Small (salmon and hamachi) and large bowls (spicy tobiko tuna and habachi special favorite tuna) -left to right. mango guava ice tea
    Kayla L.

Saw nice reviews on Yelp and was nearby post beach. It's convenient, delicious, fresh and have so many choices to choose from. The ice teas are also very delicious and not too sweet. I love the plain pokes like salmon and hamachi and added the citrus ponzu sauce. But the crowd favorite and spicy tobiko is also very scrumptious so I will say you won't go wrong with any of the choices. I like the fresh vegetables that is mixed in with their poke. The staff are friendly and the prices comes to around $40 for one small and one large bowl with an ice tea. The shop is very cozy and very island vibes with chickens outside if you decide to eat there. Will go back again!

My husband and I made a quick pit stop here before heading to the beach, and I have to say... it did not disappoint! They really give you a great bang for your buck, and there are SO many options to choose from. One thing that stood out is that they weigh the poke by the pound rather than serving it by scoops, which I personally think is a better approach. They also have a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which made it an even better stop. If there's one thing I would skip, it would be the japchae--it just didn't impress us. Overall, the service was great and had a welcoming, family-like feel. I would definitely come back!

Good food, great portions. The owner and staff were very friendly and nice. There are a couple tables outside if you wanted to dine there. Lots of variety to choose from, you don't even have to order poke if you want something cooked. They even have different sides. Overall, the taste and texture were better than average, but I also wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. However, if you are in the area and hungry, definitely worth stopping by!

Poke Bowl - 5/5, fresh flavor well marinated and fresh fish! Bonus point for Coke Zero

A must try! We finished our pillbox hike and stopped at The Hibachi for lunch, they got a little store inside with a deli vibe for the foods. Service was helpful and quick. The poke was fresh and tasty, but I was curious and got the carne asada skewers.. oh man, these were the most tender and best tasting skewers I ever had in my life!! Good bbq sweet taste and juicy meat, polished off a coke zero.. this place hit the spot! I'm definitely making the drive to eat here again next time I visit

Delicious and simple poke bowls. Haven't found one back home yet. This place was delicious.

Kalbi & shrimp plate with ahi fried rice.

The food was a major disappointment. It was disgusting, i couldn't even eat half of it before giving it away to the chickens running around the parking lot. I was hoping I wouldn't get sick from the little I did eat. The ahi fried rice had a spoiled smell and the texture was off. It reminded me of old fried rice that's been sitting around outside of the fridge for too long and was about to become really rancid. The shrimp was overcooked and lacked flavor. The kalbi was horrible. It was chewy, dry, flavorless. It reminded me of swap meet jerky. Look at my picture, anyone can see that it doesn't even look like Kalbi. The sides were meh. My gf got a poke bowl and we were shocked that cold rice was already in the bowl just sitting around waiting for someone to buy a bowl. Also Hardly enough rice to call it a poke bowl. The poke was meh. I would never go back to this place and I suspect they bought all the yelp reviews because ain't no way it's a 4.4 star place. I should've read the reviews because a lot of bad ones similar to my experience. Stay far away from this scam. I feel sorry for all the tourists that don't know how poke bowls and hibachi food should taste.

The poke here is definitely fresh and full of flavor. I love the spicy Thai basil - it's such a unique twist you don't find anywhere else. Service is quick, and parking is super easy, which makes it even better.

    Kid's spam musubi plate
    Jeff C.

We were looking for a plate lunch on a drive around the island and we stopped here based on the good Yelp reviews. We parked in the back and were a bit surprised that there wasn't anywhere to sit inside- it was just like a market inside. There were a few tables to sit on the porch and sidewalk, so we ordered our lunch and ate it outside. I got a chicken teriyaki plate and upgraded to the Ahi fried rice. My wife got a regular poke bowl, and the kiddo got a kid's spam musubi bowl. The poke bow was decent. My chicken plate was very generous on portion but the chicken a little dry and I wasn't a fan of the Ahi fried rice. It had a very "earthy" taste to it and ended up tossing a good chunk of the fried rice. The spam musubi bowl needed the most improvement. Simple concept, stir fried spam cubes with furikake over rice. However, it was swimming in soy sauce! It was like rice soup. Thankfully when we complained that our kid wasn't eating rice like this, they gave us another serving of rice but in the end, not much of the dish was eaten and we ended up having to purchase some sushi across the street at the market to satisfy the kid for lunch. Maybe we got this place on a bad day or ordered the wrong things but with 2 of the 3 dishes not satisfying, I'd take a pass the next time around.

Don't let the name fool you, it's no people cooking in front of you but this place is bomb. When when you walk in it's giving deli with the counter and you can see the food in the glass right. You pick out what you want and then go pay for it at the counter. Eli took care of us. We tell him we never been and we were visiting and he got us right. We ordered the teriyaki rice, chicken plate with white rice and added a garlic shrimp skewer. Are two sides, kimchi cabbage and the Korean glass noodles . Everything was good. I say go.

    Crystal K.

There are a lot of great reviews so maybe we came on an off day. There's poke and grilled kabobs inside a small market. I ordered 2 Poke bowls with four items: Plain poke, spicy oyster, spicy masago, and salmon poke I thought the poke was a bit too salty and a bit slimy We also ordered grilled kabobs with macaroni salad and crab salad. The kabobs meat was chewy and tough

    Katsu plate
    Samantha D.

Portions were large, service was quick but quality was meh. We had a variety of plates and were not blown away with anything. Shrimp was over cooked and dry Kalbi was pretty good, mild flavor Poke was good Katsu was okay- breaking was good flavor was meh, texture was fatty The skewer platter had steak (decent), ahi belly (best thing) , shrimp (over cooked and dry) The garlic chicken plate was more like sweet and sour. The kimchee was not kimchee, it was cabbage soaked in soy sauce The glass noddles were overwhelmed with sesame seed oil Price was pretty high for the quality

    Boneless kalbi rice bowl
    Kenneth T.

For a simple meal after going to the beach in Kailua, it's alright. Didn't try the poke but maybe next time. The chicken katsu curry with sides were alright. The chicken katsu curry rice was tasty, but the sides were underwhelming. The cabbage kimchi was nothing close to what kimchi should be. This was more like pickled cabbage with vinegar and some chili flakes. The imitation crab salad was alright but a little on the plain side which didn't give it any nice flavor. The boneless kalbi rice bowl is NOT recommended. The meat was very chewy and we pretty much tossed most of it because it was just not worth chewing on it.

    Spicy masago and lime ahi
    Serena L.

Great fresh poki in a market like setting. There are outdoor seatings. We tried spicy masago, regular ahi, lime ahi. Everything tasted so yummy abs fresh. Definitely a local gem. And not to mention friendly

But seriously, you can end whatever decision making process you have at this moment. They have it all at KP Market (I'm not sure if anyone calls it this, but I do now). Sandwiches, burgers, poke, bowls of various types, coffee, all kinds of bevs. Anything that you could desire to keep you sustained during a day of sun burns and big waves. I can't recall the names of the bowls that we got, but they were exactly what we were looking for. Incredibly generous portions at reasonable prices, and the highest quality of ingredients. I'm pretty sure they gave me an entire fish, and I ate the whole thing. The garlic shrimp that fantastic, and smothered in that buttery-garlic goodness. The star of the show were the accompaniments that brought the whole bowls together. The ube was flavorful and added a great texture. The kimchi was a nice add too, giving these dishes a bite to balance things out. And the sauces were nice, but not overpowering. I'm pretty sure there are a few KP markets around, and you should stop here before whatever adventure awaits for you in Hawaii. I even bought a shirt because this place was so dope.
