It was one of our after work adventures I love the rustic decor and the little Italy add on. Gabi was supper sweet and very attentive. The pizza was not really that crispy as requested but it tasted good. A well done burger and shrimp and rice was our meals.

First time eating here. I ordered the veggies platter. I did ask before ordering and was a little disappointed that the falafels were not homemade they came frozen. I guess for frozen falafels they were decent. Rice didn't have much flavor. Hummus didn't have much flavor. The grilled veggies were good. My friend enjoyed her gyro but was the first one she has ever had. Looked pretty good. I did really like the complimentary garlic pita they gave that was tasty

Sometimes I have a craving for Greek food, but options are very limited. Gyro Love was a great spot to get my fill. We went to the Cromwell location and learned they have other locations around Connecticut. Sharing space with Pizza Pie, Gyro Love is a fast and casual restaurant with lovely Mediterranean decor and ambiance. The restaurant was very warm and cozy from the pizza oven from Pizza Pie and the kitchen was in full view from the dining rooms. You enter through the Pizza Pie entrance and walk over to the Gyro Love counter. We had to view the menu through a QR Code, but they had display screens that flipped through menu items, specials and deals. My husband ordered the Grilled Chicken Gyro Meal that came with a soda fountain drink and fries. I got the Falafel Gyro and an order of Grape Leaves. Since we were eating in, we were told to pick our seats and our food would be brought to us. The staff brought us a plate of garlic bread that was super garlicky, oily and addicting once we were settled. The Grape Leaves came out first, followed by our gyros. The gyros were very big and my husband's helping of fries was huge. We took half of our meal home because it was super filling and the amount of food. The gyros tasted okay, but could use some extra seasoning/flavor or tzatziki sauce. The Grape Leaves were served cold and very fresh, herb-y and delicious The girls that served and waited on us were very friendly, polite, and attentive. It wasn't until it was time to get the check that it was difficult to get someone's attention. For operations sake, I think it would be beneficial if we ordered and payed in the beginning at the same time. The Gyro Love side wasn't as busy as the Pizza Pie section where the staff was most focused. We will likely come back to Gyro Love again to try some of their other items... Or even Pizza Pie!

We stopped here for lunch while in the area. They also own the pizza establishment, so the businesses are connected, which is convenient. Hubby ordered pizza while I got a gyro platter. The ambiance was cute, and this is a casual place for a nice break. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our food.

Love their gyros! I'm a big gyro fan and they have the best I've found in the greater Hartford area. So much meat you could make 2! Not over cooked and crispy but thinly sliced, fresh and tender and piled high. Lots of tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers on hot fresh pita bread. We had fries as a side and they were perfect (crispy!) as well. Friendly service and a super clean restaurant that has lots of other good options (including brick oven pizza) as well.

The gyros are not the best, but I won a freebie so I figured why not? Once again the lamb/beef gyro came up lacking though certainly bountiful. The culprit? Runny tzatziki with far too little flavor. On the plus side of the ledger it was basically a 2/1 deal for my wife. New since our last visit is a nice wooded patio in the parking lot.

Great take out. We got gyros meat on the fries a side of hummus and the falafel sandwich with fries. Everything was good.

After hours of contemplating what to eat for lunch, my boyfriend and I decided to settle with Nardelli's. Upon arrival, we noticed they were closed due to Labor Day. Thankfully for this, we looped around the plaza parking lot and discovered Gyro Love. Upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter. After scanning the QR code for the menu, I quickly ordered the Falafel Sandwich Meal (includes fries and a drink) and my boyfriend picked the Gyro Sandwich Meal. We sat down and took in the cute decor while waiting for our food. I also used the time to look up the menu to the attached Pizza Pie, which will be a future spot to try. When our food was delivered to our table, I was quite impressed by the size of the sandwiches - they were big and generously stuffed. The overall taste of my sandwich was up to par. The falafel itself was really good (crispy and flavorful), the veggies were of the perfect amount, and the amount of tzatziki sauce was good. I do think the tzatziki sauce could be kicked up a notch in flavor, but this won't keep me from returning. My boyfriend devoured his entire plate so I'd say he really enjoyed all of his. Overall, I'm glad we found Gyro Love in my town and will be back for more!

I usually hit Nardellis next door in my business travels , but decided to give this place a try .. absolutely amazing portions and an INCREDIBLE GYRO !! . One of my top 3 !! The salad was also absolutely amazing and the fries were incredible !! . I'll be back again , and again , and again !! All the veggies were fresh , juicy thin sliced seasoned meat .. you can't go wrong !! This place is also connected to a pizza joint that looked incredible !! They cook everything in a wood fired oven !

#40 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES…read more This is an Asian-owned, female-owned bakery and coffee shop with delicious Asian-inspired pastries and fun drinks! We came on a Sunday around 10:30am and they were almost out of some of their pastries. Definitely go there earlier. But that just shows how fresh everything is! Firstly, all of the pastries looked delicious! It was so hard to just pick one so we needed up picking 3. Cheesy hotdog bread, kbbq short rib bread, and a cranberry cream cheese pastry. They were all SOOO GOOD! The bread is so soft and the flavors were delicious. They have lots of fun seasonal drinks, caffeinated and non-caffeinated. They also have boba! I got an ube banana latte and my friend got their seasonal Coquito latte which was recommended. Both were delicious (and very strong). The service was immaculate. I didn't catch the cashier's name but she was younger with brown hair. The sweetest person ever! Definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The owner, Chan also gifted us a piece of delicious oreo cake for fun! It was so yummy and not too sweet. I cannot recommend this place enough!

First of all the owner and employees are wicked friendly and appreciative of your business. I definitely got the make-you-feel-like family vibe they offer. It was noticed and appreciated. They have a display of all the days baked goods, lots of different danish, cinnamon rolls, and really interesting pizza-like items. I went basic though and just got a regular coffee and egg and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was good, it was basically a cheesy omelette on a very fresh roll. I enjoyed it. The coffee, wasn't the freshest though and honestly a little burnt and plastic-y tasting. I also tried the blueberry cheese danish which was delicious. What I didn't really enjoy, yet understand to a degree, is the pricing and the itemized fees on the receipt. They are a small business, so I understand the struggles and necessity. However they are charging an "Inflation Service Charge" of 4% on top of the subtotal. My receipt also indicated another "Service Charge" of 4%, presumably because I paid with a credit card. In the end, a coffee, a latte, an egg sandwich, and a danish, 7.35% tax, and a tip cost me over $40. I think to me, it is psychological, while I understand they need to increase what customers pay, I guess I just rather they build it into the listed item price rather than tack it on at the end.

It's not trying too hard, and that's exactly why it works. Feels like a spot where regulars post up, sip coffee, and take their time. No rush, no nonsense, ust good energy. And then the sandwich shows up... and flips the script. This isn't breakfast. This is a stacked, unapologetic morning statement. The Overloaded Egg Sando Griddled brioche bun, soft, buttery, just enough toast to hold things together (barely). Under that, a crispy hash brown doing the heavy lifting, adding crunch and soaking up all the goodness. Sausage brings that savory backbone, while the spinach scrambled eggs stay fluffy and rich. Then you get that creamy hit from the smashed avocado, melted smoked gouda layering in a subtle smokiness, and finally... the gochujang aioli. That aioli is the move. Sweet heat, a little funk, a little tang, cuts right through the richness and keeps every bite from getting too heavy. And let's be honest... Had to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to take the first bite. This thing is messy, stacked, and fully committed to the cause. Not first-date food. Not "eat it in the car" food. This is sit-down, take-a-minute, maybe-need-a-nap-after kind of food. The best part? The space balances it perfectly. Big, bold sandwich... calm, easygoing room. That's a combo I'll go back for every time.

The atmosphere reminded me of another local tavern. Staffed by friendly people. The food was good, and the overall experience was enjoyable. My only disappointment was the lack of information about the history of the establishment. There is a lot of marketing that references its connection to a jailhouse on the menu, but very little information is actually shared within the tavern itself. I found myself wanting to learn more about the story behind the place. I also think it would be fun to add a photo-op area--perhaps even outdoors--with a set of mock jail bars where guests could take pictures. It would fit the theme and add a memorable touch. The tavern itself is fairly small, so I can imagine it gets quite crowded during busy times. Overall, it's definitely worth checking out.

Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
