Tried the avocado tuna and hamachi options here and overall had a really good experience. The hamachi especially had absolutely amazing flavor almost citrusy definitely the standout for me. Everything tasted super fresh, and the service was really efficient. I also love that they separate the rice from the fish, which keeps everything tasting fresh and not soggy. Being able to add furikake on top was a nice touch too. My only downside was the pricing it felt a little expensive for what you get. I also wish they had outdoor seating. K.Bay Bros was one of my favorite stops of our trip. I only wish I got to stop by more than once. There's a decent sized parking lot when you pull in, and while the business itself is small, they offer a great variety of poke. I originally was hoping to get their inari bomb options, but they were out of the pre-assembled ones. They did have plain inari and plenty of poke though- which ended up being even better. I ordered a few types of poke and grabbed a box of five inari. I ended up diving into everything as soon as we got back to the car and it was ALL SO GOOD! I would 100% go back again. The team here was also really friendly and welcomed us in. They were the ones who suggested getting the plain inari and topping it with our choice of poke. My fiancé and I have been dying to try KBayBros for awhile now. We come to the island often and finally made time to drive out to Kaneohe to try it -- and wow, it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the Dynamite and Lava Flow bowls along with their inari bombs(didn't get a pic because my fiancé ate 2 before I could even take a picture ), and everything was SO good. The fish was incredibly fresh and you can truly tell they put a lot of love and care into their food. I've had poke all over Oahu and honestly, KBay Bros has officially taken my #1 spot on the island. The workers were also super friendly and helpful which made the experience even better. The crab salad on top makes it nice and creamy while the unagi sauce adds a nice umami. This a crowd favorite forsure and can sell out! First time today. Got there right before opening and had couple people waiting but service was fast. Got 2 two choice poke bowls - spicy ahi/pa'ina and spicy combo/rainbow. The spicy pokes and pa'ina were good - a lot of mayo on the combo one but still yum. Rainbow poke was ok. The side unagi sauce definitely enhanced the flavors so that's good. Portions are great for the price. Place was super clean and all the workers wore gloves when handling everything. The two people in front of me both went straight to the fridge and grabbed like 7 bowls of the inari bombs so def gotta try that next time. Hands down best poke I had on the island. Not a local so obviously not valid but it seems many that have tried this place share the same sentiment. Heard a lot of good things about this place from friends back home and even our guide at Kauloa Ranch recommended this so we had to go. Service is pretty quick, everything is fresh on display and you pick what you want. It's grab n go style, and you can order by the pound or buy a one/two choice bowl with rice. Price can seem pretty hefty, but the amount of food you receive makes up for it. We ordered hawaiian style ahi and salmon poke and maaaaaan this was an experience. The fish quality was so insane, so buttery soft and melted in your mouth. The ahi itself is mixed with onion, limu, house shoyu, sesame oil, inamona, and chili flakes. You can taste each seasoning melting into the flesh. Perfect blend of sweet, salty, acidic, and spicy. The quality of salmon was so crazy that it could be mixed with anything and I wouldn't care. So fatty and fresh, but the furikaki mixed with it elevates it even more. Would 1000% come back here again if I had more time. read more

Heard a lot of good things about this place. Finally got to try it. Great place to pick up poke and fresh fish! Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and quick. The parking lot is small and can be quite hectic. Luckily someone was leaving and we got parking immediately. They didn't have any Hawaiian ahi poke available but they offered to make some for me to take out. Love that they will offer to make any flavor of poke for you if it's not already available! The guy in front of me also ordered a flavor which they made for him on the spot! The Hawaiian poke had lots of limu and it was ono! I came maybe around 2-3 pm each time and they run out of iniri bombs fast, but the staff did mention to try to come in the first 2 hours. I ended up going home and making my own iniri bombs by buying the tofu skins. Wish I had something like this back home. Other ones I tried were dynamite tako. Popped in because of the really good reviews. Glad I did. They had a selection of previously frozen ahi poke and fresh ahi poke. Previously frozen was $13.99 a pound and fresh was $28.99 a pound. There was also fresh kulolo made earlier that morning and it was $11.99 a pound. I bought a pound of the previously frozen spicy avocado poke, some pickled garlic, and I was ready to leave, but when I saw the free samples kulolo and tried it, I had to leave with a pound of that too. My wife's SA highly recommended K.Bay Bros but sadly they were closed the day we found out about them late last year. Knew we'd be back on the island and made a point to head to Kaneohe for lunch. The store is in a fairly busy strip mall and we were lucky to find a spot without having to circle around. Definitely the one store in the strip mall with the most foot traffic. Was amazed at all of the different varieties of poke they had for the day. Opted for a mixed bowl and ordered a little of the imitation crab and seaweed salad. The lady in front scooped up the last of the lava flow but was happy the guy made his own on the spot (added the sauce and crispy bits). As for the poke, it was the best I've had on the island and was amazed at the portion. The mixed bowl was definitely enough for 2 to share. Will have to try their inari bombs next time and would definitely buy more poke to enjoy back at the hotel. Not a super far drive from Waikiki but may check out their other location is slightly closer. read more

The poke here is insanely good and very innovative with the flavors. They offer over a dozen different types of poke in addition to other local sides and favorites. The staff call everyone aunty and uncle and sometimes the rice is inconsistent. One day it's hard and undercooked and the next day it is perfect and sticky. Love the inari bombs and my favorite poke is the shoyu ponzu poke plate with furikake. It is takeout only so no way to hang out and dine in at the shop. When you make your way into the store, there's merchandise immediately to your right, and cold cases with goodies to your left. Cashier is straight ahead, but make your way left, as others are lining up for their orders. There are no seats to dine in, everything is takeout/to-go. Some of their items contain inamona (kukui nuts) so make sure you ask before ordering if you're allergic to nuts, like me. They were very kind in offering to make a small batch of the hamachi for me, without the inamona inside. It only took a few minutes for them to do so. Ordered the 2-choice that came with hot rice with furikake on top. I sincerely appreciate that the rice is separated from the poke, in that the hot rice doesn't cook the raw fish. This place has been on my list of places to try for a while now. I've finally made the drive out to Kaneohe and let me tell you, it was WORTH IT. Me and my girlfriend got 2 choice poke bowls with furikake rice. The hardest part was choosing what poke we wanted because there is so many options and flavors. I got the garlic tako and shoyu ahi. She got the pau hana ahi poke and dynamite ahi poke. The garlic tako was flavorful, fresh, and overall satisfying. I love the thick cuts of the tako legs vs the thin cuts that foodland does. I feel like it held the garlic flavor and had a wonderful texture. The shoyu ahi was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The pau hana poke had a mild kick of spice with a bit of tanginess. The only down side was no dine in area. After a long day at our excursions we were hoping to sit in to relax and eat before our next intinerary. You can sit in the car to eat or drive to the botanical garden where there are picnic tables with a view.
