Ahi Hawaiian (bottom left), Salmon Poke (top left)
    Hallie G.

Out of all the poke spots I tried on my Hawaii trip, this takes top spot. They have so many poke options to choose from. You order at the counter and take it to go. Service was super quick. Got the Hawaiian ahi and the salmon poke and it was sooooooooooooooooo good. The quality and its freshness are unbeatable. I can't recommend this place enough.

K.Bay Bros was one of my favorite stops of our trip. I only wish I got to stop by more than once. There's a decent sized parking lot when you pull in, and while the business itself is small, they offer a great variety of poke. I originally was hoping to get their inari bomb options, but they were out of the pre-assembled ones. They did have plain inari and plenty of poke though- which ended up being even better. I ordered a few types of poke and grabbed a box of five inari. I ended up diving into everything as soon as we got back to the car and it was ALL SO GOOD! I would 100% go back again. The team here was also really friendly and welcomed us in. They were the ones who suggested getting the plain inari and topping it with our choice of poke. This is a take-out spot, and I'd definitely recommend trying a few of their flavor offerings because they have some amazing choices.

@fortunefoodfinds: "We're o-FISH-ally ten days away until Christmas! Took a break from shopping to fulfill my poke craving n' went to K.Bay Bros. FISH AND ICE CO. in Kaneohe for their 2-choice poke bowl. Top: lava flow (spicy ahi with sweet chili sauce, unagi sauce n' masago arare). Bottom: pau hana ahi (kim chee based ahi poke topped with crab salad, unagi sauce, chili flakes, furikaki n' green onions). This place I really like a lot, it def hits the spot!" SERVICE: friendly n' accommodating. They made the lava flow poke on the spot after my hubz asked if they had it. INTERIOR: no dining, walk-in to order n' pick up only. EXTERIOR: in a plaza next to Windward Mall WAIT TIME: 10 mins PARKING: shared lot or street OVERALL COMMENTS: ahi poke is really good. Lava flow is slightly spicy n' sweet. The crab salad on the pau hana ahi adds to the yuMmminess while the other toppings give it a an even fresher taste. Both poke are creamy n' saucy, which I like bc it goes so good with the rice that was perfectly cooked. When looking for poke in Kaneohe, this is the place to go to!

    Hawaiian Ahi and Salmon Poke

Hands down best poke I had on the island. Not a local so obviously not valid but it seems many that have tried this place share the same sentiment. Heard a lot of good things about this place from friends back home and even our guide at Kauloa Ranch recommended this so we had to go. Service is pretty quick, everything is fresh on display and you pick what you want. It's grab n go style, and you can order by the pound or buy a one/two choice bowl with rice. Price can seem pretty hefty, but the amount of food you receive makes up for it. We ordered hawaiian style ahi and salmon poke and maaaaaan this was an experience. The fish quality was so insane, so buttery soft and melted in your mouth. The ahi itself is mixed with onion, limu, house shoyu, sesame oil, inamona, and chili flakes. You can taste each seasoning melting into the flesh. Perfect blend of sweet, salty, acidic, and spicy. The quality of salmon was so crazy that it could be mixed with anything and I wouldn't care. So fatty and fresh, but the furikaki mixed with it elevates it even more. Would 1000% come back here again if I had more time.

Hau Pana and Lava Flow (2 choice)

Best poke on the island and it's not even close! I ate here 2 times in a span of 3 days and would've love to eat another time but I have to go back home! If you think you'd be too full for a 2 choice, just get it anyways you won't regret it! Hau Pana - kimchee marinade is so good with the right balance of sweet, tang, and slight heat. The crab salad on top makes it nice and creamy while the unagi sauce adds a nice umami. This a crowd favorite forsure and can sell out! Lava Flow - something more creamy and sweet with the sweet chilli sauce marinade, the crispy masago arare makes for great texture too!

First time today. Got there right before opening and had couple people waiting but service was fast. Got 2 two choice poke bowls - spicy ahi/pa'ina and spicy combo/rainbow. The spicy pokes and pa'ina were good - a lot of mayo on the combo one but still yum. Rainbow poke was ok. The side unagi sauce definitely enhanced the flavors so that's good. Portions are great for the price. Place was super clean and all the workers wore gloves when handling everything. The two people in front of me both went straight to the fridge and grabbed like 7 bowls of the inari bombs so def gotta try that next time. Also seen couple guys order the lomi oio I think so that must be super good also.

Came back twice on my trip, was so good and will visit again! So many options to select from. Super friendly staff but my favorites were def the ahi options : lava flow and pau'hana. I came maybe around 2-3 pm each time and they run out of iniri bombs fast, but the staff did mention to try to come in the first 2 hours. I ended up going home and making my own iniri bombs by buying the tofu skins. Wish I had something like this back home. Other ones I tried were dynamite tako. They also provide samples, so if it's your first time and you are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options def feel free to ask. I love the extra toppings on top of the poke. 10000/10 place for me.

    Kulolo
    Sheila A.

Popped in because of the really good reviews. Glad I did. They had a selection of previously frozen ahi poke and fresh ahi poke. Previously frozen was $13.99 a pound and fresh was $28.99 a pound. There was also fresh kulolo made earlier that morning and it was $11.99 a pound. I bought a pound of the previously frozen spicy avocado poke, some pickled garlic, and I was ready to leave, but when I saw the free samples kulolo and tried it, I had to leave with a pound of that too. A person taking my order was very friendly and they were fast. The place is clean, but there's no place to sit down and eat there. It's strictly takeout. Lots of parking.

2 choice poke ( pa'ina and garlic shrimp) and spicy ahi inari bomb.

OH. MY. GOD. Their Pa'ina poke (yuzu shoyu ahi with crab) IS SO GOOD. GO GET IT RIGHT NOW. The service was awesome they let us sample EVERYTHING. Like they kept pushing us to sample everything cuz we kept saying everything looked good and couldn't choose haha. Super good vibes and really helpful and informative. The spicy ahi inari bombs are ginormous too, highly recommend. So glad they have a second location closer to me, I'm begging ya'll to open a third location in town! PS get the chili pepper water it's not too spicy but it tastes gooooood

We stopped by K Bay Bros around 5 pm on a Wednesday, and it wasn't busy at all, perfect timing! The staff were super patient and friendly while I tried to decide what to get (so many good options). We ordered the Kulolo Poke, Fresh Ahi Hawaiian, Dynamite Poke, and Spicy Combo, plus a Crab Roll on the side for $2.50. Every single thing was delicious! The Kulolo Poke was to die for, sweet but not too much, just the right balance. The other poke flavors were fresh and full of flavor. The crab roll was a nice little snack to go with everything. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to when I'm craving good poke and chill vibes.

    Spicy Tuna & Ginger Wasabi
    Kristina C.

Came here because of TikTok but also was in the area! ***What I ordered ~ **Spicy Ahi (9/10) ~ If I had to recommend one thing. I would ONLY recommend the spicy ahi. The fish tasted really good, the sauce had the perfect kick to it, and the arare topping gave it a nice crunchy texture. Just get it, you won't regret it. **Ginger Wasabi (3/10) ~ I was shocked that this tasted pretty bad. It had a very fishy/bitter taste that you couldn't really get off your tongue. But the ginger topping/sauce was okay. Overall, Just get the spicy tuna with the arare. I would totally come back for that one only!!

My wife's SA highly recommended K.Bay Bros but sadly they were closed the day we found out about them late last year. Knew we'd be back on the island and made a point to head to Kaneohe for lunch. The store is in a fairly busy strip mall and we were lucky to find a spot without having to circle around. Definitely the one store in the strip mall with the most foot traffic. Was amazed at all of the different varieties of poke they had for the day. Opted for a mixed bowl and ordered a little of the imitation crab and seaweed salad. The lady in front scooped up the last of the lava flow but was happy the guy made his own on the spot (added the sauce and crispy bits). As for the poke, it was the best I've had on the island and was amazed at the portion. The mixed bowl was definitely enough for 2 to share. Will have to try their inari bombs next time and would definitely buy more poke to enjoy back at the hotel. Not a super far drive from Waikiki but may check out their other location is slightly closer.

They do have a large parking lot. They don't do reservations. But this is less of a problem here then other places. They do have one of the best waiting areas I've ever seen, as well as a bar area, to wait in, so you are not hovering over others as they eat. You can also order drinks and apps in the area. Their mango margarita was standout, "it tastes just like a mango!" The restaurant appears to be arranged so that most tables have some of a view of their open patio. Even with the rain, it was lovely, and they lit touches as it grew dark. The menu is the right size, I think a more focused menu lends to better food. We had difficulty deciding as everything sounded great. We started with their poke, very good, and nicely presented. I had the grilled fish, which was great, and my friends had two very different steaks. One got the prime rib, and it was on theme for our dinosaur tour at the ranch. We did a walk-in and the wait was a little over an hour, which sucked, but it wasn't as bad since we sat in the lounge area, ordered apps, and our server there was super nice and attentive. Once we got seated, our server was kind, just a bit quiet/reserved. Only got talkative when he as trying to upsell the dessert. The food though... very mid. I asked for medium rare and got a steak that was clearly undercooked--cold in the center and no flavor at all. We had waited so long I figured I'd just take it back to my room and cook it more myself. I literally had to dip it into my husband's chicken plate sauce just to get some taste. For apps, we got the spicy poke, ceviche, and garlic bread. The "spicy" poke wasn't spicy, and the ceviche had basically no flavor. Garlic bread was okay, and the house bread was warm and soft, but everything else just felt really underwhelming. I didn't even wanna bother order dessert because I couldn't take being disappointed again. Nothing was nasty, just no flavor AT ALL and nothing stood out. You're mostly paying for the view. It's cute, but unless you make a reservation and go just for that, I'd save your time and money. Don't be like me and spend almost 200$ for food with no flavor.

You can choose your broth and then first round of meats using the paper. You then go to the self-serve bar to get snow crab legs, veggies, noodles, tofu, seafood, sauces, and other items. The broth came in personal pots and took a little while to heat up and boil. Meats come fast after ordering. The self-serve bar items looked fresh and were in quantities where it seemed like they were changed often. The only thing I noticed was that the thai basil in the sauce section was mostly wilted and brown/black. Other items looked clean and fresh. The snow crab legs were fresh and tasted great. The meats were thinly sliced and were really delicious. I got the tom yum base and it was a very subtle broth and you could taste the lemon inside it. It was refreshing and light. I saw in the corner that they have an ice chest with ice pops inside and it was a good way to cool down after eating hot pot. Servers came by to take more orders for more meat and clear plates here and there. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would be back again when I have a craving for hot pot.

I was a little sad that my favorite server was not working. Maybe I'll see her next time! I decided on Udon. The broth is really good and warms the soul! I also got my usual, inari and an eel roll. Both very good! Would've had green tea, but it was late and it would've kept me up. The young servers working were all very friendly. I do remember when they were at the other smaller location, which was when I first discovered them. Good times! Mahalo again Kenko Ya!

I usually order their combination meal with butterfish, mochiko chicken and shrimp & vegetable tempura. Their butterfish is moist and has great flavor. The mochiko chicken here is one of my favorites and they give you a lot! I have enough for leftovers the next day. The shrimp & vegetable tempura has a nice light and crispy batter and they give quite a lot of veggies with two big pieces of shrimp! At our recent visit with got spicy ahi which was quite spicy but still tasty! The service is really good, with the servers being very attentive. I definitely recommend this spot if you're craving Japanese food!

This was probably my favorite meal during my whole trip. I'm writing this review late, and can tell…read moreyou that even though it's been a year, I still think about the food we got from here, more than I'd like to admit. Adela's is a small, take-out order only place, but extremely busy. We phoned in the order ahead of time and the wait time was about 45 mins. We got the Sweet Potato Noodles with Garlic Butter and Lechon. Gracious, it was delicious. Worth every penny. The lechon was crispy, tender, and flavorful. The noodles had the perfect texture and paired flawlessly with the garlic butter. We also got Okinawan Sweet Potato Poi Bread, but this unfortunately was blown out of the water by the noodles. I would not order the bread again, but would instead order 2 plates of food for myself, diets be damned. Easiest 5/5 of my life.

They indeed seemed to be very popular as I could see how busy the place was when we picked up ours. It's also a to-go concept only so we enjoyed our pasta at the bench right next to the venue. The pasta was organic and all homemade from peculiar natural ingredients including moringa, taro, sweet potato, bread fruit, avocado, and local saimin. The one serving us was so nice and attentive, which indeed seemed to be needed here given how rich selections they offered. You got the option to pick your own choice of pasta, sauce, and protein or went for their combo. We opted for the latter as we got their Lechon Malunggay Pasta, which was Moringa pasta with roasted pork belly. Portion was HUGEEE and certainly shareable unless your appetite was so big. Meat to pasta ratio was also super general. The pork was cooked to perfection with flawlessly crispy skin yet juicy meat. The pasta came in just the right texture and was already flavorful on its own. You could pick spiciness level for which we took mild and we thought we should've gone for spicy. We also got Ube cheesecake for dessert that was also gigantic LOL. We finished it finally after multiple servings and it was still so good despite kept in fridge overnight. Dense yet not overwhelming and the ube flavor was so strong and I could tell it used real ube. This place was seriously MUST GO!
