I went to pick up a pizza next door, but have a sweet tooth and was excited to pop in and try this place out. It was a very inviting environment, decorated very well, and friendly staff. There were lots of options to try from. I went for the s'mores brownie. They warmed it up for me and it was just ok. Then it was time to try the Oreo cheesecake. Also, underwhelming. The cheesecake was bland, no real flavor to it. With so many options in houston, I'd try another place.

What a dessert selection !! The service was great and they had no dine in. It was grab and go but it was perfect space for her goodies to be displayed. Very family friendly but sweet tooth's beware---overload of choices. Everything looked great. Went in to buy 3 and came out with 5. Who would have guessed !!! If you're in the area stop in and grab a slab of cake. (Most are 3 or 4 layers)

Ordered a red velvet cake and the first few bites were stale. Afterwards it got better but there wasn't a taste. Nothing Bundt Cake does a much better job. The price of mile was $3! I can buy an entire gallon for $2.69 from Kroger. The lady behind the counter nice and the place was clean. Given the taste and price, good chance I won't be going back.

It was super cool witnessing the end product of these amazing artisan baked goods. We got two slices of the lemon blueberry cake at $11 each. The cake is not the usual Big Mama sweet pound cake. In fact, the cake is barely sweet, the thin lemon filling is where most of the sweetness comes from. Service was excellent and inviting. I was greeted promptly upon arriving and my questions were answered. The decor was very appealing and I was impressed with the amount of baked goods they have. The size of each cake was massive!!! I've never seen cakes that huge but then again, this is Texas. Overall, the visit was very nice and I was semi-pleased with my selection. The price was reasonable but when I want cake, I want some sugar because I rarely eat sweets and my sweet tooth needs that fulfillment lol.

Stumbled upon this cute cake and dessert shop after dinner in the area, and it was the best discovery of the evening! The server was so nice and gave us recommendations based on our taste, and the shop itself was very cute and homey. Of note there isn't any seating inside, only a table for standing! The seasonal maple cake was absolutely incredible. Rich caramel and maple flavors in the icing and filling layers, with a maple cake. Very sweet, which is what I was looking for, but if you're not into that I would choose another flavor! The blueberry lemon cake was also so good. A bit more tart in the lemon flavors but still a sweet tone overall. A good balance with the maple cake! I also tried the Dulce latte cookie, which included a toasted marshmallow on top of a caramel cookie with toffee chips and dulce caramel filling. So amazing. The slices are HUGE, almost as big as my head! Absolutely love this spot and I'll be back for sure!

The lemon blueberry cake is amazing! I order one for a party and everyone loved it! Will order again!

To start off with the desserts are so pretty! The full cakes are stunning and the cookies look delicious! The woman at the counter was very nice, we had lots of questions and she answered all of them. The place is small and there's no seating but it's still super cute. The chocolate chip cookie was warm gooey and it practically melted in your mouth. The brownie was fudgey and chocolatey but I wasn't a big fan of the marshmallow, that's just personal preference. I wanted to love the Strawberry Crème cake and the flavor of the cake is really good, the downside is that the slices are like 60% icing 40% cake. The ratios are a bit off and as someone who doesn't particularly like icing it's just overwhelmingly sugary. Beyond that, I'd definitely recommend giving their cookies a try. They also have cheesecakes and macaroons. I'll definitely be back for their cookies!

I been looking and searching high and low in these Houston streets!! And perhaps i have found a dessert home!! The place is small and doesn't encourage you to stay and enjoy your desserts. There is a long bar table but again i felt like it was more of a waiting spot. This is grab and go mostly but it's nice and cozy. I highly suggest the Strawberry cake slice!! Hit the spot instantly!! Super moist and flavorful without being overly sweet and feeling horrible after you eat that huge slice... because you will!! The staff member was very nice and helpful. She answered all of our questions and allowed me to take my time while choosing from all of the goodies! Check your order before leaving as I did receive the wrong cheesecake slice, but otherwise this first visit was a success! Happy Yelping!

In my annual review of Eat Cake, I think I should start be saying- it may be time for an intervention. For the life of me, I cannot enter the shop without purchasing less than $50 worth of dessert items (peep my initial review for my opinion of the cheesecake and various other offerings) On the other hand, my weight gain is your gain, here's what I recommend from this pocket sweet shop and why: *in terms of methodology, I took a bite of each and every one of these treats on day of purchase as the ultimate taste test* The chocolate chip cookie- man this is still one of the most indulgent treats in the city. It still delivers as an ooey, gooey, buttery, freshly baked tasting masterpiece. Simple, but always worth ordering! The brownie with marshmallow- heating this bad boy up in the convection oven will always be a treat! I add salt to mine, and reluctantly say this treat is shareable. I'm a fudgy brownie girlie, and the crispy exterior paired with a fudgy middle makes this treat win-worthy in my book. Midnight chocolate cake- you know what they say- the blacker the berry...and although this cake has 0 berries, rest assured, from the pillowy texture to the varied chocolate varieties offered, this cake is a fudgy, chocolatey winner! Raspberry almond cake-a nearby sweets dealer makes a mean almond cake. That being said, I guess I've set the bar pretty high! This cake was moist, and had a nice crumb, but the raspberry filling was just not for me! Lemon cloud- it's a simple dessert that'll satisfy your lemon bar craving. Is it one of order again-probably not. They have plenty " must try" items, and from my experience this is one is just a lemon bar. If you're considering visiting for the first time, know that the area stays busy, and as of the time of this review (Oct 2024), there's construction in the area. Irregardless of if you find yourself in traffic on your way over, or facing the anxiety of driving through a construction zone on your way out, if you order the chocolate chip cookie, it'll help ease the discomfort!

Lemon blueberry!! That's it that's the review! 3 tiers of moist, delectable, savory deliciousness. Whenever I'm in the heights I stop and grab a slice.

People there very nice and cakes look pretty only if you're willing to pay 86 for a very bad cake. None of the 10 people at the party liked it. Most of the layers had no flavor and only the middle part taste like butter with a bad artificial lemon flavor. I bought the lemon raspberry one. Of course no refund when I brought it back as "taste is a preference " and we were left with no dessert for Christmas. For that price it was very disappointing not getting a refund when I brought the entire cake back

Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

Perhaps it was how bready it was or that I found the toppings slightly underwhelming but... yeah. Still yummy though but not my fav. My husbands though - his was amazing! But also incredibly rich.
