Ingredients in my build your own grain bowl
    Brianna V.

I decided to give this place a try because there aren't many Mediterranean places around. I ordered online and they texted me updates about my order. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The restaurant was spacious and looked clean. I ordered a build your own grains bowl with grilled chicken. The bowl also came with a free pita bread. At first I was a little disappointed about the bowl not being filled all the way, but it was still pretty satisfying. The toppings and dressing in my bowl were very flavorful and the harissa had a good spice. I would go back and try something different.

I got to try the new salmon salad and loved it! The new strawberry dressing was also amazing! I just wished their seating was more comfortable that's all. Love the fast service.

Thought I would tryout the new cava restaurant for lunch today. Located in Newington the Berlin turnpike cava is a Mediterranean restaurant serving bowls and pitas . I ordered the harissa avacado bowl which had the harissa honey chicken , feta , avacado, pickled onions, hummus, fire roasted corn , rice , supergreens and harissa vinaigrette. The harissa flavour is a little spicy ( just a little kick to add flavour ) All the ingredients were fresh and delicious I enjoyed the bowl ! Perfect for a healthy lunch ! The portions were large , I ended up eating about half and saving the rest for later . I also got the blue berry lavender drink, which was really good. However the lavender flavour was strong overpowering the blueberry flavour in my opinion. Overall highly recommend, I will be back to try the chicken and rice bowl next

Taste so good Garlic knot so delicious i love the food.Philly cheese steak slider really my best selection

"Promise time 8:15" had to till 8:35.

I love the food here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I placed a mobile order with a promised pickup time of 8:15 PM, but I didn't receive my food until 8:35 PM. If the receipt says "promised time," I would expect the order to be ready around that time. People have places to go, stop the pick up orders if you can't get them done on time. To make matters worse, my order was incorrect. When I first checked it, I noticed my dressing was missing, so I had to go back and ask for it. Then, after getting home, I realized they had given me spicy red harissa sauce instead of red pepper hummus. Those are completely different items, one being MUCH spicer then the other. The most frustrating part was the lack of acknowledgment or apology for either the delay or the mistakes. I was simply handed my food and sent on my way. It's unfortunate because I genuinely enjoy the food and would visit much more often if the customer service matched the quality of the meals.

Amazing place way better than chipotle in my opinion. Meat is never dry. Different type of toppings. Love the prices. Live how full the bowls are. Staff is always so friendly. Only thing is they should try to clean the line more so there's not a lot of rice and lettuce all over it does not look good to customers especially when we have to see all that when ordering. Clean as you go.

Once again Christmas overload did not disappoint! Switched over from the wizard of oz but they kept the wizard in the room with Christmas spirit Once reservations are made make sure entire party is ready to order at once- the order goes in and can't be changed Save room for dessert- they kept the Glinda dessert on the menu!

    Falafel wrap

I've eaten at recently opened Cava a couple of times now. It's a Mediterranean fast casual. I've had a falafel wrap that was full of tasty sauces, pickles, and veggies. It was very drippy, but super tasty. I've also had a Harissa avocado bowl with chicken. It was maybe a touch spicy for me, but again, It was full of flavor and a step up from most casual chains. The mint lemonade was very tasty too. I live nearby and Cava is firmly in our take out plans now. Four Stars

Chicken rice bowl and Jasmine iced tea

Cava follows the Chipotle concept, with 'chef curated' options, or you can create your own bowl or pita. We tried the chicken rice bowl, spicy lamb meatballs, and steak mezze salad. Everything was fresh and had a kick of flavor. You can further customize with sauces, hummus, etc. We had a bit of a wait; seems there might have been a shift change, plus there was an issue with the cash register. Still, we enjoyed our healthy meals and the relaxed, upbeat vibe.

Who doesn't love a build your own Mediterranean dish spot?!? I built my own bowl with splendid greens and lentils as the base then added in grilled steak, plus a bunch of toppings. Just be careful although it may seem healthy, things can add up quickly. If you're someone counting your macros I'd suggest ordering through their website. Although I ordered for a 5pm pickup and they weren't done with my order til almost 5:15p. Ambiance is so so, but it is fast food. I'll def return again.

Grain bowl with grilled chicken. Tye hit honey chicken is also very good.

We tried this new place in town tonight. We all enjoyed our meals very much and decided we will def order from there again. I don't know about the ambiance because we ordered delivery but our order was correct, hot and delicious. We ordered the grain bowls, basmati rice, grilled chicken, pickled onions, fiery broccoli, Grilled corn, tzatziki sauce, harissa, shredded lettuce, .... You get to choose basmati, brown rice, or black beans. Or half n half. 2 sauces, 12 or so toppings, a full order of protein or two half orders. Very customizable and very good. They do have pita sandwiches. Which we will try next time. The falafels are very good. We also ordered some house made pita chips with a side of regular hummus. Hopefully they will continue to keep up the great job! Def recommend.

Upon entering in we were greeted by staff. Inside was very clean. Our order was ready early when we got there. Overall, very delicious. Ingredients were super fresh and everything was very flavorful. HOWEVER, the bowl was not super big or filling, which was very disappointing considering it was $15. Not sure if I would return because of this.

I popped in because the parking lot was mostly empty. It wasn't particularly busy in the cafe either. There were two small groups ahead of me in line. I order my food and black iced coffee to go. I received my food. It even had to be heated. And I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my black iced coffee. Even though there are only two or three people waiting in the drink area. And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. Even though you're one of only a few people in the drink area. I'm not going to change my review score. But these experiences definitely affect how often I visit.

I also got the salted malted hazelnut cookie. I will say their pastries and coffee are probably the best thing! As for the food again, it's very salty! We tried the pepperoni pizza this time, and although pepperoni is salty, it was a little bit overboard. We also tried another salad and again it was completely drenched in dressing. Half of our order was completed when we sat down. I was able to finish my pizza before the salad came out. I wish everything was a little bit more organized, and came out together.

It's not trying too hard, and that's exactly why it works. Feels like a spot where regulars post up, sip coffee, and take their time. No rush, no nonsense, ust good energy. And then the sandwich shows up... and flips the script. This isn't breakfast. This is a stacked, unapologetic morning statement. The Overloaded Egg Sando Griddled brioche bun, soft, buttery, just enough toast to hold things together (barely). Under that, a crispy hash brown doing the heavy lifting, adding crunch and soaking up all the goodness. Sausage brings that savory backbone, while the spinach scrambled eggs stay fluffy and rich. Then you get that creamy hit from the smashed avocado, melted smoked gouda layering in a subtle smokiness, and finally... the gochujang aioli. That aioli is the move. Sweet heat, a little funk, a little tang, cuts right through the richness and keeps every bite from getting too heavy. And let's be honest... Had to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to take the first bite. This thing is messy, stacked, and fully committed to the cause. Not first-date food. Not "eat it in the car" food. This is sit-down, take-a-minute, maybe-need-a-nap-after kind of food. The best part? The space balances it perfectly. Big, bold sandwich... calm, easygoing room. But they also serve some familiar things in different ways. For instance, the jerk chicken and shrimp wraps. They also offer rice bowls with your choice of proteins. The rice pics I saw looked like white rice, rather than the rice and peas I generally see at Jamaican restaurants. I always order a beef patty when I try a new Jamaican place. Parishes' had very good flavor and good texture. I also ordered a jerk chicken wrap. The chicken was cut into small bite size pieces and served in a thin wrap with shredded lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers cheese and dressing. The wrap worked fairly well as a whole, but it could have been served by any number of types of restaurants. Meaning, that I didn't really pick up much of Jerk or Jamaican flavor as it was served. Maybe because there was a good bit of lettuce and I'm usually eating jerk chicken off the bone. You could have told me it was a chicken Caesar Wrap and I would have believed it. Again, it was good. Just not quite what I expected. The eatery was cool, well decorated and had a friendly vibe. A few regulars came and went while I was there and the crew had a good rapport with them. They do offer a free lot in the back, but judging by all the cars, Mondo is very popular on a Friday evening. Sure enough, there was a big line of people picking up orders, but we walked right in and were seated immediately. We started off with a beet salad, which was surprisingly delicious, combining candied walnuts and sweet orange and green apple slices with salty feta and tangy balsamic over a mountain of mixed greens. We then moved on to paninis, generous portions of meat and toppings on freshly baked, crispy bread. One of us chose more mixed greens tossed with dressing while the other chose crunchy French fries. We also ordered a third panini to go, the Mondo combo. We asked for fries; the kitchen accidentally gave us a salad. Our server, Heather N., saved the day by noticing the error and giving us both side orders. Mondo is family friendly, and there were plenty of children during our visit. As such, the volume was a tad loud and boisterous, but nothing obnoxious that would prevent us from returning.
