I don't know why all the overly harsh reviews. But this is a pretty good standard Chinese restaurant no frills just good quality food. We have ordered takeout from here twice now. The Hot and Sour Soup has all the right flavors seems to be a pork free version. It also has fresh button mushrooms in it which I wasn't used to but the addition of them didn't phase me. The egg rolls were not greasy on the exterior and had a flavorful filling. Their pork fried rice is loaded with bits of pork, onion & scallion....no peas but I'm not a fan of them anyhow so they weren't missed My kids love the chicken tenders the batter a nice chunks of white chicken inside. The Beef and Chinese Vegetables had a good amount of nice tender beef and was chock full of veggies with a brown beefy flavored sauce. The Hot & Spicy Chicken which was my hubbies dish needed more spice so he added the Chili Oil he had asked for a side of. The sliced white meat chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. This standard Chinese Food it fills the tummy and hits the spot. The girl who answered the phone was very nice helpful and answered questions about the dishes. They deliver to our area and completely beat out the others in the area that deliver by quality and taste. I ordered takeout from here on a Friday night and scheduled pickup. It was ready right on time and the food was nice and hot. We got beef and broccoli, tofu and mixed vegetables, egg drop soup and hot and sour soup. Everything was well cooked, the vegetables not mushy, and good quality meat. We did not receive most of our order, and some of it had hair in it . We called them, multiple times, and each time they were rude and did not give us a refund. We were not in it for the free food, because what we got was disgusting. The driver himself came back to my house and did not believe us about the hairs and missing food, after a short while of us trying to get a refund, he very rudely left and never gave us our money back! Their food is good but their WORD is NOTHING. I been a LOYAL customer to them for YEARS YEARS YEARS YEARS. When I say loyal I even tell my friends to order from them. So my order got mixed up and they stated no problem we will knock the tip off and still serve you fresh food mind you it was ONLY a 20 something dollar order. So I'm like cool even tho my kids and especially my two year old twins was HUUUUUUUNGGRY. We ordered a bunch of food for a party and they forgot to include a couple items on the initial delivery after about an hour for delivery. We asked for the things that were missed and they delivered it. We took the bag and pulled out one of the sauces and it had burnt though the styrofoam and burnt the hand of one of my friends. I've order from here quite often and never had a problem. Tonight we placed an order for delivery and were told 35 minutes. After an hour, we called, gave our address and was told the driver had just left. After another 45 minutes, I called again. Told them the order and address, they recited the phone number back to me and then they said "oh we have it marked here for pick up. We'll send the driver right away." Really? After it sat there for an hour, you would think they would have called! They had the address and even confirmed it when we called the first time. So they delivered 1 1/2 hours late. I figured I would maybe get a discount or at least a free bottle of soda, but no...nothing! Plus the food was cold!!! After all the times I have ordered there, I think it's time to find a new place. We have not received our food and every time we call they tells us sorry the driver it's on his way. 2 hours and counting. Never again will we order from them again. Tonight I ordered a delivery at about 11:00PM and they got my food to me in ONLY 10 MINUTES! My friend who ordered with her meal with me described her vegetable lo mein as "the best lo mein I have ever had". It was a great first impression and we will DEFINITELY be ordering here again. My delivery order arrived 2 hours late. When the driver arrived, she explained that her ticket had the wrong city and phone number on it. Mistakes happen, not her fault, so I foolishly paid. The food was cold. I called to explain and get some sort of reimbursement. WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION?! I have tried to look the other way, so many times but tonight I'm cutting our patronage of this location. Their Chinese food tastes okay. it doesn't give my son migraines, most Chinese restaurants use MSG and that is a trigger for migraines. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants, their portions are smaller and higher priced. Again I was willing to overlook it because the food tastes better than the other places I have tried. My orders are usually between $35-$40, in my experience, usually, they would throw in something for free, Not this place! Issues : 1. Multiple times it has taken over an hour to get our food (we live about 5-8 minutes from them) 2. They ALWAYS forget part of our order.( sauces, eggrolls, combo platter, I paid extra for house duck sauce and noodles NO NOODLES came with my order) 3. Skimpy on the sauces and fortune cookies 4. "Manager" has no people skills, rude on the phone. 5. Tonight's order: requested utensils and to a change to a combo meal... I received a call that there was an upcharge, I requested to cancel it they became upset and asked if I wanted to cancel the whole order. I rephrased it to "make it as usual." The order came over an hour later. We asked to wait a minute to check the order, the driver was in a rush and did not want to wait. We used BeyondMenu app to place my order I called to talk to someone about the service and requested a refund. I was told by them that they cant give a refund and that they would contact the restaurant. I received a callback and was told to call the restaurant directly. I explained the situation and the build-up of dissatisfaction with the service. The food ALSO came all smushed up in the containers. They stated they were unable to refund the order, I stated we don't want the order and to please refund the cost of the order. THE "MANAGER" STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE REFUND AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT BEYONDMENU TO PROCESS IT! THE SAME PEOPLE WHO TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT COMPLETE A REFUND! I'm surprised I never filled out a review for this place. It's one of the few places that will deliver to our apartment. My boyfriend absolutely loves the food but for me it seems a little on the greasy side and tends to mess up my stomach a little. The food quality is hit or miss, it seems like some nights they have a good cook some nights they don't, but it's impossible to tell which is which until you order. Since this is the only Chinese place that will deliver to us, we will certainly be back, but I'll just stick with my BBQ wings fries and steamed dumplings from here on out, maybe soups and eggrolls here and there. The food itself is nothing special, but the customer service is great don't get me wrong. Rarely does it take over half an hour for us to get our food, and it comes piping hot. This place needs to be shut down before someone dies, and I'm not exaggerating... I placed an order for pick up and found out at home that it was the wrong order. I called back and they tried blaming me because I misinformed them of my order upon arrival, even though I gave them my phone number because they never asked my name. I even put a $5 bill in their dirty plastic jar. I asked that they deliver the correct food to me and they demanded that I pay the difference of $7.50 and I said that's great thanks. The lady on the phone told me to eat the order I got because it was partially what I ordered and they would bring me only what I was missing. The delivery driver shows up and asks that I pay $7.50 and RETURN THE OTHER ORDER. I explained to him that he can call the CT board of health because that's against the law to serve food that left their building. I asked him "what if I poisoned it? Or put drugs in it?"
