Love how the fries are always crispy and the teri beef was perfect! Best to check their hours on instagram because it sometimes varies compared to their listed hours but always enjoy getting their teri fries! Service is good & nice && fairly quick.
Hidden gem in Kaneohe! Ordering window is tucked along the walkway between 2 buildings. There's some signage and arrows for help. Can park in the front or back. Food is made fresh and loaded up! Couldn't decide on just one plate each so I got 3 to share.
Another great lunch from Flyin Ahi. It was almost 1pm after going to the movies at Windward Mall, so I was hungry. I decided to stop by here, since it was only a couple of minutes away on my way home. I pulled around to the back of the bldg by going past the laundromat, and there was plenty of parking. I ordered a Korean fried chicken plate at the window, and was given the buzzer. It only took a few minutes before I got the buzz, and was on my way home. The chicken was still hot and crispy when I got home, and the two salads (green and mac) were still cold. The sauce on the chicken isn't the traditional Korean (shoyu, garlic, ginger, sesame) one that I'm used to, but it's still tasty. It's more of a sweet honey/citrus style, but it goes well with the salad and rice, and I especially love that the chicken skin is really crispy. I also like that they put furikake over the bed of rice that's under the huge pieces of chicken, too. A great lunch at a fairly reasonable cost.

The ahi katsu is crispy n' has a nice glaze put on top. Different in that they are strips of ahi instead of a full steak size, which gives you more of the crispy exterior. The sides are the perfect compliments to complete the meal. My 5 y/o son even enjoys everything too. I'm already craving n' wanting this again!
Friendly staff, short wait for the hot / fresh food, and fair pricing! I ordered the Kalbi fries which were a hit. Just wasn't a fan of the white creamy sauce... they even put it on my poke which made it taste gross. Their downfall, is not staying open true to the hours they are supposed to be!
First off, the hype about this place is legit. You can't come to Flyin Ahi and not get the kalbi fries, it's what they're known for. It's always my go to order and I'll probably never get sick of it. The amount of flavor packed in those fries are insanely good and they are not stingy on the pieces of kalbi either! Their poke, katsu, chicken and fish are a must try as well! It's always a pleasure to be served by Shaw. The cooks and service there are tremendous and that is what has been bringing me back to this little hole in the wall. The FOH has not been opened yet (to my knowledge) but ordering take out is still just as good.
WOW. Really loved this place. The owner was so chill and the food was hot and fresh. Portions are big and pretty reasonably priced, too. Both the ahi katsu and friend chicken were cooked perfectly. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by.
No, I'm in my 50's and Mexican and I have never had Asada fries more delicious than this. I've been all over Mexico all over Southern California and these Asada Fries blow everything away!!!
Update: was craving Poke. Go to Flyin Ahi ! They have fresh Ahi Poke, not frozen fish Their spicy & shoyu is so good!I saw a combo 2 poke plate, served with white short grain rice, macaroni& toss salad, Taegu online, that was not on the menu, The owner/chef made it avaliable for me. At $16.00 this plate is so delicious& the service is so polite& efficient. They do not take phone order& their hours vary , so go during normal meal hours, 11am -3pm to be safe. This takeout is the real deal@ reasonable

The limited menu ensures that what they cook is done right! My husband ordered the fish & chips. NOT your typical F&C, the fish has some type of delicious flavorful sticky coating on it. So ono! I ordered the ginger scallion sauced ono and was not disappointed. AND, the kalbi fries are a meal in itself. A little hard to find, they are located in a breezeway between the front and back parking lots. When open, there is a desk with a bell. Ring and order. No seating, so take out only. Highly recommend!

The order was mixed up so I'll have to order the kalbi fries again because I got home and it was rice and chicken. The spicy poke was pretty good and the fish tacos were bomb! It's a little tricky to find the first time but we'll give it another shot to try the ahi katsu.

I only tried their kalbi fries with a side of spicy ahi, and this combo was soo good. The kalbi is cut into thin pieces so it's easy to pick up with your utensils. The kalbi was well seasoned and is not too chewy. I really like their poke too. Lots of fries, good for 2 people. Would definitely try more of their poke and other dishes.

Hidden gem located in Kaneohe Hawaii. Serving great local food. The hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-4pm. Confirm business hours by texting 8087235308. Ordered 3 plates, Filet -O-Fish with Kalbi fries, Ahi Katsu Tacos and grilled Opah with the Chinese ginger sauce. All three plates didn't stand a chance! Made to order and the fish tasted fresh It's located in the back of Kaneohe Washerette with plenty of parking. Small order window and you'll receive a buzzer once the food is ready. Waited about 10/15mins to receive my order. I'll definitely be back... Tomorrow! read more
The place was a little tricky to find at first because it's kind of hidden in the back. There's a door at the front entrance, but right now they aren't letting people order from there, so you have to go around to the side alley to order. Once you figure that out, it's pretty easy. We ordered two meals and the guy taking our order was really nice and helpful. They gave us a little buzzer to let us know when the food was ready, and it only took a few minutes. Everything came out nice and hot and the food was pretty good. The portions were good too. The only thing I wasn't really sure about was the white sauce. I thought it was going to be ranch, but it definitely tasted different from any ranch I've had before. Everything I've eaten from Flyin! Ahi is awesome! Who can resist fresh fish and vegies or salad to go with your plate? Can't recommend this place enough! I've taken my fitness from Colorado, Washington, Singapore and Japan to eat their offerings....and they don't disappoint!! read more

How did I NOT know about this gem in Kaneohe? More so, how did I NOT know this building they are in had a backside? My mind is blown! This place has a simple menu but oh what, a menu! Ordering was easy and friendly! We even got a buzzer for when our order was ready! We tried the Korean chicken, the scallion sauced ono and the (drool worthy) kalbi fries. Everything was amazing! The Mac salad had chopped black olives in it...who does that nowadays? The kalbi on the fries were tender and tasty balancing the wasabi aioli on the fries. We are definitely returning for another meal! read more

Finally got a chance to samps this place and I got the Ahi katsu plate and added on the kalbi and Korean chicken! Wife got the fish tacos with fries and added on kalbi! Everything was so ono, the only thing I would do is ask for extra sauce on the katsu! Had one line when we rolled up but the line went quick and the food came out less than 20mins. Can't wait to come back. Keep up the great grinds!! read more

I thought the food was good. Fries were crispy, chopped kalbi and sauce were flavorful. A little sweet but good. Fish was crispy, also a little sweet for me, slaw and wasabi sauce were both really good. Great blend of flavors and well prepared. read more
