent with the secretary of state to serve them the lawsuit. It will not work. Have the secretary of state certify your effort, and that's good enough to move forward with the lawsuit. They have some useless managers working for them who will pay lip service and yank your chain. Don't bother with them at all. It's a waste of your time. Their frontline employees know even less. If you check these reviews carefully - as well as Yelp and BBB - you'll see that these people have a long history of destroying, damaging, and stealing from their customers, especially wedding attire and expensive items. If we lived in a state that gave a crap about consumers, they would have been run out of it by now or tossed into the Gulf. Alas, we live in Texas, and they take full advantage of that, at your expense as a consumer. If you have a garment that's worth more than $10, I advise you to stay very, very, very far away from this business. If, on the other hand, you do business with them and enjoy small claims court - keep every receipt and communication you get. You will need it for the legal battle that will come later. I wonder how much they have stolen from their customers? I suppose we may never know. I just advise you not to become another one of us. read more

They washed and dried a blazer of mine instead of dry cleaning it. Of course it shrunk several sizes, which isn't the bothersome piece. Mistakes happen, I get it. The issue is that apparently only one person is able to deal with any type of issue (Nikki) and she completely ignores her staff and her customers. I, and the staff, have called and emailed her probably 10 times over the course of 2-3 weeks, and she won't respond to anyone. Management just doesn't care. it's wild. read more

Re: Delivery I dropped off clothes at the North Lamar location and asked for them to be dropped off. The driver left all of my clean clothes on the floor, even though there's a hook on my front door. I was home, and the driver didn't even bother to ring the doorbell. Filthy. read more

My experience with ECOClean in Austin has been deeply troubling, and consumers deserve to be warned. The business practices I encountered were not just inconvenient, they were opaque, misleading, and raise serious concerns under Texas consumer protection standards. To start, ECOClean's pricing is completely incoherent and nowhere to be found, no posted prices in-store, no transparent pricing online, and no disclosure before service. This lack of transparency is not an oversight; it is a systemic issue. I was charged $10.75 for a simple shirt cleaning, a price far above industry norms. I routinely dry clean the same items in Los Angeles, one of the most expensive markets in the country, and even there, prices are significantly lower. When I questioned the excessive charge, the staff suggested that I "should have asked for the lower‑priced cleaning option." This is absurd. At no point was I informed that multiple pricing tiers existed, and none of these prices are posted anywhere. A business cannot reasonably expect customers to request a "lower price" for a service they were never told had multiple prices to begin with. This is the very definition of a bait‑and‑switch pricing structure. The problems don't end there. ECOClean's website automatically enrolls customers into a "membership" simply for requesting information, without clear disclosure, without explicit consent, and without any meaningful opportunity to opt out. Once your payment information is entered, removing it becomes nearly impossible without calling in. The inability to remove payment methods or cancel memberships through the website appears intentionally designed to trap customers in recurring charges. Turnaround times are also far longer than advertised, adding yet another layer of frustration to an already problematic experience. Based on the totality of these issues, opaque pricing, misleading representations, unauthorized membership enrollment, and barriers to cancelation, I will be reporting ECOClean to the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division for review under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). While I cannot speak to the company's intent, the effect of their practices is unmistakable: consumers are left without transparency, without recourse, and without control over their own accounts. Everything about ECOClean's website and customer process appears engineered to benefit the business at the direct expense of the customer. Until these practices are corrected, I strongly advise avoiding this company entirely. read more

UPDATE: Jeff (the manager) still has possession of my blazer that he is "fixing" (it's literally been months) and it's nowhere to be found. At this point, I'm terrified that it's completely lost. I can't emphasize the stress this ridiculous incident has caused me. I've called no less than 20 times. I'll update this if and when Jeff finally returns my blazer with the outcome. At this point, it's theft. DO NOT BRING ANY ITEM YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS DRY CLEANER. They shrunk an expensive blazer, completely ruining it, and they have not yet resolved the issue. Was charged $150+ for a small dry cleaning job (4 pillowcases) that the cleaners shipped out for an intense home item detailing service that took 2 weeks. I didn't ask for this service so the store manager agreed to only charge for the normal dry cleaning. Was happy with this resolution only to see the full charge for $150+ was run on my card without any warning about a month later. Was unable to resolve with mgmt (tried to contact them for days but no one would call me back), so had to file a dispute with my bank. read more

I've been using these guys for several years for a regular pick up and drop off at my house in Austin. Super convenient and they do a good job. I text them before 9 o'clock letting them know to come pick up and they usually respond within 5 minutes confirming and then respond again when the pick up has occurred. I probably use them 2 or 3 times a month for at least the last 3 years it's not longer. Over that period of time on 2 occasions my stuff came and split bags but otherwise I've had no issues ever. We don't use chemical dry cleaners and would recommend Ecoclean to anybody read more

Just went to put one of the two suits I had cleaned here on and they shrunk it. Same with the next. I'm now out over a grand and SOL for a meeting where I needed a suit. The whole experience was negative - from dropping off items and spending 10 mins trying to get some type of receipt to ensure I could track my items (never got one) to them clearly not looking at the wash instructions / tags / fabrics of my items to the customer service since. They fully ruined a cashmere quilt and shrank an expensive duvet by drying them in a dryer. This company shrunk and then subsequently stole my cashmere sweater when I returned it to them to try to have it stretched back to its original shape. I've called multiple ties to try to have them send me the sweater back, stretched or not, and refuse to call me back. They claim it's "at the plant." It's been almost a month! I received a chemical burn from a dry cleaner years ago so vowed off traditional dry cleaners and was so excited to find Eco Clean. They were great the first year or two I used them but they must have had an ownership change because the past year has been awful service. They deleted their app, lost my bag, showed up without an extra bag in their vehicle, delivery driver looked like he just rolled out of bed, said they would reschedule my appointment and didn't, and ruined a sweater. I went into the location to talk to them about my sweater and they gave me the number for a manager. I've had two conversations with him so far as well as multiple voicemails. He asked me to send him a copy of the receipt and they could refund up to 10 times the cost of the cleaning so forget getting reimbursed fully if you own anything nice. I've since sent him 2 more emails with no response. This has been going on for over a month now. I called the store again and asked for someone else to speak with and they told me he was the top guy. So disappointing when a great business idea fails because of bad customer service. Someone needs to go buy them out and turn it around or maybe that's what's happening and he's given up! read more

Man I really wanted to love this place but the service was pretty dismal. I asked them repeatedly if they would be able to do a quick turnaround as I needed an item for an event by Wed. They assured me it would be done in time and I could pick it up Tues. evening - lo and behold we get there and the item was not done. We paid rush pricing, they had our phone number and could have alerted us that the item was not going to be in on time but nothing. Thankfully we were able to pick it up in the AM but it caused a huge cramp in the day and if we had been flying out that morning we would have been screwed. My sweater came back pristine. They were clear to let me know that they do not clean products in a traditional method but more eco friendly way using water. They also indicated their cost upfront. This company ripped me off and has declaimed responsibility for it. I had been doing cleaning there for almost a year and had no problems, then, like the joke about bankruptcy, problems came gradually, then suddenly. I wear suits for work, so reliable cleaning is not optional for me. These guys really caused me some big problems. The first one was when my order was a few days late and split in two, with the trousers being finished in the next business week. They gave me my jackets back but not the trousers and lost the transport / protection bag I had paid an extra $15 for. There was no apology, no refund, just a statement of, "We goofed." I gave them another chance. This time my order was a week late, they lost track of it, refused to deliver it, even though I paid for it and their staff scheduled it in front of me for delivery and lost clothes given to me as a gift by my dad. Once again, no apology, no refund and they hung up on me when I called to complain. I will find another cleaner and suggest you do the same. read more

So happy to have a "dry cleaner" that is non toxic! Can't believe how many years I dry cleaned my work clothes with such harsh chemicals. I'm happy to pay just a little extra for EcoClean's process. Everything I've had them do has been perfect & NO chemical or the smell associated with that. STOP killer yourself & your family by using traditional dry cleaning. It's just not worth it! I just moved to the HHI area and was looking for a dry cleaner. I tried Ecoclean and was sorely disappointed. They ruined my brand new shirt and the cashier was RUDE. She knew that my shirt was ruined and called me immediately after I picked it up. For this I applaud her, but she asked me to return the shirt and she would "send it to the owner to see what he could do." When I questioned this she started yelling, became defensive and rude, then hung up on me. I was speechless...I tried calling back and my call went straight to VM. NEVER AGAIN! read more

There's a much longer and more frustrated version of this review, but the short version is: I paid to have them clean and ship my wedding dress, the dress got lost or forgotten for months, none of the promised follow-ups ever materialized, and I had to spend multiple hours of time over more than a month trying to get any answers. This came to a head over the past week with EcoClean's general manager (Jeff) telling me he had shipped it a week ago, blaming his employees for the month-plus delay after the dress was located and I paid for it, promising multiple times that the tracking information was sitting on his desk and he would send it ASAP, ghosting on that promise multiple times, and finally sending me tracking information that revealed he had only created the label with FedEx AFTER our last phone call (during which time he again promised me it had been shipped a week prior). I'm not an unreasonable person; I know stuff falls through the cracks sometimes and that's totally fine if you're honest about it and work to solve the problem; but the month-plus of consistent avoidance, disorganization, and obvious/documented dishonesty about where my wedding dress actually was is mind-boggling to me. Ecoclean is a little pricey and I would expect that my shirts and slacks wouldn't be returned with more wrinkles than when I dropped them off. It doesn't look like much care was put into the laundry. I dropped off two items to be cleaned since I was unsuccessful at cleaning my white Columbia fleece jacket to it's original brightness at home and getting the ink stains out of my pair of pants. The staff was friendly and explained their cleaning process when I dropped off my items, told me they would be ready the next day and gave me a price quote. I was too busy to pick them up the next day but, when I did I was impressed at how clean my jacket was and they were able to remove the ink from my pants. It is a little more expensive to have your clothes cleaned here than at a traditional dry cleaner but, I also appreciate the Eco friendly nature of this place. read more

Let me start by saying I've never had anything dry-cleaned. So no, I'm not the guru of the best dry cleaning spots in Austin, but I'm writing this review anyway. I stupidly wore a new, and my favorite, wool peacoat to Yard Bar. (Highly recommend if you need your dog to run around outside and within the confines of a metal fence, AND enjoy drinking at the same time.) The point is, I wore it, then I got hot, laid it to rest on a table, and my mutt of a chihuahua decided it would be really cool to knock my beer over onto it, as well as step on it with his dirty, muddy paws. I may have cried when this happened. My darling fiancé took my coat to EcoClean, definitely later than we wanted. So this beer and mud were basically just having a party on my beautiful wool coat for a solid two weeks before EcoClean took it in to their loving arms and made my coat look newer than brand new. Like yes wow thank you. They were also the only ones open on a Sunday. I mean, seriously, it was perfect. Better than it was when I bought it. So, I highly highly recommend this place, and I'd say this location specifically. (Not that know first hand what any other is like BUT STILL.) Ok bye read more

Dropped clothes off Wednesday 5pm with a plan to take the clothes to a consignment store and sell them Friday at 5. Was told Friday at 1pm that my clothes are running a whole day late. Unacceptable, given I had a scheduled appointment to sell these clothes. I was offered a measly 10% discount on my order after I asked....but wait, why'd I have to ask for that at all? I hardly ever write reviews but I'm so angry with my experience at Ecoclean that I had to. My husband took in 6 of my dresses for dry-cleaning (my first mistake as he didn't realize what is a normal price to dry-clean a dress). I've always been charged around $6-9 per dress at most places. Ecoclean charged me $17-20 per dress. While this price is absolutely outrageous to me, I probably would not have minded paying that much if they actually did a good job. A few of my dresses had deodorant marks that they did not get out and instead just tagged them for "stain". I've never had a dry-cleaner who had issues getting out something as simple as a deodorant mark. Additionally, they shrunk 2 of my absolute favorite dresses to the point where I can't even wear them to work anymore as they are now too short. My dresses were also wrinkled when they were returned to me. I just can't believe they charge this much for such horrible service. I will never go here again. read more

Unfortunately, this place is really, really overpriced. To clean one casual dress was $18. There are many other dry cleaners who charge less than half of that price and do a quality job. I've been trying to think of *any* business with which I've experienced such a disastrous epic-fail as a first-time customer, but ... nah, nothing else comes close. Last week I decided to try EcoClean and its delivery service for the first time. Since I'm going out of town tomorrow (Saturday), I requested that my shirts be delivered folded instead of on hangers, and received a confirmation email that it wouldn't be a problem. As instructed in the email, I left my clothes in a (small reusable) bag (of my own) on my front porch Monday morning. The bag was picked up at some point on Monday, which I think is the *only* part of this tale that worked as it should have. By Thursday night, I was starting to wonder where my clothes were. I *thought* they'd told me they would be returned on Wednesday, but they were not. This morning (Friday) I woke up to a text message from them saying that due to inclement weather they were cancelling all of the day's deliveries and pushing them back to Saturday. I was mildly perturbed, but considering it was raining exceptionally hard earlier today, I cut them some slack. Still, since I'm leaving town tomorrow I needed to get my clothes today, so I called this location -- the one I'd used for the initial pickup -- to see if I could simply pick up my clothes instead. It was at this point that things started going downhill. First, the guy I spoke to said my clothes were not, in fact, there, since their deliveries are processed mainly through their original store on Guadalupe. His phone manner was unusually brusque, at least by Austin standards, but he said he'd call and check if my order was at the other store and then immediately call me back. ...which he did not. Moreover, I waited several hours and he never called back, period. By then I decided the easiest course of action was to just drive over to the Guadalupe store myself and take care of it. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk told me my clothes had been delivered Wednesday (two days ago) -- which they definitely had not. She then began rummaging through hundreds of bags to see if my order had been misplaced. At long last, she discovered it had. ...except my clothes weren't boxed. Much worse, they were all hung inside several standard plastic dry cleaning bags. One of the reasons I picked EcoClean in the first place is because they said they gave all delivery customers a free "Green Garmento," described on their website as an "eco-friendly, stylish and practical alternative to single-use plastic garment bags" that "does triple duty as a hanging hamper for dirty clothes, a duffel bag for the trip to EcoClean and a cover for your clean clothes for the trip home." Seeing as plastic garment bags are basically an environmental disaster on every level, that was a key selling point. Last but not least, I wasn't even offered an *apology*, let alone anything along the lines of make-goods (e.g. a discount on my order, an offer to rebag it in a Green Garmento, etc.). The ONLY reason I'm giving them two stars instead of one is because I've worked on several environmental-law cases that involved cleanups of breached subterranean perc tanks underneath older dry-cleaning stores, and I appreciate their avoidance of it -- despite delivering my order in plastic bags. (Btw "perc" is short for perchloroethylene, a dangerous carcinogen that routinely leaks into soil and contaminates all the surrounding groundwater.) Oh, and they also lost the bag that I left my clothes in on Monday. Awesome. read more

Not happy with the way my clothes came out, at all. I took my uniform to get cleaned and pressed along with two of my button down shirts. Asked for dry clean and press and requested the shirts with heavy starch and pressing (I'm in the military and I used the term "I want them to standup on their own"). Dropped off my uniform on Thursday and they said they would be ready by Friday morning. I was happy to find out that they were open on Sunday because it it allowed me the time I needed on Saturday to take care of some stuff with my family. The price was high on the service for dry cleaning, 27 dollars for 2 shirts, a coat and a pair of pants. I've used their wash and fold service in the past when I still lived in Austin and they had done a good job in the past when they were still located on Guadalupe and 29 so I wasn't bothered by the price at the time. I Picked up my stuff and gave it a quick go over but they had them in plastic bags and from what I could see they looked fine...they were definitely not fine when I got home. Who on gods green earth in this business would ever think it is acceptable to have splotchy starch marks all over a shirt and then press wrinkles into a shirt and then charge 7 dollars!!! Because I am in the military my uniform shirts already have established creases on the sleeves so it's not hard to see how they lay when you press them but they pressed the shirts wrong and double creased the sleeves. Furthermore the epaulettes on the shirt were pressed wrong and had several hard wrinkles in them. Now after about an hour and half, I just finished the ironing out the eco cleans handiwork of my uniform shirts. I am not happy in the slightest. The only reason they're getting 3 stars is because the coat and pants turned out somewhat fine and the lady at the front desk was really nice. but for the price they charged for the uniform shirts and the product/service they gave back to me is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Wow .. thank you to my daughter who recommended Ecoclean to me. My vintage cotton wedding dress from 34 years ago had (yes fact) never been cleaned. It was yellowed and spotted from long term unprotected storage. Ecoclean restored it beautifully!!!! They were incredibly careful with the sheer vintage cottons and it came back to me unbelievably beautiful and white. Thank you Ecoclean... i'm a new fan. read more

Amazing! I took them a wool coat I used and abused though all of high school and college. It had been dark blue with light yellow Thinsulate lining, but the blue was pilly and the yellow was not quite yellow anymore. I took it to them to get off a couple of spots, and they returned it looking better than I thought it would ever look again! It would pass for a new coat now, and it was only $20 for the cleaning. read more

It had pen on it when it was returned. Never worn. Had to wear this with pen for engagement photos. Just brought it back to be fixed - the pen is still there. $265 shirt ruined. Unable to wear this at an upcoming wedding. Probably can't get another one made in time. Your credit card machine was broken today. You did not fully clean a jacket I brought in another time. Every item I got cleaned for stains did not remove any of the stains. In fact new ones appeared on my shirts. There was a sample size of about six brought in with stains. About now eight shirts have stains. Staff is patient and friendly, but quality of service is bad, just pure good marketing. I really want to love you guys, but it's not working out. read more

It's a gamble. I used this service 4 times in total. On my 4th (and last) visit to EcoClean, my order came back so messed up that it required 2 weeks of going back and forth, numerous trips and phone calls. At the end, the situation was not resolved and the employees admitted to their careless oversights. Even with all of the wasted time and trouble that I had to go through, and having my garment ruined, the employee insisted on paying for the service. Conclusion. You are taking a gamble with this place. Make sure you do your homework. Management is unresponsive to phone calls. read more

I had a white dress cleaned here and they were able to get rid of a red wine stain that I didnt think would come out. It was a good price for the job they did too! On top of this, the staff was incredibly helpful. Peyton did a great job making sure my dress was taken care of and was very pleasant all throughout the process.
