Green curry with beef

Still a 4 star. Really good food despite the dimness inside. Service was ok. Did not refill my water. Som tum was on point and not spicy at all. Green curry, so so good. Ambiance, super chill. I will come back. The only bad thing, is they charged me a to go box. Lol

Late night cravings. It's been over a year since I have been here but always treated like royalty. They even let me dine in even after their last call at 1am. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant when at the Berkeley area and their crispy pork with basil is INCREDIBLE Special thanks to Alissa and Smile for the hospitality

Great food! Staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations! Nice spot to grab some Thai food to dine in or take out.

This is supposed to be chicken laarb....
Melinda S.

I don't normally write reviews. But this was so bad I had to. I just ordered chicken laarb and to say it nicely I basically got lettuce with a sprinkle of chicken... the picture says it all. Wish there was an option for 0 stars. Worst portion size I have ever received from an establishment. It was like $16 for this....

Food is not worth it for the price.

Small serving - expensive meat feels like not fresh oily aftertaste Restroom dirty

Are y'all seriously charging $18 for this? First and last time it don't even come with the steak sauce ‍
Tammy M.

I can't believe yall are charging $18 for this! And it didn't come with rice or the steak sauce. First time and I drove from Oakland to try it but I won't be going back.

Very comfortable restaurant. Love the tables and chairs. Nice ambiance. Service is good, with friendly staff. Food was served within a reasonable amount of time. It was delicious and taste good! Definitely recommend this place when you are in Berkeley, CA!

One of the staff members were so sweet and regularly checked up on everyone, but our main server was incredibly rude. My vegetarian friend wasn't able to eat eggs but the rest of the table could, so we asked kindly if it's possible to just have it put on the side. I understand if they couldn't do it for whatever reason, but we were just met with so much passive aggressiveness for asking. It made the mood very unpleasant. But honestly, I find it strange as most restaurants are pretty understanding of dietary restrictions and can make modifications to cater to their many costumers. I previously had their pad thai for takeout in 2024 and remember being very disappointed. That said, I would give it another try if dined in. RECS: + Pad see ew ($16) was good, one of the better ones I've had + Green curry ($16) was delicious and full of flavor! + Crispy pumpkin ($10) had a light, airy coating of batter and was paired with a tasty sweet and sour sauce

Cold beers are available with a nice glass. I frequent this spot and love the yellow curry vegetarian style or the ginger vegetables with cashews. We tried the Restaurant Week sampler plates, which were such a fun way to explore a variety of dishes. Everything was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and tasty. My standouts were the papaya salad, green curry tofu, pad see ew, and pad thai! Every dish was flavorful with the perfect hint of spices. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully presented. We ended the night with mango sticky rice, which was so delicious - it had a crunchy topping sprinkled on top that added a really nice texture! Overall, this place exceeded expectations in every way. Delicious food, amazing service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. We will 100% be back!

Came here after a disappointing visit at Cheese Board Pizzeria (a place I believe offers cheesy…read moreflatbread vs. saucy pizza with toppings, and more importantly, flavor). But Rose La Moon saved the night, ending it on a good note. Rose La Moon isn't a fancy place and doesn't have live music (like that cheesy cheesy flatbread place), but when you arrive, the restaurant is clean. Ordering is on the monitor and once you place your order, if you are dining in, which is what we did, you seat yourself and wait for your food to arrive. Water is self-serve and you clean your own table after dining, which is totally fine with me. What I wanted tonight was good food and just a friendly face. We ordered: Hat Yai Fried Chicken - $11 Moo Tod with Jaew Sauce - $11 Laos Style Papaya Salad- $13 Nice Thai lady brought our food to our table when the fried chicken and fried pork jerky were ready. We started chowing down immediately. As we were halfway in, she came back to tell us that the papaya salad was going to come out in a few minutes - wonderful as this showed that they were attentive and also wanted to assure me that they didn't forget and that it's on its way. The fried chicken and moo tod were delicious! Just the right amount for the price. Chicken was juicy and crispy - although I didn't like the sweet and sour sauce that came with it; it was good but I prefer the sweet chili sauce with it instead. The pork jerky was also crispy and juicy and jaew sauce with it? Perfect! Then came the papaya salad. Now, most Thai places do not offer it Laos style and I do love that funk. Rose La Mokn definitely delivered. It was just the right amount of fermented funk (some places do make it way too funky) and was so good!!! Funky and a bunch of texture from the tomatoes to the strong beans to the papaya strips to the peanuts and also had some mixed greens in there. What a wonderful meal - all for under ~$35 before tax and tip! Great delicious food and great value! Thank you for making my night tonight, Rose La Moon!

I've always wanted to dine at Sistory for brunch, but coming in the evening, it wasn't too busy. There was a steady flow of customers and take-out orders. The restaurant is warm, cozy, and quaint. There are several tables for pairs or parties of four, plus some artwork displayed. There was only one server who was juggling customers, but we were well taken care of. My best friend and I shared Roti Dip, Pad Thai with Chicken, and Yellow Curry with Tofu. The roti was so flaky and warm! The Pad Thai tasted good and was typical of the ones I've had. The curry was robust and flavorful! Being mild, it was a bit spicier than we had anticipated. So if you have a low spice tolerance, keep that in mind! We also got Thai Tea, which was refreshing! Portion sizes were good, and we took our leftovers to go. Sistory Thai Kitchen is an addition to the Albany and North Berkeley area. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their brunch! They're located off San Pablo Ave. with street parking out front.
