I get that they make everything to order but if I was in a hurry I wouldn't be able to go there. The sandwich was okay. They used baked picnic ham. It was tasty. Just wasn't trimmed and there was one slice. The mustard was in the first bite and nowhere else on the sandwich which was too bad cuz the first bite was the best. The sourdough bread was toasted a lot more than the picture. I like my toast super crunchy, so it was not a bad thing for me. I hear the ice cream there is very good. You expect, like the other establishments in the plaza, to find a small cafe style restaurant. When you walk in, you are surprised with fun decor and spacious dining area. Everyone who has gone with me says the same thing "I would never expect it to look like this based on the outside." As for food, they have the Best Reuben sandwich in Rocky Hill. So make sure you have a full hour to burn if you go for lunch.

I just left The Salad Bar after enjoying a refreshing salad for lunch. We were deciding between…read moreChopped and The Salad Bar, but chose The Salad Bar because our experiences at Chopped haven't been the best. The few times we've been there, we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff whenever we asked questions. There was little to no eye contact, and the customer service just wasn't welcoming. The experience at The Salad Bar was the complete opposite. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were immediately asked if we had any questions. That simple gesture made a great first impression. Eye contact is important to me. It feels like, as a society, we've lost some of those basic courtesies that make people feel seen and valued. The staff at The Salad Bar absolutely delivered in that regard. I also appreciate businesses that pay attention to the little things. Cleanliness should always be expected, but unfortunately, that's not always the case. The restaurant was spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised to find USB charging outlets at the tables--a thoughtful touch that definitely didn't go unnoticed. Great food, friendly service, and attention to detail make for a wonderful dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

We decided to sit inside for a relaxed dinner with the piano background music. Our appetizer were really good , everything served on time and our waiter Kj was awesome, so patient and friendly.
