Like another reviewer said, it's not as flavorful as other places I've tried and that's okay because you're not getting as much sodium. The rice could use a bit more seasoning from spices but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was also made to order so it came out super fresh; it wasn't sitting around to scoop like other places. Solid falafel and gyro meats, friendly staff, good portions. Came here on a whim, mainly to try the place that took the place of Danny's. Staff was very friendly, almost too friendly at times. I suspect they saw me taking pictures and took that as an influencer coming in. The space is small, but they do delivery through all the major apps. When fresh, the food comes out tasty. The stars were falafel and the chicken in the gyro combo. Falafel was fresh, spiced and seasoned well. They had a slew of home made sauces, each were punchy and offered their own take on a dip. The white sauce was creamy and light. Hot sauce was thinner but very spicy. Bbq was canned, and the green sauce was herby but more vinegar forward. The wings were cooked perfectly. The masala spice was great, but had nothing to stick to so most of the spice ended in the container. The lamb was cooked well but felt like it came from a pre-formed gyro puck rather than fresh lamb pieces. Still good, just more processed. We also got the baklava, not as sweet as others I have had, and the pistachio layer was missing the toasty flavors I really enjoy from a good baklava. For the price, the portions were generous. The cook of the proteins is good, but the flavors are lacking punch. It's good for a quick lunch or as a place for a meal, but there's not a lot to keep one coming back beyond the basics. read more

I stopped in here around dinner time to check this place out. I didn't order ahead but it was ok. I know it takes a little time to make the falafel fresh. I ordered the falafel plate and then sat and waited for my food. I enjoyed the music and noticed the clean decor. It seems that this is more of a takeout place although there are a few tables so you can eat there if you like. I asked the lady who took my order if she was the owner. Great new place to get gyros and gyro style platters. Location has good parking and a small space to dine in. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend you to check it out. Only downside is they'll charge for extra sauces on takeout but ample when you dine in. read more

This was a different gyro spot - some good and some not so good. I ordered a lamb gyro. The good - meat was plentiful and cooked perfectly! No dry overcooked edges and not overly spicy. Price at $12.49 very fair as most charge this much WITHOUT fries. This overstuffed gyro was satisfying. Employees were friendly. My hunch is they're family. Restaurant is clean, and close to my home. The odd - when I walked in front door I could go right or left. Neither seemed right! To the left was a hallway with bathrooms and I think kitchen and office. To the right was what appeared to be an empty room. Further inspection realized to the right was the restaurant. A small register ordering area was on the right but unattended. A sign said to ring the bell if no one there so I did. Quickly a young man came from the kitchen hallway and took my order. I asked for extra sauce and he asked "white or red"????? I said just tzatziki please (later read in a review they also put red hot sauce on???). I also asked for "everything" not realizing they use jalapeño peppers so I pulled those out (never saw gyro shops use hot sauce and jalapeños). Once I pulled out the peppers it was very good. I asked for extra sauce and for my taste it had just enough for the plethora of meat they give. Of note is that thier meat, while plentiful, is more ground than sliced. Another first for me but still tasted good / the same. I grew up with gyros in NYC & NJ and they'd freshly slice the meat off the spindle for each new order. Overall the gyro tasted excellent and was a generous portion. Next time I'll ask for no red sauce, no jalapeños and additional extra sauce on the side. I'd like more of the lettuce, cucumber topping too. I wasn't aware fries came with it and they were just ok - fries to go in styrofoam get soggy and never my favorite. I will try them again for my perfect gyro and get them up to 4 stars! read more

So happy to welcome this restaurant to our town. The mixed gyro bowl and lamb gyro wrap were both delicious. The lamb is chopped up, not your usual slices. I might ask for them to leave out jalapeño peppers next time. The servings were very generous and the prices were very reasonable. We took our food to go but there were tables inside to eat in also. Thee best gyros I have ever had! I make it a point to come here at least 1x per week. I would routinely get the lamb since it is delicious and melts in your mouth. The portions are large enough to get 2 meals out of it. I tried the fish yesterday and was amazed at the taste and size of the portion of fish. I have been wanting to eat at the Gyro Hub for over a month and my decision to try it was based mostly on the reviews but i could never get there during their open hours , having said that i finally got a day off and ordered take out. I do now wish i would have went through and read all the reviews because i ordered the Lamb Gyro, a big mistake. There is a reason for why Gyros are put together in a certain order, ALL of the ingredients were ,it seems ,put on a cutting board and chopped into fine small pieces almost as if it were put in a blender. I have eaten 100s of Gyros growing up in Montreal. Marathons in Chomedy , Laval was and still is a favorite for locals and tourists. Gyros at every restaurant I've ever been spread the Tzatziki sauce on the pita ,then layer the strips of lamb/beef or chicken on top of the pita bread then the lettuce, onion, tomatoes etc. some will add more Tzatziki sauce drizzled on top, this is so you can actually pick it up and eat it without the pita bread falling apart. By the time i arrived at my hotel room 5 mins later the pita bread was soaking wet and it was more a plate of mush and it was super sweet , that was not Tzatziki sauce which has that bitter garlic taste from the blend of garlic, cucumber ,olive oil, lemon juice and salt, tasted more like Maries poppy seed salad dressing. My main complaints are why would someone chop up all the ingredients so fine that it is wet and mushy ,for lack of a better word and what Tzatziki sauce recipe calls for sugar?? I took 1 bite and the rest went in the trash bin., Not a happy customer! read more

First let's say as a Greek that loves Gyros, I was so excited to have a Mediterranean establishment in my town. I noticed that a few reviews were very positive. Well that has changed. 1st: this is not Mediterranean at all. There is never a hot sauce on a Gyro. 2nd: When a customer asks for the food to be made a certain way make it that way. And when it is found to be wrong make them either right or give the money back. Neither happened in my case. They made my wife's food wrong and my food was wrong. All that was said to us was oh. I'm sorry but if there is a communication barrier then get some one that can help. The person taking the order did not. The menus is so limited with what is on the food and you can't tell if you might have food your allergic to in their food. Waiting over 30 min for 2 Gyros is a joke and very sad. The dining room is small and not very inviting. The owners need to rethink the name and call it something other than Gyro Hub for this is misleading for they are not a Mediterranean food the was they prepare it. I strongly recommend not coming to this place save your money and eat at home. I hate leaving this review but nothing good to say. read more

I need to explain the 5 stars here. This is not a 5 star restaurant with anything fancy. It is not the best food or service in the world. But also, if you know, it is. If you have ever had a Halal Plate passed to you through a window in a part of a city not everyone goes to, this is what you got. Exactly what you got. This place is legit. But also, it's a touch better than usual. The hot sauce is not in a package, it seems fresh made and tastes exactly correct. The creme fresh is on point. The meat is exactly as expected. The rice is above average. The service is better than usual, unless you prefer the usual 'window service' style. This place is chill. The 'order of fries' serves about 4 people. The falafal is good, passable, great with sauce all over it. Haven't tried a pita there. Why would I? I'm there for the halal plate, it's like going home. read more
