Beirut Bites ("BB") has been on my radar since I saw the restaurant front near CCSU earlier this year. I love Lebanese food and noted BB for a future visit/order. I noticed BB on DoorDash tonight. I ordered a chicken and beef shawarma platter with rice, a small salad and a green hot sauce that seemed homemade. The food was mostly good. The beef, chicken and rice had nice flavor and texture. This type of green hot sauce was new to me, but I liked it. The salad was the one area for improvement. The lettuce was starting to lose its structure to an extent that it seemed likely mixed well before my order. If the lettuce had been crisper, the salad would have been fine. Since I live in the general area, I likely will order from BB again. The DoorDash order was timely. It's worth checking out if you live nearby. Four stars read more

I got this mix shawarma combo of chicken and beef with rice and a side salad. This portion size is really generous and looks delicious but unfortunately I was not so happy with the quality of the food and the taste. I was not able to enjoy the food, it was more in the rubbery texture and not much of flavors. I was really excited to try this shawarma combo but became disappointed. Tried the Hummus appetizer. Hummus was great, pita bread was a little hard, could be better, I would still order again. Salmon dinner was very good, comes with small salad and white rice. Service was good. They were friendly and food came out quick. read more

I'm Lebanese, and this was not it yall. I ordered a bunch of stuff off of the menu, I wasn't impressed with any of it. The grape leaves had a strange acidic taste that I have never encountered with Lebanese grape leaves. The rice was not a rice pilaf, it was bright yellow. Hole in the wall place with a basic menu of very tasty and authentic mediterranean food. The place is pretty run down, and there are 2 different rooms you can sit in. One has basic tables and chairs, and the other one has chairs that are surrounded by couches. Ive ordered from Beirut bites a few times and it's been very solid. The portion sizes are awesome, it's for sure enough for two meals. I get the Shawarma plate and it comes up to around 20 dollars. It's for sure worth it if you enjoy halal food. I wish they gave you more garlic sauce, that's probably my only critique in general. read more

The food is ok. Service isn't as good. I've been here 3 times for lunch to go. The first time, I waited around 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order. The 2nd time, no one came out, so I went next door to the pizza place. A few weeks ago, I tried it one more time...this time, ordering via Yelp. I picked up my order on time, but checked it when I got to my car. Incorrect order! I want back in and the snotty teenager guy working there said to me, "I don't know what you want me to do about it." Then his mother, I'm assuming came out and tried to make it right, however, I couldn't wait around due to the nature of my job...so I had to come back to get it 2 hours later because the kid wouldn't give me a refund. Again, food is great, the service needs a bit of work. I probably won't come back even though their lemon salad dressing is amazing. If I could give Beirut Bites 10 stars I would. Their food is easily the best in New Britain, probably the best in CT. The service is fantastic, the wrong order was made on accident and he kindly remade the whole meal so it would be vegetarian. I can't speak enough about how lovely the people are, it is quite rare to find such genuine and empathetic people in the restaurant/ service industry. And the portions are crazy. You will have at least 2 days of leftovers! The restaurant is kind of quiet and unassuming but with an upbeat vibe. And the food! Please feed both your soul and your body and eat here! read more

Beirut Bites is a Mediterranean restaurant which is also halal. I had the moussaka and the lamb haneeth. The moussaka is pretty good and not as greasy as that of a similar nearby restaurant. Actually, the food is so similar to the restaurant Madani's, that they might even be the same restaurant. Only difference is that there is hookah here. That aside, a dish that I highly recommend is the lamb haneeth! A large is more than enough for two servings and comes with two large meaty lamb shanks. The meat was very flavorful and tender as was the rice. I didn't even need the included sauces. read more

When I first walked in I was greeted with a warm friendly smile . I came in with an appetite so I ordered as much as my eyes could see . I must say the falafel was crispy on the outside with a soft to the touch bite on the inside . The flavors definitely brought out the taste of the rice . Grabbed a laziza peach soda which is the soda of Lebanon . Much better then a regular coke with this meal. Overall I would definitely come back again. Side note the chairs pretty cool to look at . Food was amazing! Chicken, perfectly slow roasted, fall off the bone, perfect. Great flavors. The beef kofta kebabs were amazing. Service was excellent, exactly what I thought it would be, great people. Once parked, need to walk down the stairs, almost miss the restaurant.
