Great customer service, server was friendly and professional. Plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating. Plenty of options. Food was fresh and flavorful. Would def recommend if you're looking for bbq. Small bar area. Clean restrooms.

Melt in your mouth, fall off the bone kine tingz!! So good, no wonder there's a wait. We waited 20-25 mins for a table on a Saturday night in August. I was a little worried when I saw lots of tourist but it's located in Kailua so that tracks. It's definitely not a fancy romantic joint but it had a an open air vibe. The service was friendly and great. I can't say that our food came out quickly but it was worth the weight. I had the half Huli Huli chicken for $28 and the sides were very rich... creamy corn and Mac n cheese. The Huli was more of a smoked to perfection kind of deal. My son had the brisket sandwich, $25 and not was stuffed with meat but extremely messy with the signature Aioli and it came with fries. There were no crumbs left on his plate. My hubby got the brisket and pork belly combo plate. The brisket and pork literally melted in your mouth. Not dry at all! They also give you the option for grilled or non grilled cornbread with the plates... grilled no brainer but not gonna lie was small kine dry. For the 3 of us and 2 beers came out to $100. We left stuffed and happy. Make sure you bring handi- wipes cuz eating here can get messy. Not sorry.

Easy'Que on Kailua Road...adjacent to The Bike Shop. This eatery has been here a few years...just before the pandemic (?)...around that time frame. Sister company to the nearby Over Easy. Well, I finally paid a visit this day - I like Southern / Texan / Midwest BBQ but I can't say that I luv it. I am a local after all, so give me Korean BBQ or yakiniku any day. I ordered via Local / Toast app and got the Two Meat BBQ Plate; with beef brisket and pork belly. Two sides chosen were baked beans and cole slaw...both excellent. Also, picked the corn bread - another winnah...just bordering on too sweet. BBQ sauces were alright. Both the brisket and pork belly were well seasoned...if anything, the pork belly was a bit salty. Both were very tender. Neither needed any sauce. L-shape dining interior. Outdoor seating available. Parking for the shared businesses. Fair amount of to stalls. You can enter / exit from either Kailua Road or Hamakua Drive. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday theu Fridays they're open for dinner: 400p till 830p. Weekends open at 930a and close, 830p on Satudays - 930p on Sundays.

Hubs wanted to try the bbq. No parking in their lot, so we parked at the Foodland lot. It was busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly. Hubs ordered the Sticky ribs - he enjoyed them. The grilled cornbread was also good. He also ordered a 1/2 lb of the brisket which was flavorful. I went with the shrimp and grits and, unfortunately, it was not my fave. The dish noted fried shrimp - they were batter fried but soggy and not crispy so there was no texture to this dish and it was bland, too. I removed the coating from the shrimp as it was just too mushy and then added the bits from hubs' broccoli side which added flavor to the grits.

Oof, this is one of those reviews I've been putting off because once I write it... the secret's out. But Easy Que deserves all the love, especially now that I'm getting ready to leave the island. After living on Oʻahu for the past three years, Easy Que has become that spot for me and my husband -- the one we save for good days, beach days, and "we want comfort food but don't want chaos" days. First off: the vibe. It's calm, cozy, and genuinely peaceful. Cute décor, indoor and outdoor seating, and somehow always easy to get a table. No long waits, no loud crowds -- just good food and good energy, which feels rare these days. The service is consistently amazing. Every server we've had has been so kind, welcoming, and attentive in that very local, genuine way. I really appreciate that they always make sure to let guests know that the green house-made BBQ sauce contains shellfish -- it's such a small thing, but it shows how much care they put into their customers. Mahalo for that attention to detail. Location-wise, it's perfect. Easy Que is on the east side, about a 10-minute drive from Kailua Beach (my absolute favorite beach on the island). The area is beautiful, laid-back, and makes for the best post-beach meal. Sun, salt air, then BBQ? Yes please. Now let's talk food -- because wow. I always get the Kalua pork plate with mac and cheese and tater tots. Always. The portion size is super generous and priced really well, especially for the quality. Their BBQ sauces are all made in-house, and my personal favorite is the crack seed sauce -- sweet, tangy, and totally unique. You can tell a lot of thought goes into their flavors. My husband is loyal to the Three Little Pigs sandwich, also with mac and cheese and tots (clearly we have priorities). And that mac and cheese... I'm not exaggerating when I say we are obsessed. We love it with a passion, and honestly, thinking about moving away and not being able to have it anymore makes me want to cry a little. It's creamy, rich, and pure comfort. For appetizers, the Burrata with Tomatoes is incredible -- light, fresh, and the perfect contrast to all the BBQ. And my go-to drink is the Lilikoi sweet tea. It's the ideal balance of sweet and tart, so refreshing, and exactly what you want on a warm island day. Truthfully, I've been gatekeeping Easy Que this whole time. I only shared it with my closest friends because I selfishly never wanted it to be packed while I was here. But now, it's time to give credit where it's due. If you're looking for amazing BBQ, a relaxed atmosphere, kind service, and a spot that truly feels like a little hidden gem -- this is it. Aloha and mahalo, Easy Que, for all the comfort meals and memories. I'm really going to miss you.

Brisket quesadillas and Mac and cheese

Corn bread was exceptional, my friend who doesn't like it, liked it. The pork belly was very tender and glistening and is exactly what you'd expect from a pork belly. Not only that, we ordered a tortilla dip of the day and we were able to split that on the bill. Name another place that can do that. Service was amazing and our server always asked the right questions. We ordered a Kentucky lemonade slushy which was delicious and got me pretty dang buzzed. At the end the guy packed my friends Togo boxes in the bag for him in a very efficient manner where nothing would spill. Lowkey I'm glazing but ts was tuff. On jit no glip. I'm gay

I was actually headed to L&L barbecue when I saw people sitting outside this place and I made a detour stop. Upon entering we were seated almost immediately. Our server was very attentive and our food came out fast. We got to sit outside and the views even of the basic street are nice. They had these electric fly swatters that really helped keep the flys away. The brisket was okay but THAT PORK WAS AMAZING! The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and actually complimented the food. Next time I'm in Hawaii, I'll coming back here for that pork!

I've come to this location for brunch and lunch in the past, but my cousin's and I decided to stop by for dinner. As we walked in, we could smell how good the barbecue was. It was semi busy, but we were able to get seated right away. It took a bit for the waitress to come back to take our order and food. Also took a while to come out this might be due to our location being around the corner, and I noticed they were not as attentive to refilling our waters. However, the food makes up for it. The two sauces on the table were delicious. My husband and I shared the two meat plate because we were not too hungry out of the two meats that we selected which were the pork belly and the brisket. I preferred the pork belly and my husband preferred the brisket both were really tender and juicy for our sides. I thought the mac & cheese was outstanding super creamy and delicious. The Choi sum was a different flavor with pine nuts and I would get it again. Next time I will get a single meat plate despite the service being a little slow, I would come here again in a heartbeat.

A BBQ place that has no smoke, no BBQ smell? Hmmmm.... Do they not smoke with a wood fire? Maybe an oven smoker box? The brisket flat was tender but very dry. Good thing the sauces were good. Kalua pork very moist and juicy, but again not much smoke. The ribs were spot on tender and flavorful, but very very salty. The Huli chicken is the star of the show. Very flavorful and moist. Mac and cheese is 85% cheesy goodness with a few macaroni shells thrown in. Pan griddled corn bread is awesome. Overall: Brisket 3/5 Kalua pork 3/5 Ribs 4/5 Huli Huli chicken 4/5 Service 5/5 Worth the trip back? Of course! Who doesn't love BBQ?

The food was fantastic! We had the Huli Huli chicken and 2 meat platter, so good! The service was wonderful as well. The place is cute but the thing that bothered us a lot was the flies... ugh! The brought over a fan towards the middle of our meal and it helped a little but they were super annoying!

One of my friends was raving about this place being top notch barbecue and I was not disappointed. I've had amazing barbecue in TX and this place tasted just like that if not even better. The pork was perfectly seasoned, staff was exceptionally pleasant and Plenty of parking if you want to go to the market lot. Easy two minute walk at most. Totally worth it and happy I tried it!! Highly recommend.

Food was on point. Loved the flavors that hit the spot. It was our first time to try out the breakfast since we always to go over easy (sister restaurant). They don't mess around and truly deliver great food. Worth the price... Family of 4 $126 before tip is to be expected and worth it. Treat yourself!

Kailua Hot Chicken Sandwich with Brussels sprouts
    Dathan C.

How does a waterfall hike and bad drivers result in health conscious me ending up at Easy Que? Long story short, an idiotic Oahu driver decided to park her red Lexus SUV in a way that blocked every driver at the Lulumahu fall parking from accessing town bound Nuuanu Pali Drive. So off to Kailua we go for brunch. Wanting to try something other than our normal brunch routines (no offense Over Easy, Banyan Craft Kitchen, Kalapawai, and Boots and Kimo, you're all great!), we decided on Easy Que. I've driven past it many times but never sampled their offerings. Needless to say, I was very happy we just did a hike as Easy Que is seriously heavy food. We got the Kailua Hot Chicken Sandwich with Brussels sprouts and the Three Little Pigs Sandwich with mac and cheese. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious, crispy and flavorful with lots of juicy chicken. The breading to meat ratio perfect and the spice was balanced. Lettuce was crisp and the bun was soft. The three little pigs sandwich came with bacon, Portuguese sausage and Kalua pork as the three little pigs. It also came with fried onion strips and classic bbq sauce. The stand-out was the Kalua pork which was tender, juicy, and extra flavorful. Neither of the sandwiches needed any extra sauce, but Easy Que provides three home made sauces, the classic BBQ, crack seed hot sauce, and a Thai green stye chili sauce. I preferred the first two, but my partner loved the Thai style sauce. As for the sides, the shells in mac and cheese were a bit overcooked but were covered in a balanced cheese sauce. The dairy also can help cut the heat if you go overboard on the spice. The Brussels sprouts reinforced my belief that you can't make Brussels sprouts taste good without making them extra unhealthy as these were covered in a fatty, sugary sauce. Delicious, but basically devoid of any health benefits. Don't pretend you're eating healthy by eating these. We also got the grilled corn bread with honey butter which was also delicious. Parking is shared and can be a struggle. Staff are polite and efficient. Bathroom is clean. Just make sure your driver is awake and good to drive because this place is Kanak Attack made manifest. My partner knocked out after the meal, going full blown passenger princess Sleeping Beauty all the way back into town.

If you're a local Hawaii resident and tried this place's food- please let me know if you think their food is worth the price? Thank you!

It is 100% percent worth it! I go here once a week and take all my visitors here. Their Thursday $5 slushes are the bomb! Call and make a reservation and also reserve some burnt ends, they're the best pupu around!

Do you have any gluten free options? Does your chili have pork in it? Also are the ribs beef or pork?

Yes all of our main proteins are gluten free except the Kalbi brisket. All 3 BBQ sauces are gluten free. Brussel sprouts, corn, rice, braised red cabbage, creamy slaw,…

    Do they do Takeout?

    Yes!

Anything on the menu peanut and egg free?

Yes we do not normally serve peanuts at the restaurant. We have many things vegan as well as egg free options. Please inquire with server when dining with us.

Is anything here gluten free? Cornbread? Meats?? Sides? Thanks.

Yes for dinner we have many gluten free options including meats - brisket, chicken wings, pork belly, ribs cauliflower. All sauces and sides - white rice, corn, Brussels sprouts, baked beans, pickled okra, creamy slaw. Cornbread is not gluten…

Very savory and the best part is you don't have to wait around in line for a food truck event to come up just to get your burger fix. I have NO idea what they put in this burger but it's brok da mout. It's SO cheap too. For their plates, they have mini and regular options...which is perfect when you're not ready to commit to a whole plate. The food is made fast and it tastes consistent every single time. They got their system down to a T. I got the BBQ Chicken mini and honestly, this is fully enough to fill you up. They're generous with the chicken, rice and mac. They really remind me of my family when it comes to portioning food...eat eat eat up and grow big. That is a VIBE. For the price of the plates with the briskets, was either too pricey for the serving, or they coulda add more for the price. The pulehu serving, we all agreed is worth the price. The did hook us up with some fatty pieces tho. You should ask, unless you like lean lol (ain't nothing lean on this side lol) the wife expressed how she really liked the lamb. She likes her lamb chops, and she normally loves them from Texas de Brazil, but she said the lamb chop here was better, which I find surprising! So for all you lamb chop lovahz, go check em out guys. So back to my brisket plate, was good. It was filling, but I just think that for the price, should add more serving. Normally plate lunch come with 2 scoop rice, only had 1 scoop rice. Could use one more. Had Mac, but I didn't like it. And then came with like a small side scoop of pickled onions and cabbage, and a choice of bbq sauce on the side. Customer service was great. They was all nice. The best part was their cooler of desserts!!! Omg... I spocked the brownie mochi poke and I just had to. We tried it right there, and mannnnn that was so bomb. Was pretty pricey, $10+ each for those small size containers, but it was sooooooo good!!! Would we come here again? Yeah probably if we craving Texas bbq.

Sandwiches, burgers, poke, bowls of various types, coffee, all kinds of bevs. Anything that you could desire to keep you sustained during a day of sun burns and big waves. I can't recall the names of the bowls that we got, but they were exactly what we were looking for. Incredibly generous portions at reasonable prices, and the highest quality of ingredients. I'm pretty sure they gave me an entire fish, and I ate the whole thing. The garlic shrimp that fantastic, and smothered in that buttery-garlic goodness. Compliments to our waiter, Stacen. He was extremely friendly and helpful. My parents recommend the poke nachos. My mom really liked the fish tacos. "They were excellent", she said. My dad loved the caesar salad. "The hardboiled egg and delicately sliced avocado was a nice touch", my dad said. My sister loved the buttered pasta with Parmesan cheese. She said they put the perfect amount of cheese. I got the pasta with red sauce. It was delicious. I loved it. The red sauce was really good. Lastly, my sister and I got dessert. It was hard to choose which one we wanted, but finally, we decided to try the s'more brownie a la mode. It was amazing. My mom said that it was the best s'more brownie that she ever had. I agree, it was really good. By: a satisfied customer!
