    Steak frites - pretty tasty.
    Nelson V.

Burtons is at the better choice for upscale restaurants that are still offering casual dining and cocktails. Our reservation was right on time, and I would recommend calling ahead as they book up quickly. Our service was a bit below average, but the food was above average. The cocktails lacked a bit of creativity, but that was made up by the charming bartenders who were very attentive. We should've eaten at the bar as our server was the only downfall in a rather busy evening. He ghosted us for about 25mins between ordering and the food coming out. We would've ordered more drinks and a bottle of wine while we waited for our food but never saw him. So they fell short on service, but the food was good and the bar was fun. We will go again, and hope for a better server next time.

    Passion, berry mocktail.

I met my girlfriend for dinner on Thursday night. We were seated quickly and greeted by the waitress. We ordered passion berry mock tails to start. They were pretty and delicious. We both opted for the fillet and crabcakes special. I have a gluten allergy and was happy to see so many gluten-free items available on the menu, including the crabcakes on the special. My fillet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My GF had risotto instead of potato. She said it was lovely and flavorful. We both had dessert. I had the gluten-free chocolate cake and she had the Keylime pie. Both were excellent We both enjoyed our visit and I will be back. Highly recommend!.

First time trying Burtons Bar and Grill. Lovely place with a kitchen where everything is made from scratch and am impressive GF menu! Server was lovely and attentive. I had the cheesesteak spring rolls. Three cheesy beefy spring rolls cooked to perfection with a side of onion straws. Perfect light meal!

The ambience, food and service were really good for a snowy day. We went to celebrate my kids' bday with family friends. We got bread service which was delicious with 3 different dips. We also got bang bang shrimp which disappeared in a moment. For entrees we got chicken and mushroom ravioli which was the best, swordfish which was not great, papardelle pasta with meat sauce which is not my favorite. The kids got steak, ribs and chicken piccata with Alfredo which all seemed ok and less seasoned. But my drink was amazing, the blueberry hibiscus! Overall, lovely ambience, warm service, good food.

What a solid choice that has absolutely amazing and efficient service with food that was 10/10! That steak was soooo good!!!! It was perfectly good the way I like it (well done) and topped with a delicious chimichurri sauce!! Them truffle fries were soooo good too!! (Imma get this dish again I swear) Side Mac & cheese was HUGE for a side and absolutely delicious! The grain bowl was a solid choice as well! Bangers around the table!

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We chose this because of their attention to gluten-free and it did not disappoint! Everything was perfectly, a short rib grilled cheese melted in your mouth. My son enjoyed his burger. Reasonable price for an amazing meal. We will be back!

Had dinner here Friday night, this place is quickly becoming my wife and I favorite place. Food is super consistent and the service is great. We usually head to Glastonbury or West Hartford for a great dinner. But Burtons is very underrated choice

Burton's is one of those places that I've had bookmarked for a long time. We have walked by it many times while visiting Evergreen shops and the look of it, from the elegant seating, fancy people dining, to the captivating smells of delicious food draw you in. Unfortunately, that's kind of where it ended for us though. We came in for a late lunch around 2pm. We were seated right away and were really impressed by the interiors and serviceable wait staff. All of that is important but what does it mean when the food isn't that great? I'm guessing that maybe it's because there are so many older folks that dine here and maybe they take sodium into consideration but everything we ate was bland - I'm talking like not seasoned at all. I ordered the classic salad and added salmon, asked for it to be cooked medium and it was soooo dry and just not good. The salad was iceberg lettuce and a few tomatoes, a cheap sprinkling of cheese and maybe a piece of cucumber or two. I know that things are tough, and I guess it's reflected in the salad toppings cause I feel like I pretty much paid $26 for iceberg. (see pic) The Maxx burger was good, other than being underseasoned. My brother had asked for french fries and got green beans instead but they were quick about fixing the issue. Also, we had to wait for silverware and napkins as it wasn't on the table nor did our waitress provide it for us. The fried fish sandwich and fries was just ok, also underseasoned. Overall, given the allure of this fine restaurant, we were expecting more, especially with the pricing.

Gluten free crab cake Benedict with home Fries

Burtons was a nice spot for a casual brunch. My friend and I met there at 11:00am. We have similar tastes, so we both opted for the crab cake Benedict, except she ordered gluten-free bread and I had regular with greens on the side. I'm not always a fan of crab cake, but the waitress said it was lump crab, and we were both glad we went with her suggestion! It was the best crab cake Benedict I've had in a long time. It tasted fresh, lots of juicy crab and it just tasted good. We each ordered a latte (I had her add mocha to mine) and it was good. The serve was good. Our waitress was very friendly and patiently answered any questions we had. Based on my experience, I'd be willing to try lunch or dinner, and would return for the same brunch.

My third time here and it was really disappointing. I am not sure if they change the chef however my steak was burnt . I have ordered well done steak the last 2 times and it was never burnt and dry. We had a large party and the servers did their best however there was alot of complaints about the quality of the food. The mango lemonade was extra sweet and the blueberry hibiscus was weak and had an after taste. The overall ambiance was really great. Very soft Christmas music and even though their was alot of people, it was not too loud . A grear night for a birthday Celebration

I was recommend this bar and grill by a sales person in a store up other road. I could tell they genuinely loved it so I figured it was worth the try. Omg it is amazing. Really good food, amazing quality and service was great on a Thursday afternoon. Will definitely come again when I'm in the area. The warm lobster roll was top notch, better than anything I had living on cape cod for 6 years.

Nice, casual place with friendly staff and an interesting mix of cuisine on the menu. We came in for a late lunch and enjoyed our meal. Our son ordered a Shirley temple, and the waitress included 3 maraschino cherries! Starting with a surprisingly impressive bread plate that came with pesto olive oil, whipped rosemary butter and olive tapenade. The bread came out freshly made and warm- crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Very good! Free bread refills too! The Maxx burger was "unbelievable "our 16 year old said. The Beet tower salad was quite nice with goat cheese and carmelized onions. The Fish sandwich was thinly battered but extra crispy. It had pickled onions and pickles which made it tangy and crunchy. The Veggie burger with special sauce had a little zip to it and the bun was freshly made. The burgers and fish sandwich all came with fries and we tried both the truffle and regular fries which were crispy and well seasoned. Overall, this is a good place for a tasty, hearty meal.

For that price, you only received soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. I really think an appetizer should have been included considering the price point, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. We were seated downstairs near the kitchen, and it was extremely warm and uncomfortable down there during the meal. On a positive note, the service itself was fairly quick, and our waiter was very attentive and friendly, which was appreciated. Overall though, the atmosphere, organization, and value for the money left us disappointed. This did not include drinks and automatic gratuity was included in the bill since we had a party of 6.

It comes with the mixed veggies (Broccoli. Carrots. Squash) and potato of the day (homemade mashed potatoes). The steak was a bit chewy and did not seem to be a typical prime cut of beef I am used to getting back in Texas. Maybe prime beef in Connecticut isn't as good quality, who knows. The homemade bread that comes out before the dinner is good but hard. It's also very garlicky. Service was a bit awkward. Our waitress came by halfway through and said she was checking to make sure we were well taken care of...but my tea was almost empty and she just walked off and didn't say she'd refill it. I eventually had to flag her down a few mins later to ask for a refill. At fancy restaurants, they just fill it without you asking. She also messed up my colleagues meal. He asked for no squash and the chef seemed to put extra squash on his plate. She should have remembered that he didn't want squash. Inside is still somewhat nice looking if not a bit sparse and a bit dark. I try to get a single tamales. Along with a sandwich. Food comes out after a short delay. Took pics then dug in. Bread is really good. Crusty but soft and was warm. Had to cut it myself but they gave me a steak knife which worked for the job. The beef was flavored well but the jus was over seasoned with salt. It mellowed out when treated like a French dip, but still a little too salty on its own. There was about 6 small strips of steak, with some tomatoes and onions also in the mix to help bulk out the sandwich. The tamale was massive, masa was spiced well. Chicken was pulles in long strings which led to uneven bites of chicken and masa. Price was good for the sandwich but not the tamale. 13 for the sandwich is reasonable but would want the option for some fries or something to bulk it out. The tamale at 8 was too pricy for what you get. Not a bad tamale, but would rather pay 4 and get half than pay for a big one. Least then I can try both protein options and pick a winner. Less than 50% of the menu had descriptions in English, and unfortunately when asking the staff they were unable to translate and answer questions. The tables around us were Spanish speaking and had a significantly easier dining experience. I feel like this is a great local Latin American diner, and if you are looking for some authentic Peruvian home style dishes this is the place.
