Food is amazing for Chinese American takeout. I've literally been going here since I was a kid (a few decades). We always get the lunch specials because portions are very generous and lunch specials are cheaper. Their fried chicken wings are crispy and juicy. Crab Rangoon is fried to perfection with a cheesy and slightly sweet filling (comes with dipping sauce). Chicken with garlic sauce is delicious. It's in a brown garlic sauce with chicken and assorted vegetables and a side of pork fried rice. Sesame chicken and pork fried rice is good as well. My son loves it. It feeds our family of 4 with leftovers for another round. This is the only takeout we get for Chinese. They don't deliver to us because we're too far but we make the drive without hesitation for pick up. Food is usually ready in 10 minutes. It's a small restaurant. I've had it several times over the past month, and I'm impressed with how consistently good it is. My favorite go to is the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Dumplings with Peanut Butter Sauce. This review should be considered as constructive criticism. I have heard so many good things about this restaurant in Manchester, CT, I decided to try it. Well I was unhappy with my experience. First the Wonton Soup was very, very salty. Unable to eat. Immediately discarded. Next let's talk about the General Tso's Chicken Combo meal...The Chicken had no flavor, the Fried Rice was dry, the Egg Roll tasted frozen store bought, the 2 pieces of Broccoli were raw ( didn't even taste as if it was blanched). The Shrimp and Broccoli was the same ...not enjoyable. Now saved the best for last. Supposedly the Boneless Spare Ribs was to be the best. Well, they were extremely burnt and the first piece I bit into, I pulled out a long BLACK HAIR out of my mouth. Of course, that also was immediately thrown away with the rest of my food. A complete waste of money. Not the New Years Eve Dinner I was expecting. Maybe because of the anticipated holiday business, the second string team was also brought in. I always like to try a chef special to find the restaurant secret favs and the 3 king hunan was very nice. Open during Covid with sanitizer and social distancing protocol clear. This is THE best Chinese food in Manchester! Some are cheaper, some have better portions, some have good delivery times, etc. None compare to United China . They have the best flavor and quality of food. It is the reason they have been opened for so many years. I moved to Manchester 5 years ago. I've tried most of the Chinese restaurants in the area. Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in the Manchester area, by far! I've been to China several times and ate at some of the best restaurants and some family homes. United China is as close as you'll ever get other than going to China yourself. Their food is not overly salty, their portions are huge, and they add tons of vegetables to your entree.
