Did a phone order for take out, unfortunately the phone order and people looking/ordering in person are the same line and they are always busy. The food was good, very unique. I really was intrigued by the sweet potato pasta. The pasta sauce was personally a little rich and not too much protein (shrimps) in the whole pasta but they give a good amount of pasta. The short rib was good and soft but a little fatty/greasy for the overall plate but had good flavor. The desserts were good, I personally liked the matcha cheesecake.
Came by after hearing so many great things about this place from a couple of my friends, and I'm so glad I finally tried it! The lady at the register, who I believe is the owner, was incredibly sweet and friendly. I ordered the Okinawan ube noodles with lechon, and it was amazing! I've never had anything quite like it. The noodles had so much flavor, and the lechon was delicious. Definitely a unique dish and something I would order again. Just be prepared to wait a little for your food. I waited about 25-30 minutes for mine, so if you're able to, I'd recommend ordering ahead. The wait was definitely worth it, though!
Adela's is ALWAYS amazing! Every time I get food from Adela's, it's delicious. Their pasta is seriously next level, and I have a few favorites that I keep coming back for: the malunggay pasta with lechon, the taro pasta with lemongrass cream sauce, and the garlic with ulu pasta. So delicious! One thing to know before you go: this is not a dine-in restaurant. There are no dining chairs, so the best move is to call about an hour ahead because they get SUPER busy. Place your order, pick up your food, and then grab a bench at the beach and enjoy your meal with a view. And I have to give a shoutout to Millie in the front! She takes your order and is seriously the sweetest. She makes the whole experience even better. Don't forget dessert! My favorite is the Okinawa sweet potato shortbread haupia pie. Say that three times fast! But seriously, it's SO good and the perfect way to finish your meal. GO TO ADELA'S, but make sure you CALL FIRST! Trust me, you'll be glad you did!

I thought $30 was it bit much when i paid, but then i saw the plate and it was worth it. There's so much meat and the plate can definitely feed at least 2 people. I ordered at the restaurant and they said it would be about 30 minutes, but it came out in 10. There's no seating here though so take your food to the beach or a park! Wish there were some tables, but that's okay, the food is so good either way.

The portions are huge and definitely big enough to share with someone. It's a super cute little shop located right by Susie's. Pro tip: definitely call your order in ahead of time! They can get extremely busy with orders, which can lead to a wait if you walk in, but it is seriously that good. The service is great, and I love coming back here every single time I'm on this side of the island!
We HAD to add this to our "to try" list, calling ahead your order an hour in advance helped so much. We went for the two that come highly recommended. 1) garlic ulu pasta with portobello mushroom and 2) pork belly malunggay pasta. We snagged two desserts as well, a blueberry cheesecake and their carrot cake. The pastas are incredible, like they have a variety of pastas to choose from, healthy too so you can't feel bad when eating it because hellooo great for your health. It's a small shop but you see the love that goes into making each dish and creating something magical for every patron. It exudes excellence and I'm glad it's getting so much love from locals and visitors like me each day. The desserts were good, nothing out of the ordinary but I think that was my fault for not choosing something different. Looking forward to coming back and giving this another try with my family! If you haven't gone make sure you don't skip this one, you won't regret it!
If you're looking for an insanely delicious, mind-blowing meal, Adela's is it! The portions are massive, the service is incredibly warm, and I can't even describe how amazing the flavors were. I was so impressed by this local noodle shop! YUM // Lechon (Pork Belly) with Malunggay Pasta The lechon arrived piping hot with perfectly crispy skin. Every bite was incredibly savory, while the meat underneath was unbelievably tender and juicy. I had never tried malunggay before, but I loved that they make homemade pasta using local Hawaiian ingredients. The pasta had a subtle creamy garlic flavor that balanced the richness of the pork belly perfectly. Every bite was better than the last, and it's definitely best enjoyed fresh. // Okinawan Sweet Potato (Ube) Pasta with Lechon & Garlic This pasta packed a serious garlic punch- in the best way possible! Super flavorful and perfect for garlic lovers. The lechon paired beautifully with the garlicky pasta, making for another fantastic combo. The portions are HUGE! One plate could easily last me three meals. It was easily my favorite meal of our Oahu trip, and I'm so glad we made the drive. The owners are incredibly kind, and you can really appreciate the creativity and care that goes into making handmade pasta with local Hawaiian ingredients. One thing to note: there isn't really any indoor seating, so plan on taking your food to go or finding somewhere nearby to enjoy it. That said, the food is absolutely worth it. ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY!
This place is unbelievably good. I tried: + Taro pasta with moringa pasta sauce and braised short ribs + Ube pasta with vegetables + Ube cheesecake + Kalua pork with cabbage + Macadamia shortbread They make the pasta by hand and quoted us a 30 minute wait, but our orders were ready in 10. Takeout only, so we went to the botanical garden nearby to picnic. Ube cheesecake was the best I've ever had. Pasta was also amazing - the taro was soo good. Kalua pork with cabbage also ruled. Prob will never find another place like this elsewhere because it's so unique. Hope I can return someday!
Still 5 stars!!! Definitely a must have when in Oahu. Lechon malunggay pasta is the way to go hands down. They don't skimp out on the lechon, portion size feeds 2-3 people. The sauce is bomb! Call ahead, place your order, pick it up 30-45 minutes later. It's just a pick up to go kinda place. The lady who takes your order and is at the counter is the nicest person. They even have noodles that you can purchase to take home.
Do not walk away just because the price seems steep - it's worth every penny and will feed multiple people OR yourself for multiple meals. It's also worth the wait. Millie is adorable and doesn't a great job explaining everything - I get why she needs that mic lol we got a #4 (one of the most popular combos) and loved every single bite. And if it's a wait - remember they'll call you when your order is ready so go around the city or just hang out.
7/16/26 We are so happy to have been able to come try Adela's country Eatery today! Thanks to so many yelpers for the recommendation! Adela's is definitely worth the drive out. We were worried about the long wait so checked out the website and put in a phone order. We ordered the yummy Pork Malunggay noodles and Ube with Shrimp and Garlic sauce! The pasta noodle texture is seriously on point! I would make the trip over and over again. Sooo good! Millie is the sweetest! She took our phone order and helped us from arrival to departure. Upon arrival, we let Millie know we phoned in our order, and wanted to pick out some cheesecakes and drinks Togo! Such hard decisions. We ended up with Ube and Lychee Cheesecakes and both were delicious! We love supporting small businesses! The ambiance is so welcoming! They were so busy and for such a small establishment, was pushing a lot out of this tiny space. No seating inside, small bench outside so please be ware. Many were eating in their vehicles! Can't wait to come back!
The Malunggay Pasta w/ Lechon was amazing. The noodles are super fresh and made to order-- it will take approx 30 min, so order online first if you're strapped for time. I also tried the Kalo Pasta with Shrimp and Coconut Cream sauce. It was good, but lacked flavor. It was underwhelming and paled in comparison to the other dishes. The portions are huge and are great for sharing. Adela's is definitely a must-try spot if you are visiting the island.
The best meal of my life. I dream about Adela's pasta every night of my sleep. I got the taro pasta with coconut cream sauce and chicken. It changed my life, I can't ever stop thinking about it. The only bad part is no where else sells taro pasta and I don't live in Hawaii. I would probably move here just so I could eat here every day if I could afford to relocate to Hawaii. But seriously the pasta is to die for and the sauce oh my goodness the sauce is amazing. The combination is fantastic! The price you can't beat another meal on the island for the price for the portion size you get. It was incredible how much food was in the box! Millie the cashier is the sweetest human on this earth. She is so cute and patient with everyone. Seriously, whatever you do in this life go here, order everything it's delicious, but make sure you call ahead otherwise you are waiting, but whatever the wait is worth it!!!

This hidden gem of a place my cousin from the mainland told me about haha She went with her family the last time they were here, so we thought, let's go! This is a takeout place only. Very crowded and the tip is to place your order ahead of time and pick it up later. We actually shared the Lechon (Pork Belly) Malunggay Pasta. It was a very large plate and lots of leftovers after we ate it. The pork was incredibly juicy and the outsides were crispy. Noodles were awesome! I also bought pre-packaged noodles to go! I had this spot on my bookmarked list for a while and finally had the opportunity to try it since we were on that side of the island. We arrived on a Saturday night just before 7:30pm. There was no line and really nobody waiting ahead of us. The lady that took our order was very nice and I appreciated that they use a speaker to talk to us so I can hear her clearly. I was surprised that there was no seating, it's basically a walk-up counter with a display of their desserts. We had to eat in the trunk of our SUV which was a slight inconvenience for us. We had no idea what to order but I knew for sure I wanted to try their famous pasta noodles. So I ordered their popular combo #2: Taro Pasta w/ Shrimp, Luau Leaves, Mushrooms, & Coconut Cream Sauce for $29.98 and a slice of their Ube cheesecake. I was shocked at their prices. If you were to build your own pasta, each topping is $8.99+. I understand supporting local businesses but dang it's burning a hole in my wallet. Anyway on to the food. The pasta was good but disappointed at how sparse they went with the toppings. The pasta noodles were good and tasted like taro. The Ube cheesecake was a bit of a disappointment. It's a big tall slice but the crust was very thin. It was lacking in Ube flavor, which if I had to guess, comes from Ube extract. I could tell because my mouth was blue after eating it. This place is pretty hyped up, I'm finding it hard to see why. Overall, I guess I expected more based on the raving reviews. My experience was just mid. read more

You must try Adela's, especially if you're a pasta lover. In-house made with local ingredients. It's a walk up place so be prepared to order and go. Short drive from Kailua was easy Food was amazing and can't wait to go back. My dinner partner isn't a pasta fan but loved it too. I got the Ulu garlic butter sauce with mushroom and chicken. It lasted me two meals!! The other was ube pasta with garlic butter sauce with brisket. So delicious. Service was simple. Aunteh has a microphone headset so pay attention and you'll know what's up and when your order is ready. She's very sweet and so are the other staff. read more
Best noodles on the island. They have various type of noodles but I find the Taro Pasta with Shrimp Luau Leaves Mushrooms & Coconut cream sauce the best!!! The Lechon Pork Belly Malunggay Pasta is the clear 2nd . The braised short rib plate with mash is crazy good too. The food is pretty solid and could feed 2 people per plate. Phone in to skip the wait. No Ambiance cuz you have to eat to go. Go to the botanical garden and enjoy the views with your bomb food!!! read more
We decided to give Adela's Country Eatery a try after hearing so many great things . We ordered the avocado noodles with braised beef, ube noodles with lechon, the kalua pig plate, and fried rice. The portions were generous, and it was fun trying some unique flavors. That said, nothing really stood out enough to make us want to come back. The noodles were interesting, but the flavors didn't quite live up to the hype for us, and the meats were just okay. The kalua pig plate lacked flavor and fried rice were decent but nothing especially memorable. Overall, we're glad we tried it once, but it's probably not a place we'll come as a local. . Everyone's tastes are different, so it may be a hit for others, but it just wasn't our favorite. read more
I will be thinking about Adela's anytime I think about Hawaii. I made it my mission to go here after visiting the botanical garden and I'm so glad I did. I could not decide on what to get so I went with one of their popular combinations, the sweet potato noodles with lechon and garlic sauce. At first, I thought the prices were kind of expensive, even considering the price of everything these days. However, the portion was perfect for two people and you can tell how fresh everything was + they were generous with the meat. A pro tip I learned from reviews was ordering ahead as they were very busy. I called in my order before going to some shops to kill time as it took an estimated 45 minutes. I'm glad that this business is thriving, I just wish the location was a little bit more convenient. That parking lot was so extremely stressful, small, and hard to get in and out of. There is no indoor seating so you really just come and pick up your food. Despite the hectic parking lot, I really hope I can go back again one day. read more

After a day of water activities and snorkeling at Kaneohe Bay Sandbar, we headed straight to Adela's and got Lechon and fried rice as recommended by the tour captain. We also tried Ube pie but wasn't able to try malunggay noodle. The food didn't disappoint! We had to wait 40 mins to get our food so after ordering we went to do some quick shopping to a nearby Target. We had a picnic and ate our food at the nearby botanical with amazing views (as recommended by the tour captain). Short and sweet and but an equally beautiful experience. Adela's is one of those places that completely lives up to the hype. The food is consistently delicious, and those handmade noodles are the star of the show. This visit we ordered the Combo #1 Garlic Ulu Noodles with Portobello Mushrooms and the #4 Lechon (Pork Belly) with Malunggay Noodles. There were four of us with three little ones and this was enough to feed us all! The noodles were cooked perfectly as always, with great texture and flavor in every bite. A little tip: I always order ahead and time my arrival, just in case there's a long line. It makes the experience even smoother and lets me get straight to the important part, eating! Also, Adela's is takeout only. The good news is there are plenty of nearby spots where you can stop, eat, and enjoy your meal while taking in the island atmosphere. I wish I had remembered to take pictures of the food before we devoured it, but it disappeared way too fast. Thankfully, I did get a photo of the desserts display, which are every bit as amazing as the noodles. We tried the Ube Cheesecake and Passionfruit Cheesecake this time. Both were fantastic, but my favorites so far are still the Ube and Guava cheesecakes. Definitely put this place on your list of places to eat while you're here. The handmade noodles alone are worth the trip, and don't leave without dessert! read more

A coworker was raving about this place and it had been burned into my memory as a "must try" if we were ever in the area, so when we had an event to go to nearby recently we made sure to swing by. We went on a Saturday around 11:30, and it must have been the perfect time to go because the parking lot was half empty and we walked in and placed our order without anyone else in line or waiting outside. We were told that it would be up to a half hour wait, and while we stood outside we watched the situation in the parking lot grow more and more out of control over the course of the next 20 minutes. By the time our order was ready, the parking lot and the line of people trying to get in to place and pick up orders was crazy. The consensus from other people I talked to that were regulars and picking up orders was to call ahead and place your order, which we will do the next time we go, having just been lucky on our first visit. There were so many options on the menu that we decided to take the easy route and order from their list of most popular combinations. We ordered the Garlic Ulu Pasta with portobello mushrooms and the Ube Pasta with lechon and garlic sauce. We also indulged and ordered the guava and blueberry cheesecake. The garlic ulu pasta with mushrooms was fantastic, but the ube pasta with lechon stole the show. It's worth the trip for the lechon alone, which is quite possibly the best I've ever had. The price per plate is expensive on paper, but the portions are very generous and can easily be shared by 3-4 people, which seems to be the intention because they ask if you need extra plates to share when you pick up your order. The cheesecakes were also great, if you're in the mood for something sweet. Be aware that the parking lot is very small. When it got busy it became a mess of people trying to leave, while others were trying to come in and force their way into parking stalls. I've never seen so many white rental Jeeps in one spot, and I saw more than one near accident in the 20-30 minutes I was there. The best plan of action might be the advice I got from a fellow local there picking up, to 1) call up to an hour ahead to make your order, and 2) have someone drop you off to pick up your order and drive around the block and come back and pick you up. read more
The food is always so good, no matter what you order. Today we went off a great review & ordered the Braised short ribs w/avacado noodles with florentine sauce & portobello mushrooms to top it off! The best tasting entree. The flavors popped & was so delicious. The mushroom were a perfect addition. Sautéed perfectly & a generous serving on the whole dish. Enough for two! Without Millie running the show on her loud speaker microphone & running the show like the general in charge, she is. Today, the ladies were lacking the normal enthusiasm & just seemed to slowly get their jobs done! Otherwise, Adela's Country Eatery is a 5 star takeout only eatery! HUGE portions of pasta and so delicious! We went after Kualoa Ranch and will absolutely be back. The pasta was delicious and sauce was fresh and flavorful. We also got a brisket sandwich and fries but next time would just stick to pasta that can easily be shared. read more

It was a little overwhelming because they had so many options to choose from but they do have suggested popular specials or just a make your own plate. Decided to try their moringa pasta with the lemon cream sauce and added some chicken for protein. I thought it was a bit much for $30 but given the hefty plate, this was easily 3 meals for me--well worth it in my opinion. The pasta was a bit over cooked but I really enjoyed the lemon cream sauce. A generous amount of chicken as well. Couldn't leave without getting some dessert, so got a calamansi lime cheesecake and the lychee cheesecake. I wish there was a stronger calamansi flavor to the cheesecake but the lychee one was delicious! Service was quick, you order what you want and they call you when your order is ready, if you want to explore around the area/wait in your car. I waited no more than 10-15 mins. There's no seating inside, so this is a grab and go type of place. Next time, I'll be sure to just call in the order and maybe request for the sauce on the side so my noodles aren't mushy. read more

I'd match them against any Michelin-rated establishment and would bet on Adela's as the clear winner! We also opted to take Ms Millie's recommendation and added the fresh malunggay (moringa) pasta with pan sautéed mahimahi, and it was exquisite! The noodles are very tasty, and the portions are big! One box is good for feeding 3 people. There's no seating in side and there is only one long bench outside, so this is pretty much a to-go only place. You can order ahead over the phone and pick up there. The pork belly is amazing. Super crispy skins with flavorful meat, and it matches very well with the green pasta. The taro pasta with shrimp is a different style (creamy) but also super good. This was probably my favorite meal during my whole trip. I'm writing this review late, and can tell you that even though it's been a year, I still think about the food we got from here, more than I'd like to admit. Adela's is a small, take-out order only place, but extremely busy. We phoned in the order ahead of time and the wait time was about 45 mins. We got the Sweet Potato Noodles with Garlic Butter and Lechon. Gracious, it was delicious. Worth every penny. The lechon was crispy, tender, and flavorful. The noodles had the perfect texture and paired flawlessly with the garlic butter. We also got Okinawan Sweet Potato Poi Bread, but this unfortunately was blown out of the water by the noodles. Make sure to phone in your order! Ordering was fast and easy...the hardest part was deciding what to get! Tiny parking lot, but there is street parking available. Just be patient and kind to fellow human beings. Staff is super friendly, super helpful and extremely efficient! Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Oh! I have been dreaming of Adela's ever since we finished our meal here. The pasta is incredible and had such unique flavors. We tried the malunggay with lechon, taro with coconut cream sauce and shrimp, sweet potato with mushroom and lemon caper cream sauce, and the braised pork. The mulanggay was my favorite, and the taro/coconut cream sauce was my boyfriend's favorite. However, literally all of them were incredible, you can't go wrong. Also, do NOT forget the cheesecake. We got the ube flavored one but I wish we got all of them. This place is takeout only and it took ~30 min for our order to be ready after calling in. The ladies at the store were incredibly sweet. Recently stopped by Adela's and had a great experience. I called shortly after they opened on a Friday morning around 10:30am and ordered the Garlic Ube Pasta with Portobello Mushroom along with the Okinawan Sweet Potato Ube Pasta with Lechon & Garlic. Within about 30 minutes, our food was ready for pickup. Heads up, orders are made fresh and can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes, so calling ahead is definitely the move. While picking up our food, we also grabbed an Ube Cheesecake and a slice of Okinawan Sweet Potato Bread from their dessert case. There's no indoor seating, so we ended up taking everything to a nearby park. Garlic Ube Pasta w/ Portobello Mushroom (4/5): Strong garlic flavor throughout, which paired really well with the chewy mushrooms. I originally asked for ulu pasta but think it may have been misheard as ube, so I'll have to try the breadfruit noodles next time. My only complaint was that the dish was a bit too oily, even after the noodles soaked most of it up. Okinawan Sweet Potato Ube Pasta w/ Lechon & Garlic (5/5): My favorite of the two. The noodles reminded me of chow mein with the stir-fried texture, onions, and tomatoes. The lechon was generously portioned, perfectly crispy, salty, and savory, especially paired with the sweet sauce on the side. I did think there were a few too many red onions, but overall this dish was excellent. Ube Cheesecake (5/5): Rich, soft, and packed with ube flavor without being overly sweet. The crust tasted like it was mixed with macadamia nuts, which added a great texture and nuttiness. Honestly one of the best cheesecakes I've had. Okinawan Sweet Potato Bread (4/5): Soft and lightly sweet, with chunks of ube throughout each bite. However, the bread itself smelled strongly like banana bread, which made it a little harder to fully appreciate the ube flavor. Heads up, the portions here are massive. Each pasta dish lasted around 2-3 meals on its own, and somehow still tasted great reheated. Overall, I can absolutely see why this place gets so much Yelp hype. Adela's takes simple local ingredients and turns them into creative dishes that actually work. Definitely hoping to come back and finally try the ulu pasta next time. read more
I think I've nearly every item they serve. All so good. I wish they had an area to dine in. Here are some tips for first time visitors. When you first walk in you will hear someone greeting you over a speaker. The person at the counter will most likely have a respiratory mask on speaking on a head set. I recommend checking out the menu fully before ordering instead of going by impulse and pictures. There are lots of options and the portions are large. After you order you will be given a number and there will be a bit of a wait to get your food. I like going a few doors down to Javi's the Mexican restaurant and sitting at the bar and getting one drink while I wait (only if there are seats available). I also recommend trying one of the desserts Adela's has. Parking can be challenging to find seems to turn quickly. read more

When I say the portions are massive, I mean it. There were four girls in our group, and we ordered two different pastas, but honestly, it would have been enough to just order one. I ordered the garlic ulu pasta with a garlic shrimp add-on. Unfortunately, it seemed like they forgot to include the main ingredient, the mushrooms. Even so, it was still pretty tasty. The noodles had a great texture, and it had the garlicky flavor we were hoping for. Despite the large portions, the pricing is quite high. Our order came out to about $50 (for the one dish) with the shrimp add-on. I was a bit disappointed with my dish, but my boyfriend ordered the braised short rib, and that completely made up for it. That dish was incredible. The meat was braised until it practically melted in your mouth, and the sauce was sweet with a slight tang. The cuts were high quality and not fatty. That dish is definitely worth it, but I probably wouldn't order my original pasta again. read more

Adela's has become our go-to spot whenever we're on the east side of the island. We usually order takeout and bring it somewhere scenic--like the botanical garden or beaches such as Waimanalo Beach, Kailua Beach, or Lanikai Beach. It just makes the whole experience even better. Our go-to order is the lechon malunggay pasta. The lechon is crispy, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the malunggay pasta, which is unique, fresh, and always hits the spot. They also give you the option to have it spicy or not, and we always go for that extra kick--it makes it even better. We love the malunggay pasta so much that we even bought their dried noodles to take home with us to the mainland. We've also tried other items on the menu, and they're all great, but we always come back to the pasta. Simple, consistent, and always satisfying--definitely one of our favorite stops on this side Oahu. read more
