The portion sizes will surprise you (in a good way) compared to anything else around. The quality is so fresh to where you wonder how this place makes a profit at the end of the day?! I tend to use their user-friendly website to order the gyro for pickup. When I head over there to pick it up the staff are always friendly and quick turnaround. Everything was super tasty. I ordered door dashed and got the broc cheddar soup, original gyro and baba ganoush. The flavors were outstanding on everything and the toast points for the soup instead of soup crackers was just a perfect touch! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fries on the gyro and not on the side. They came a little soggy because of it and I really thought I'd have a side of fries. This place is delicious. Not only do they serve pizza and wood-fired cooked burgers would they also serve a bunch of different varieties of Greek food. Everyone there is so friendly. Even the bread is worthy of going for. The veggie 101 is my favorite thing it is so flavorful and delicious. It's supposed to be an appetizer but I just get that as my meal and always end up full and it's made with extra virgin olive oil which is super good for you. First time eating here. I ordered the veggies platter. I did ask before ordering and was a little disappointed that the falafels were not homemade they came frozen. I guess for frozen falafels they were decent. Rice didn't have much flavor. Hummus didn't have much flavor. The grilled veggies were good. Sometimes I have a craving for Greek food, but options are very limited. Gyro Love was a great spot to get my fill. We went to the Cromwell location and learned they have other locations around Connecticut. Sharing space with Pizza Pie, Gyro Love is a fast and casual restaurant with lovely Mediterranean decor and ambiance. The restaurant was very warm and cozy from the pizza oven from Pizza Pie and the kitchen was in full view from the dining rooms. You enter through the Pizza Pie entrance and walk over to the Gyro Love counter. We had to view the menu through a QR Code, but they had display screens that flipped through menu items, specials and deals. My husband ordered the Grilled Chicken Gyro Meal that came with a soda fountain drink and fries. I got the Falafel Gyro and an order of Grape Leaves. Since we were eating in, we were told to pick our seats and our food would be brought to us. The staff brought us a plate of garlic bread that was super garlicky, oily and addicting once we were settled. The Grape Leaves came out first, followed by our gyros. The gyros were very big and my husband's helping of fries was huge. We took half of our meal home because it was super filling and the amount of food. The gyros tasted okay, but could use some extra seasoning/flavor or tzatziki sauce. The Grape Leaves were served cold and very fresh, herb-y and delicious The girls that served and waited on us were very friendly, polite, and attentive. It wasn't until it was time to get the check that it was difficult to get someone's attention. For operations sake, I think it would be beneficial if we ordered and payed in the beginning at the same time. The Gyro Love side wasn't as busy as the Pizza Pie section where the staff was most focused. We will likely come back to Gyro Love again to try some of their other items... Love their gyros! I'm a big gyro fan and they have the best I've found in the greater Hartford area. So much meat you could make 2! Not over cooked and crispy but thinly sliced, fresh and tender and piled high. Lots of tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers on hot fresh pita bread. Unexpected win! We were on the road from NYC to NH and stopped for gas and lunch right near Gyro Love. Being a "Gyro Lover", I walked right in and ordered a roast chicken gyro. I was a little bit surprised at the $10.99 price point for one stand alone sandwich (no sides), but, once it arrived, it was HUGE! Honestly, it was twice the size of any gyro I had ever had previously. There was a ton of nice roast chicken, but otherwise light on tomato, cucumber onion and the tzatsiki sauce had almost no flavor. I would almost say, less chicken, more vegetables and a boosted yogurt sauce (extra garlic, cucumber etc...) and this place would be putting out legendary gyros! read more

What I didn't know was that adding fries means add it to the gyro!! Who does that?! Never ever seen that before. When our food was delivered to our table, I was quite impressed by the size of the sandwiches - they were big and generously stuffed. The overall taste of my sandwich was up to par. The falafel itself was really good (crispy and flavorful), the veggies were of the perfect amount, and the amount of tzatziki sauce was good. I do think the tzatziki sauce could be kicked up a notch in flavor, but this won't keep me from returning. My boyfriend devoured his entire plate so I'd say he really enjoyed all of his. This place was Awesome... I had a Greek salad and they had options to add protein for $3.99. That's right $3.99... I added shrimp, which ended up being jumbo shrimp that were absolutely delicious. So I see some very mixed reviews here so maybe we came on a good day. Interesting thing is that it is part of Pizza Pie. Same door, other side interesting thing. You can order from either menu or both. So I will say I agree that the chairs are cute but Super uncomfortable unless you are smaller in the back end. So we ordered The Falafal appetizer. They were crunchy and flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was ok. Needed a bit of garlic but not terrible. Two Gyro beef/lamb Sandwiches. The meat was moist and well flavored and there was a lot of it. The tomatoes and cucumbers ( missing onions) were fresh. My only advice would be for them to chop them a bit smaller. They are very chunky as I think they are the same used for their salads. They are difficult to manage in the sandwich. It was still very good. Just needs a little fine tuning. The other two in our party ordered the grilled lamb chops. They said they were delicious they looked to be seasoned nicely and were cooked rare. Nice! They did mention that the rice was not hot but it was tasty.
