Our first time here with our Ohana so let be break it down for sushi & meat connoisseurs. A table for 7 and Joseph took care of us. Celebrated two birthdays and we cleared 20 dishes of different sushi-Tom & Jerry; dynamite sushi; Tiger roll, California rolls, Roli Poli (guessing); fried oyster, fried squid, shrimp tempura, Hawaiian Steak, grilled pork belly; Kalbi; cucumber salad, -like I said, we ate! Joseph helped us with recommendations to try & it didn't disappoint. Mahalo to Joseph & crew at Kan Sushi!! Ohhh can't forget the sushi chefs!!!

Food was awesome! The regular menu has all the common dishes. Next time will try the premium menu which has the more expensive foods. Parking was a little confusing. Parking is in the Caterbury place. I missed the ramp so be on the lookout. Once you park there are QR codes posted on the wall to pay for parking. It is about $6.60 per hour.

I absolutely love Kan Sushi! I ate here recently for the first time. It was my cheat meal for the week and I'm so glad we went here to fufill my sushi craving. It was a recommendation from a friend and was also rated pretty good on Yelp. I saw a video on Youtube as well and that's what sealed the deal for me. We ate here on a Saturday night around 7pm. I saw on Yelp that they don't take reservations over the phone for parties under 6 people so we had to do a walk in reservation only. We parked next door under the old Wailana Coffee House Restaurant since I heard it was cheaper than parking under Kan Sushi. I checked in at the front desk and our wait time was only 25mins. They take your phone # so that they can notify you via text message when your table was ready. We just waited outside until it was our turn and there was a good amount of people waiting too. They send you a link so that you can see what your position is in line on the waiting list just in case you want to explore the shops near by. While walking in, we noticed that the restaurant was really full. Waiters were running around and it seemed that our waiter was super busy so one of the managers took our order initially so that we didn't have to wait too long. We decided to go with the Premium AYCE price since we were ready to eat everything we could on the menu and the premium included the A5 Wagyu and Uni. Sadly, they were out of the A5 but we had free reign over everything else on the menu minus the drinks. We ordered about 7 items each for the first round and then ordered more as we finished each dish. Here's the list of everything we tried: Tunapeno Roll Bonnie and Clyde Roll Cholesteroll (Manager Recommendation) Sea Salt Edamame Spicy Beef Gyoza Shrimp Tempura Takoyaki Garlic Pork Bun Jalapeno Bomb Beef Bulgogi Hawaiian Steak Spicy Pork Bulgogi Baked Mussels Korean Chicken Wings Tuna Tataki Premium Sashimi Platter Negitoro Gunkan Cucumber Salad Micro Spring Salad Seaweed Salad Yellowtail Carpaccio Sweet Green Tea I'm probably missing a few others but overall, everything we had did not disappoint at all! All of these dishes were delicious and I'm glad I didn't get too many rolls or I would have been too stuffed to eat anything else. There were only 2 of us at our table and we ate everything I listed plus some I ordered more than once. We were super satisfied with our experience here. They don't have a dessert menu but that sweet green tea was a nice little treat in between bites. The waiter that was assigned to us did an awesome job keeping up with our orders and making sure we didn't go thirsty. The price was worth it at $60 per person! I will keep coming back here and can't wait for our next dine in at Kan Sushi! I already recommended them many times to friends and family and might be coming back with a larger party in the future. I know there are plenty of comments in the reviews saying that their customer service isn't the best but we saw that they actually are trying to improve and do better. We didn't wait too long for anything and got everything we ordered. Food and drinks came quickly so we were in and out in less than an hour. I highly recommend this restaurant to all you sushi lovers. It's the best All You Can Eat Sushi establishment on the island! Thanks again Kan Sushi! We'll see you in the future for more!

What a lovely all you can eat sushi experience! I had sushi with my husband last night and we ordered the Snowflake salmon (that was delicious!) creamy S&S, after rain roll, Bonnie and Clyde roll and a crunchy roll. I loved the after rain roll, creamy S&S and Snowflake salmon! The Bonnie and Clyde was really nice too! I was worried it was going to be too spicy for me but it had a nice kick, nothing too spicy. I was looking forward to the Yam Bam roll but didn't know that the sweet potato was on the outside of the roll and not on the inside. My mistake for not paying attention but it was still good! Our server Ryan was great, even when I dropped two forks on the floor in a row. My only suggestion would be to have a spoon to scoop up the sushi since chopsticks are kinda hard for me. Overall it was a lovely experience with beautiful interiors and a quiet atmosphere!

A friend brought my husband and I to dinner about a month ago. He ordered a lot of food but I must say it was all good! I think the Ahi Tataki was my favorite. I'd go back.

The ambiance was very nice, clean, casual attire. The service was friendly and our food was served fast. Excellent service! It was a bit pricey, but worth the experience. Definitely we all left there filling beyond stuffed.

All you can eat sushi located close towards Ala Moana. We were looking into places to carb up and have dinner prior to the Honolulu marathon close to our hotel. We were staying at the Hilton Waikīkī Village and this was close by. They don't make reservations for more than 10 people when we tried to make a reservation. We walked by the day before to ask and the servers said it doesn't ever get busy. So when we showed up for dinner on a Saturday night, there was a line and we had to wait about 45 minutes so we were a little upset work that. It was busy night, there is a time limit. We had a group of 6 and we went with the regular menu. Our server was great and the food came out quickly, we got some soups, nigiri's, and rolls. It is a good bang for your buck. There isn't much parking nearby, unless you park by the Ala Moana center and walk or try to find another hotel parking garage nearby.

The wait time was around 25-30 min which wasn't too bad. While we were waiting though, we noticed that the tables would be cleared but not cleaned and people are not being seated. We quickly realize that the restaurant is probably short-staffed. When we finally came in and got seated, I absolutely swapped my seat with the one behind me because for whatever reason the back rest had a lot of bird poop all over it. I tried to put my bag down on the bay window and I noticed a bunch of bird poop over there too I really don't understand how that many birds can come in there and poop..i only got a pic of the window where I placed my bag. We finally got served but I noticed that the table behind me received a large binder so I didn't know what it was and I asked and the waitress said that it was just the menu and it's the same thing as the one on the QR code and that they had run out of menus. I had remembered reading that there was a time limit here and that even if you didn't receive all of your food before the end of the time, you were escorted and asked to leave. So I made sure that I ordered a lot at the initial order. For whatever reason, out of say, six plates, we only received two. So we would keep ordering every time the waitress would come because we're not getting our food. The time to get each plate was about 10 to 15 minutes and you can tell that this wasn't just us, but an issue throughout the entire restaurant because the parties near us were also shaking their legs and looking at their phones and asking where their food is. We tried to forgive it because we just assumed that the restaurant is short staffed. It definitely ruined the experience tho. I don't think we saw any of the staff members smile until we told the waitress that we were looking for our hot sake which we never got. Apparently, the waitress only got down the order for the more premium sake and not the hot sake - we ordered 2 hot sake and 1 premium. When the guy from the kitchen came to deliver our sake, he dropped off 2 shot glasses in a box with liquid. We thought it was the hot sake but the liquid and everything was cold. So we asked the guy how to drink it and he said that the liquid in the well is water that was supposed to keep the sake warm but it is now cold. so we were like....ok... thinking that the hot sake was actually ready for us but it was just sitting at the counter until someone was available to deliver. Whatever, we drank it and it was cold but smooth! When the waitress actually came back to ask us if we were going to drink this liquid, we told her what had happened and she said that this was not the hot sake but it was the more Premium One. We kinda rolled our eyes because on top of the slow service, we got charged for 2 premium..I guess she felt bad, she gave us a little smile and said she'll check on the hot sake. I think that was the only time that she actually smiled. She later came back and told us that they ran out of hot sake. That's also when we asked when is our scallop coming in, or if we got all of our orders. I didn't want to order more if I had something coming and I didnt want to be responsible to pay for uneaten food. She told us they don't know if you got your food or not as they only input the order and just assumes it gets delivered. This was our last night in Hawai'i. We were celebrating our move to the mainland after 20 yrs of me being here, a birthday and a promotion. The food was good but the slow service and bird poop ruined the experience. Literally no staff smiled and everyone looked miserable. I felt bad for them, they looked so over it and we the guests could feel it.

My fiance wanted to come here, I was hesitant after seeing reviews on here. Same location where Todai was in Waikiki. parking lot doesn't have an elevator- for handicap or elderly keep that in mind! Got seated right away and service was pretty quick. Definitely over ordered but they don't charge you for waste so that's good! My fiance got horrible food poisoning from the albacore. It already looked off when we got it but he ate it anyway. He said it "tasted like nothing". I know it was the albacore because only he got it and only he got sick. The dragon roll and baked lobster roll were both really good, and the beef belly was good too. Pork belly bao was okay- I wish they steamed the buns before they put the filling in, the buns were dry. Salmon skin roll tasted good but had way too much rice. Crab meat inari was a LIE it was imitation crab it still tasted good but I wish it was real crab haha Miso soup was super bland and had barely anything inside- 2 tiny pieces of seaweed and 2 little green onion garnishes. I will say though the espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had in my life. Great real coffee taste and was nice and frothy. Honestly if you're around here and have no other choices just go for drinks and get a couple of things Ala carte don't do the AYCE option. Also it's $20 extra to do the premium option which is kinda insane for a some sashimi and nigiri options. Regular dinner AYCE price is $38 already which is kinda steep for the bad quality of fish. When we arrived our shoyu bottle was completely empty. They brought my check over after I paid with no pen to sign with

    Olivia R.

i think it all tasted fine for ayce, definitely not as amazing as influencers will tell you. but definitely not bad. the prices online are not correct however. they say $39, which enticed us. but its $20 extra if you want anything other than lame rolls. i think it was an overall good experience but i have had better ayce for cheaper with more variety.

All you can eat was amazing. I just didn't agree with some of the rules. Some in our party didn't eat sushi but were told everyone in our party needed to pay for the same service. Our waitress did go back and ask their manager in which they allowed my husband not to pay for the all you can eat. He doesn't eat seafood so makes sense right? Other than that the sushi was delicious and the lychee martinis are a must try. The photo with my son in it is a hot Cheetos sushi roll . He didn't really like it but the rest was phenomenal.

I got the tasting menu with some sort of Zucchini Bao Bun with a bit of a salad & Brussels sprouts. It was tasty but they served this fried thing -- maybe zucchini? with sauce on top of a half of a bao bun. So the bun itself was dry and lacked flavor but the thing on top was great. The dish seemed disjointed and not well integrated in that regard. Why even give me a bao bun? For the main I had the salmon which was delicious. It came with a wonderful shoyu sauce and a cool rice croquette thing. Fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce brought everything together. There was also a refreshing salad on the side with a really sweet tasting dressing that was great. And the 3rd course was the Roy's chocolate soufflé which was awesome as always. If you get nothing else at Roy's, try the soufflé. The acid in the raspberry sauce cuts through the decadent chocolate beautifully. My friend had the macadamia nut crusted fish with asparagus and she said it was wonderful. Since it was her birthday, they brought out a little something for her as well. Very nice touch. Great service as always at Roy's. If you're in Waikiki and want a fancy meal, give Roy's a go. It's a hair on the pricey side for what you actually get in terms of food quality but the service and the soufflé are worth it.

I WISH I COULD GIVE MORE STARS!!!! WORTH THE PRICE! FOOD AND SERVICE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!…read more Okay seriously, I've been to a ton of expensive high end restaurants and none have impressed me like this Morimoto's. When I tell you everything that came out was amazing.... Holy moly it was SO TASTY. EVERYTHING! I was even impressed with the fried rice with how much they served and how much was in it. I personally loved the fish carpaccio, rib eye, hamachi kama, wok vegetables and malasadas for dessert. The orange chicken was my least favorite but it was still good. Oh and the STICKY RIBS...... you HAVE to get them. So crispy yet tender.... I loved how everything we had bursted in my mouth with flavor and was something I couldn't make to that level at home. Service was amazing like any other fine dining restaurant, but for the first time, I felt like this one was worth the money for how good the food was. I will definitely be back!

My bad review is entirely based on how terrible the food was. For context, we ordered Tonkatsu…read moreramen and Tsukemen dipping ramen. Ramen, according to the server, was the most popular thing on the menu, so how likely could it get messed up? Tonkatsu: Rich, but lacked any salt or had very little. We requested some salt and that instantly made the ramen better. The noodles had enough salt to carry it, but the broth was not great. It tasted like the broth was watered down or reconstituted, however no seasoning was added to re-adjust the broth. Broth: Had little salt and lacked punch, umami, and was brown instead of white. Noodles: Had enough salt to taste good, but was slightly overcooked Pork: Extremely bland. Tasted like zero salt was added during cooking. Toppings: Greatly lacking in toppings Tsukemen: The Tsukemen had a lot of the same issues. Now being a dipping ramen, the broth should be even richer and more flavorful than any normal ramen. Tsukemen -- no matter where you have it in Japan, should be richer and saltier than most broths, but the broth here was severely lacking. For $26 a bowl this was worse than your DIY frozen ramen packs. Now I'm not asking for Japan-level of ramen mastery here, this is after all, just a tourist spot -- but if your Tonkatsu is the best selling item, you have to step it up. Our server did mention that some people complained about the amount of salt in ramen, so they adjusted it. But dare I say, instead of diluting the normal salt/seasoning amount for everyone, couldn't you just add a separate, flavor-light version for people inexperienced with ramen, instead of diluting the original for everyone else? If you're reading this Mr. Morimoto, I would highly encourage you to fly here and order the ramen. I think you and I would share the same opinions. P.S. I've also been to your other Morimoto spots and it was not this bad.
