Beautiful atmosphere and noise was relatively low for how many people were inside. The waiter came and took orders quickly and put a nice shake on the cocktails. Started with the spicy hummus which was delicious. Then had the lamb shank that they hit out of the park. Cannot wait to go back again.
another great lunch I've been coming here about once a week for the last few weeks with clients and everybody has enjoyed it prices reasonable and the service was pretty fast. I got the Lamb Costa burger and my lucky burger got steak both very good.
What can I say every single time I come here? Everything is amazing. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. One of our favorite places to go cuz you can get a whole bunch of things and share them. Can't go wrong with the seasonal hummus, Albanian salad, whole roasted cauliflower, duck wings etc.
My first Zohara visit was nothing short of spectacular! The Falafel was a bit dry, otherwise everything we tried was amazing. The hummus was especially great & a very large portion, we had to take home leftovers. Our bartenders were very nice and attentive, and made sure we had the happy hour menu upon arrival. The location is very clean and elegant. I can't wait for my next visit.
This place was packed when we got there, so we ended up sitting at the bar but honestly, it worked out great. The bartenders were super nice and attentive, even with how busy it was, which I really appreciated. I started with the whipped feta, and WOW... it came with hot, fluffy pita bread and was absolutely delicious. I also ordered some veggies, and those were just as good fresh and flavorful. For my main, I got shrimp, steak, chicken, and rice. It was decent, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. It didn't quite live up to how amazing the appetizers were. Overall, I'd definitely come back but mainly for that whipped feta. That alone is worth the visit!

Attentive service! Great drinks- pinkish red is the dragonfruit drink & the orange one is the spicy drink. The carrot drink is also a fun take on a drink & not super carrot forward. My friend & I split a bunch of apps - Albanian salad, cauliflower, hummus, potatoes, and falafel. All had amazing flavor. Also cool to know you can ask for more pita for the hummus at no additional cost. Definitely would be back
If you're hankering for middle eastern cuisine, this place is where it's at. Service is amazing - delicious cocktails- and a menu that has a little something for every palate, even the picky eater. Whipped feta crudités Outta this world. The roasted/seasoned chick peas are so delicious. Had to attempt at home. If you're in the West Hartford area... a must. Great atmosphere- great bar, parking lots in the area- priced accordingly. Highly recommend
My wife and I recently visited Zohara for a Sunday afternoon date. First class atmosphere. Service was friendly, efficient and effective. As we scanned the Menu, my wife said "Do you want to get the Meshta Feast?" I did! And it was two plus hours of epic Mediterranean deliciousness. A Top 5 Dining Experience of 2025. Zohara's Meshta Feast requires whole table participation. $70 per person. Seemingly expensive, but a good value that yielded meals of leftovers. The meal starts with a salatim, hummus, dip and dippable course. Ours included 7 separate dips and snacks, fresh pita, and veggies. All very good. My favorite is the Muhammara, a bright puréed blend of peppers and walnuts. Course Two includes assorted Mezzes, like the crispy Zatar Chicken, lamb filled Moroccan Cigars, Fattoush and a special Shakshuka. Again, everything was very good. Our large plate course included our requested Seafood Tagine, with almost impossibly tender octopus, mussels, shrimp, and squid, with Israeli cous cous in an amazing saffron sauce. Zohara also served coal-fired skewers of Black Garlic Filet, Harissa Charred Chicken and organic Salmon. The filet was fork-cut tender. They also served a good-garlicky roasted potato and long hot side that was one of the best foods I've eaten this year. The Meshta includes dessert too! We had a delicious and beautifully plated Dubai Chocolate cake, and a phyllo dough creation. I highly recommend the Zohara Meshta Feast. It would be perfect to explore with a group of friends and family. 5 Stars
On a Saturday at 5:15 we thought we were going to be turned away because of the packed reservation schedule but the hostess graciously said we could have a table if we could vacate it by 6:30. Done! Note to self:get a reservation next time! We were seated in a booth by the bar where it was super entertaining to watch the bartenders. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful, telling us all about the menu and the favorites that people rave about. Honestly, after our experience I bet everything is amazing. We started off with a Negroni, a Limonana, and a pomegranate soda. All of them were aesthetically pleasing and delicious. For starters, we ordered the lamb ragú hummus which comes with fresh baked pitas. I'm not usually a fan of lamb, but wow! It was so savory and well seasoned, it was an explosion of flavor alongside the garlicky goodness of the hummus. We received fresh veggies and whipped feta compliments of the chef, and it was so good!--endives, broccoli florets, purple carrots (I think). The charred broccoli was lemony and also well seasoned. The calamari was so scrumptious and cooked to perfection, and the chicken shawarma was also yummy though sweeter than I expected. We loved every sip and every bite and will endeavor to obtain a reservation next time we're in town!

We ordered the crispy zaatar chicken, lamb couscous, meat platter. Each dish was best in its kind. The service was fairly quick and laid back for a weekday lunch. I'll definitely visit again.
This place is the best! Great for vegetarians and vegans. In West Hartford, lovely outdoor seating. The staff is nice and the food is yummy! They have the best hummus is CT! I LOVE their roasted eggplant dish! Great date spot!
I would totally recommend! We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and super kind. The restaurant is a great vibe, can be a little hectic, but only because it's so busy bc of how good it is! Would recommend the whipped feta and getting a few apps and sharing!
I didn't know what to expect coming in, but this spot was great - delicious lunch and lovely service! We came here for lunch on a Saturday around brunch time and it was busy, but we got a spot at the bar and they still had a few extra seats. Menu had a good selection of sharables all for decent prices and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time while being super fresh. Hummus was amazing - super great to dip the bread in. Sizes of the dishes were just right, a little small for me but average I'm sure for others. Shrimp and mussels were great whole the artichoke was okay - would probably skip that next time. Uggghhh, so good. The people are great, the food is great, and the vibe is great. I love Mediterranean food, but there are a few things I usually do not eat, and hummus and beets are both on that list. That said, the hummus was sensational. I absolutely need it again right now. The beet dip was also good, which says a lot coming from someone who does not usually like beets. They had many gluten-free options, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to explain what I could and could not have, which I always appreciate as someone who is gluten-free. The decor is lovely, and the space could work for so many different occasions, from a date night to a celebration with friends or family. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would definitely return. read more

The food and service was definitely really good, and I love that about this place. But my main difference with the tagine is the plating is very different it doesn't come in the same bowl it's served in. I went to Morocco recently and actually had it there in the bowl it was cooked in. read more

My husband and I came here for a date night while visiting Hartford from Boston, and it did not disappoint. We weren't starving, but we wanted to explore the local food scene after seeing this spot on Instagram--and we're so glad we did. The food was excellent. The chicken shawarma was incredibly flavorful, and I ordered a shrimp dish that had just the right amount of heat--perfectly balanced without being overpowering. Looking around, it was clear we picked a good place--so many tables were filled with authentic dishes, and the lamb shank seemed especially popular. Service was a highlight. Our waiter was fantastic--he walked us through the menu and helped us choose dishes based on our preferences, which made the experience feel thoughtful and personalized. Despite it being a packed Friday night, we were seated quickly, and the food came out fast. That said, I'd recommend making a reservation since it does get busy. The only downside was that the dining area was a bit loud, but not enough to take away from the overall experience. Overall, a great spot for a date night or a lively dinner out. I've come here plenty of times and it's one of the best restaurants of West Hartford. Probably my favorite. The food is very fresh, very flavorful, and I haven't had anything I disliked. The roasted cauliflower is huge and delicious. The shrimp is full of flavor and finger licking good haha. The drinks are thought out. Although I usually order wine. Metered parking all around. Excellent Mediterranean spot right in downtown West Hartford! Make a reservation as it gets packed. Cute decor and very lively and bubbly atmosphere. It is pricer and tapas style, so expect to order a variety of dishes to share. The standout dish was the mussels! A must get, especially with the sauce. Beautiful day today to have lunch outside . We stopped into Zohar's for a light lunch after walking around west Hartford center . We sat by the windows to get some fresh air , but they also have outdoor seating and seating by the chefs so you can watch the chefs cook! Our waitress was lovely and very helpful she suggested the lamb ragu hummus and it was amazing !!! Definitely recommend if you eat here to get the hummus !! We also ordered the lamb meatballs with spaghetti squash . Which were fantastic cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious . My favourite was the za'atra chicken . Crispy chicken with a tomato based sause .. nice and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! Tasted amazing. Highly recommend ! Everything was 10/10. We were so full with just the small plates . I can't wait to be back and try more of the other dishes. read more
I came here for a sister date on Saturday, as it's one of my sister's and my favorite place in WeHa. We settled at the bar and enjoyed some delicious food and drinks while catching up. Service was prompt and friendly. The lamb humus was delicious and paired perfectly with the veggies. read more
There was not a single thing that was mediocre. It's kind of unbelievable. Every single bite was fantastic and each course met the high expectations that the previous course set. Zohara is one of our go-to restaurants since our first visit in March 2024. We love their food, service, and ambiance. The outdoor patio seating in warm weather is a great vibe. They have many vegetarian dishes to choose from. Their Spiced Pineapple mocktail and Market Hummus are our absolute favourite items. We've tried their Watermelon Halloumi, Halloumi A La Planca, Falafel, Roasted Cauliflower, Batata hara, among other dishes. It was all delicious and their desserts are extremely tasty as well. Tip: Always reserve a table especially on weekends. read more
A favorite, especially for the beautiful patio! Went here for a work dinner and our guest was definitely impressed with the West Hartford Center setting. The apps are so good and the Market Hummus was smooth. Ordered the Carrot Juice mocktail, got it spicy and it is the best drink I've had in 2025! If you are looking for a nice spot to eat with friends, coworkers, or date night, this is the place. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food and this place did not disappoint. Walking in we was greeted and received great service. We ordered several appetizers to share: meatballs, beet spread, olives, and oysters. My favorite was the oysters! They were cooked to perfection and the sauce was oh sooo good! I wanted to drizzle that sauce on everything and take it to go. I wasn't a huge fan of the snapper due to it was dry. If you're looking for a Mediterranean food Zohara hits the spot . Very clean atmosphere, but a little noisy. They have a great happy hour with specialty drinks . I had the mix grill with shrimp, salmon, and lamb kofta that was done to perfection . My guest had mix grill with shrimp filet mignon and lamb kofta . The filet was dry and not very tasty but he really enjoyed the lamb and shrimp. The market hummus was amazing with grilled corn on top so so good. The service was on top of everything and very friendly . The atmosphere was casual. The only downfall is it's hard to find parking. read more
Drinks. Amazing food. More drinks! Zoharas Mediterranean vibes was a perfect lunch spot for me and my niece in West Hartford center. I sat down to take a look at the drink menu. I was intrigued with the 24 carrot cocktail and even more pleased with the flavor after I ordered it. A vodka blended with carrot juice lemon and honey was a perfect pairing of refreshing flavors and strong enough to get an afternoon buzz. (I ordered two, because it was just that good!) We then ordered the baba ganoush and the whole roasted cauliflower with pomegranate pine nuts to start. Both were fresh and flavorful. I also had the chicken Albanian salad and my niece ordered grilled shrimp skewers with saffron rice. Everything was delicious. Service was incredible and loved the whole vibe! read more
