My mom took my brother and I to Eat @ Thai and boy, was that a mistake. We ordered the house special of tilapia which didn't come with rice like they said it does, and a cheap plate of salad that was probably worth $2 and we order the chicken yellow curry which was thick and the potatoes were hard and bland, we also had the Pad Thai which is a traditional Thai dish, but the color was brown and was extremely sticky when swallowed, so sticky that I had to drink a couple swigs of water to get it down. Likewise, Pad Thai normally has pieces of egg, not an egg which appeared to be over cooked and dried out. Not only that, but also there was only ONE piece of tofu which is also supposed to be in the dish. It felt as if they didn't even know how to cook good Pad Thai, which I find quiet sad, knowing that customers would want to try this dish. Also, the servers were nice, however, they kept staring at us while we ate which was quite unsettling. We loved the ambiance, but the chef needs to change because of the unauthentic Thai flavors. I have to say the interior and decor of this place is really nice. This restaurant has a nice and calm atmosphere. I was promptly seated and given a menu. The waitress told me what their lunch specials were and what was offered as sides. I made my order and within minutes my food was served. I like that I was given a variety of things that I could add to my dish (chilies, red pepper sauce, crushed peanuts). The food itself was good although not the best Thai food I have eaten. Thai food is one of my favor food, but today I ordered Togo and my experience was very bad, I ordered brown rice (too sticky, this means they add too much water during cooking), pad Thai was ok but the taste was off, so I gave 2 stars, pa-nang curry I ordered was the most spicy mild and oily curry I have ever ate in my life, oil is almost half inch high in the Togo box and the dish is spicy not mild. read more

Tammy was great and it seemed like she was taking care of everyone and very busy, but managed to be attentive to all the diners. First of all, they had two-for-one bottles of beer for happy hour. I ordered the pineapple fried rice as "spicy" and she warned me that it would really be hot-----and it was (I was on fire in a good way)-----but I loved it and I'll be back to try the curry real soon. So this place is under new management, it use to be called Siam. When I first saw that Siam is closed (over yelp), I thought the restaurant was closed down (but that wasn't the case). When we first got there, there wasn't any other customers there so we basically got the whole place to ourselves. Drinks: I ordered the favorite Thai ice tea with milk. It wasn't strong enough, and the milk and cream over-powered the tea. It was actually more creamy because of that. Appetizers: Vegetable spring rolls- they were a-ok, nothing more to rave about, it came with sweet and sour sauce that made the perfect combo. Shrimps in a blanket- This was soooo good! once you bite into it, it has so much flavor. Also came with sweet and sour sauce with peanuts. Main Courses: Thai Country Beef- Out of all the dishes I ordered here, this was the hottest. However the beef was a little bit too salty, so I ended up picking through the vegetables. Also came with a delicious refreshing mint dressing house salad, and white rice. Shrimp Panang Curry- This was my favorite dish out of all the ones I ordered. The sauce was perfect, flavorful, spicy, not so loose sauce. It was a perfect combo with the broccoli and peas it included with. Chicken Pad Kra Pow- This dish was very tasty, and the chicken was soo tender! It also came with a lot of more vegetables, all stir fried together with soy sauce. I wish this dish was hotter however. Prawn Thai Sweet and Sour- This sweet and sour was very different, it doesn't quite taste like the chinese version of sweet and sour. It was more sour than sweet. Pad Thai- One of my folks wasn't a fan of fish sauce, so we had to order this dish without the fish sauce. It was bummer because it didn't taste that great. I ordered delivery, and I ordered 2 yellow chicken curries. They took longer (half an hour) over the delivery time, and when I opened my food, I saw they only gave us one order of rice for two servings of the dish. I called to complain and ask for more rice, and the woman on the phone was rude and insistent that they gave us enough rice (which they didn't). And to top it off, I asked for the food to be mild and they made it incredibly spicy. Never eating here again. read more

Was served bland food. Example: ordered orange chicken, was served deep fried chunks of Obvious commercial chicken with some sauce drizzled on top with a scoop of white rice on a side plate? You know how most times you order delivery, you end up opening the containers and going meh. Eat@Thai has never made me go meh. They are now my goto delivery place via GrubHub. What I love is that they are not afraid to make their food spicy. If you want it spicy, they will happily make sure that your lips burn. I always order their steak salad. Their curries are delicious. I've never been disappointed in anything that I've ordered. The orders are always slightly on the small side and I wish they would throw rice in for free ($2 for a small container of rice?). I always end up ordering about $40 worth of stuff, so it's not the cheapest night in - but worth it. The delivery staff has always been prompt (despite the fact that my house is hard to find), and very sweet. Great delivery place. read more

Came here after work for early dinner with my friend and it was not busy. Checked into Yelp and got a free Thai iced tea. Yay! Service was okay. There's tons of parking on the street. Place was huge, a little dark but appeared clean. We ordered the pad thai - a little too sweet for me, tilapia with eggplant - a little bit spicy, and the appetizer was crab Rangoon - really good. Restroom was adequate but as I was washing my hands, I saw a worker there come out of the restroom stall and right out the door without washing her hands. When I got to my table, she was taking orders at a table. That is not cool and so unsanitary! Will not be coming here again. read more

I lived in East Hollywood for a few years which is also Thai Town. I was spoiled with $5.95 pad thai and thai tea with boba for $1.95... this place is def more expensive than anywhere I'm used to and nowhere near as good but we live like 60 seconds away so... I like how spicy they can make their food and that it's so convenient but I don't love their pad thai. they're always extremely nice and friendly. it's not the best Thai food I've ever had but it helps knock out my tom kha cravings. read more

I tried Eat at Thai based on the strong reviews, but I'm pretty puzzled by the glowing reviews of fresh spring rolls and pad thai. The shrimp rolls were bristling with lettuce, strangely large pieces of cucumber, and two tiny pieces of rubbery shrimp. No mint, no noodles -- just bland bland bland. The pad thai noodle chewiness was pleasing but the sauce lacked flavor. Maybe I'm spoiled from eating delicious (and cheap) Thai food in my travels to Thailand, but I can't say I will be returning here. Not the best but also not the worst! It will full fill your pad thai craving but they can't seem to get it right on the spice level. Once I ordered chicken pad thai "regular spicy" and it was so hot I couldn't finish it. The next time I ordered "mildly spicy" and there was no spice whatsoever. My roommate and I use this as our go-to delivery Thai place. Really quality food and super fast. The crispy fried calamari is awesome. The fried rices are all done really nicely too. I tried Duck Basil today, over all is a tasty 4 star, however, the deeply fried basil leaves have no aroma at all. the sticky rice i ordered is inside of a plastic bag, i imagined microwaved, such a toxic turn off, the over heated plastic is a no no. service is 4 star though. read more
