Hidden gem in Kaneohe! Ordering window is tucked along the walkway between 2 buildings. There's some signage and arrows for help. Can park in the front or back. Food is made fresh and loaded up! Couldn't decide on just one plate each so I got 3 to share.

The Double Shaka was free of charge!!!

No, I'm in my 50's and Mexican and I have never had Asada fries more delicious than this. I've been all over Mexico all over Southern California and these Asada Fries blow everything away!!!

Kalbi fries.. I think would taste better without that weird white creamy sauce

Friendly staff, short wait for the hot / fresh food, and fair pricing! I ordered the Kalbi fries which were a hit. Just wasn't a fan of the white creamy sauce... they even put it on my poke which made it taste gross. Their downfall, is not staying open true to the hours they are supposed to be!

First off, the hype about this place is legit. You can't come to Flyin Ahi and not get the kalbi fries, it's what they're known for. It's always my go to order and I'll probably never get sick of it. The amount of flavor packed in those fries are insanely good and they are not stingy on the pieces of kalbi either! Their poke, katsu, chicken and fish are a must try as well! It's always a pleasure to be served by Shaw. The cooks and service there are tremendous and that is what has been bringing me back to this little hole in the wall. The FOH has not been opened yet (to my knowledge) but ordering take out is still just as good.

2 combo Poke plate......the Best Go get some!!!

Update: was craving Poke. Go to Flyin Ahi ! They have fresh Ahi Poke, not frozen fish Their spicy & shoyu is so good!I saw a combo 2 poke plate, served with white short grain rice, macaroni& toss salad, Taegu online, that was not on the menu, The owner/chef made it avaliable for me. At $16.00 this plate is so delicious& the service is so polite& efficient. They do not take phone order& their hours vary , so go during normal meal hours, 11am -3pm to be safe. This takeout is the real deal@ reasonable

Such a great hidden gem. Follow them on IG so that you know when they are open, because they also do catering. The food here is amazing and unique. The limited menu ensures that what they cook is done right! My husband ordered the fish & chips. NOT your typical F&C, the fish has some type of delicious flavorful sticky coating on it. So ono! I ordered the ginger scallion sauced ono and was not disappointed. AND, the kalbi fries are a meal in itself. A little hard to find, they are located in a breezeway between the front and back parking lots. When open, there is a desk with a bell. Ring and order. No seating, so take out only. Highly recommend!

Small operation with outstanding food. Huge portions. Hard to find but worth it. A true belly buster place to eat.

That fish taco flavor was good and filling

Friendly service with good lunch hours and surprisingly good prices with good portions. The order was mixed up so I'll have to order the kalbi fries again because I got home and it was rice and chicken. The spicy poke was pretty good and the fish tacos were bomb! It's a little tricky to find the first time but we'll give it another shot to try the ahi katsu.

Hole in the wall takeout place. You'll need to ring the bell in the front to catch their attention. I think the person taking the orders is the same person cooking. I only tried their kalbi fries with a side of spicy ahi, and this combo was soo good. The kalbi is cut into thin pieces so it's easy to pick up with your utensils. The kalbi was well seasoned and is not too chewy. I really like their poke too. Lots of fries, good for 2 people. Would definitely try more of their poke and other dishes.

    This place rocks !

The Kaneohe location is just a take out window. But the food is great. I had a Ahi Katsu plate that was enough for two meals.

How did I NOT know about this gem in Kaneohe? More so, how did I NOT know this building they are in had a backside? My mind is blown! This place has a simple menu but oh what, a menu! Ordering was easy and friendly! We even got a buzzer for when our order was ready! We tried the Korean chicken, the scallion sauced ono and the (drool worthy) kalbi fries. Everything was amazing! The Mac salad had chopped black olives in it...who does that nowadays? The kalbi on the fries were tender and tasty balancing the wasabi aioli on the fries. We are definitely returning for another meal!

My husband & I found this hole in the wall by a simple Yelp search of best places to eat in Kaneohe. We got the mix poke plate & the Kalbi fries. Everything was great! We plan on coming back to try more of their food!

While they do have a parking, I suggest just parking on the street and walking up to the place. Signs clearly direct you to which window you can order food from and another for food pickup/dessert only ordering. We opted for combo plate (kalua pork and chicken long rice) w/ a side of poi. Both the kalua pork and chicken long rice were tasty but wished we had ordered rice instead so that i could mop up the delicious fat from the kalua pork! Loved the haupia pudding but wished they would give you a bit more. For dessert we ordered the tahitian sweet lady which was delicious! Wasn't a fan of the salmon lomi as it was pretty fishy for me. As we waited for our food, we noticed a dessert chilling on the ledge and joked with my wife that it was likely ours. Sure enough after 10 mins, the ice cream guy asked the cashier whose it was and at that time was our number called. Sadly, the ice cream had already started to melt. Wished they wouldn't have prepared the dessert until after our food was ready. Would definitely head back for their plate lunches and to try the sweet lady of waiahole dessert.

It's in the food court adjacent to Target. I got the two combo plate with rice $20.30. You can pick two entrees from: laulau, beef luau, chicken long rice, kalo luau, kalua pig or squid luau. I got the laulau and squid luau. The plate also comes with lomi salmon and haupia. For dessert I also got the single scoop of Sweet Lady of Waiahole $8.40. It's warm kulolo with haupia ice cream. The Hawaiian food from this place is delicious. It's to be expected, since the original location has been around since 2009. I loved everything on my plate except the squid luau. Usually, squid luau is my favorite. However, they don't make their squid luau sweet. I like mine sweet. I just took it home and added brown sugar. It was perfect after that. Their Sweet Lady of Waiahole is a must try. The warm kulolo is so good with the haupia ice cream. Get this!!!!!

My Kaneohe friends brought me to Windward Mall to try Waiahole Poi Factory and IT...HIT...THE...SPOT (so much that I wrote that in all CAPS for emphasis lol). I got a refreshing Sweetened Mamaki Tea and a Combo Plate which included 2 entree's so I got Laulau (perfect amount of luau leaves to fatty pork) and comforting Chicken Long Rice (think Hawaiian version of Chicken soup but with rice noodles). You have the choice of Poi or Rice but I got both because I'm a local girl lol. My friends told me at the OG location, the poi is fresh but what we got still tasted super good to me even though it may have been refrigerated. I got to try the Squid Luau too from my friends and it was DELICIOUS. I mean perfect amount of coconut milk to taro leaves with tender squid! If I lived here, I'd be getting Hawaiian food at least once a month lol! To end this onolicious foodie trip, my friends suggested the Sweet Lady of Waiahole (which they got) but I'm not a huge fan of Kulolo so I got the Tahitian Sweet Lady because I love Banana and it was the perfect way to melt and linger in my palate. It was Warm Banana Bread with the BEST Haupia Ice Cream. Yum yum! I'm getting withdrawals just writing this review. ***NOTE TO VISITORS: Stop eating American food you can get at home and please go get yourself some legit Hawaiian food to try when you visit so you can fully say you experienced what Hawai'i has to offer! I also would say that the price for food is a little pricier for my liking for the taste. The food isn't exotic, but it did taste good and their bread and guava butter were my favorite part of my restaurant experience! If it wasn't for the service, I would've given the restaurant a 3/5. Despite the long line/wait, the staff was actually really interactive and proactive with the parties they were serving, which we really appreciated! I ordered a fatty brisket plate, the wife ordered the fatty brisket and lamb chop combo, and my father in law ordered the pulehu shortrib plate. For the price of the plates with the briskets, was either too pricey for the serving, or they coulda add more for the price. The pulehu serving, we all agreed is worth the price. The did hook us up with some fatty pieces tho. You should ask, unless you like lean lol (ain't nothing lean on this side lol) the wife expressed how she really liked the lamb. She likes her lamb chops, and she normally loves them from Texas de Brazil, but she said the lamb chop here was better, which I find surprising! So for all you lamb chop lovahz, go check em out guys. So back to my brisket plate, was good. It was filling, but I just think that for the price, should add more serving. Normally plate lunch come with 2 scoop rice, only had 1 scoop rice. Could use one more. Had Mac, but I didn't like it. And then came with like a small side scoop of pickled onions and cabbage, and a choice of bbq sauce on the side. Customer service was great. They was all nice. The best part was their cooler of desserts!!! Omg... I spocked the brownie mochi poke and I just had to. We tried it right there, and mannnnn that was so bomb. Was pretty pricey, $10+ each for those small size containers, but it was sooooooo good!!! Would we come here again? Yeah probably if we craving Texas bbq.
