The food is always consistent and delicious. Who would have ever though my favorite salad dressing would be at a Chinese restaurant? Order the Cafe Chicken Salad. This is a BIG salad. More then enough to share with your entire table and a full meal for those of us brave enough to attempt it alone. I have only finished it myself a few times. The portions are ample and lunch comes with soup or appetizer plate. This is usually a chicken wing and an eggroll. Also they give you a small plate with the chicken salad as well. I have visited East Cafe on many occasions and it holds some very special memories for me and some of my friends. It's also become a favorite of out of town visiting guests as well. They do not deliver. I think I was told once they have been there for 25 years+. The place could use a good sprucing up but it does add to it's charm. Reasonable prices and a lot of bang for your lunch time buck as well. read more

The East cafe has been around since the late '80 Even though still one of the best in Aurora The east was sold in 2018 or 19 and chin is no longer the charismatic owner. Giving to a fault and considered a friend we wish you well The food is still good but does not have that Chin touch any longer Used to always be a 5 star to my husband and I. I would now give it a 3 1/2 to 4 star read more

I ordered Egg Fooyung and I got some big looking biscuit thing that was hard and did not look like any type of egg I've ever seen. That is not what egg Fooyung should look like. The gravy was also very runny like soup. I was not pleased, very unsatisfied and I asked for my money back or for them to give me something else in replace for the Fooyung. The lady was very rude and disrespectful they would not substitute or give me my money back. all the lady could say was "we've been doing it this way for 35 years and never had a complaint"They clearly do not have any good customer service and this is by far unacceptable especially because I'm a regular customer. They did nothing to make this right. BEWARE. read more

This is a 5 star Chinese restaurant that follows the 3.5 star rule. Great food and good portions

Not the best Chinese food. It's probably next to the worst. The steamed rice was so dry & the soy sauce on top of it tasted extremely cheap & Americanized. The salad that came with it was waaaaay to sweet. However the service was extremely good. So I'll give them that as well as the egg rolls & cheese wontons that we're pretty good too. read more

This was our family's favorite Chinese food for years. The food is not the same. They had the best lo mein and sesame chicken in all of Colorado. Now not so much. The sesame chicken was the worst I have ever ate. Lo mein had no flavor. Less food and tasteless! The food taste like $1 scoop. Staff is not friendly and I got the wrong food served to me. Didn't even get to eat with my family. Big disappointment! read more

I have been going to this Chinese restaurant for years and yesterday the guy who answered the phone is a not so nice guy, I ordered a chicken chef salad and it was 11 dollars compared to 8 dollars in the past! Also he knows who I am and he said do you know how to get here, I'm like really jerk, plus I am not ordering it at dinner time again there was not even 1/2 cup of chicken in the salad ! All I ask is more chicken In the salad I will not be going there for a while even though I like it a lot, read more

I've had multiple Lunch's here and the Service and food vary. Sometimes its very slow service and other times is quick and smooth. The food is consistently a 3. It's good for a lunch and you get what you expect. They do have a lunch special that includes a soup/salad and small appetizer with your meal which includes rice. read more

Nice, old-fashioned Chinese restaurant. A good value and excellent dishes. It's a small restaurant that seems well staffed. Very efficient and nice and clean. read more

Outstanding service! Ambience was good. Dumplings: ordinary, nothing special. No flavor. The dipping sauce didn't have hot pepper oil nor was there any at the table to add, which is unusual in my vast experience of Chinese restaurants. The hot and sour soup was very good, and the "small" bowl was like an entire meal, big enough for two people, really, so I didn't order an entree. I'll be back, to give this place a second chance to prove itself by ordering an entree, but the odd thing was, that the wait staff said the dishes marked "spicy" on the menu didn't have a "mild-spicy" option. The spiciness only comes in one strength, which they said was "very spicy". Well that would narrow down the menu considerably, so I'll try one "spicy" dish next time anyway, for the sake of a review. read more

This place is over priced and gives very very small portions! They were good when we first started coming here for lunch, but when we ordered a couple of times for dinner ( I like to give second chances before I judge) it was ridiculous what we payed for with the portions we got and being an actual sit down restaurant. For half the price we could have just gone to the dollar scoop. I gave it 2 stars because the food is good and one more star because I love their hot and sour soup! read more

I have loved this place for over 10 years! Chow fun is amazing and fresh....wontons, wonton soup...my favorites!!! I could eat here every day. My daughter loves the fried rice Beef/chicken hurricane is amazing Chow Mien, sesame chicken, whatever you order, you will love. Staff are lovely and keep the place clean! read more

Ate there for years. Great lunch or dinner. Take out or dine. The food always hit the spot. I loved the Beef Po Hou plate which was a unique dish I've not found anywhere else. Love it. Haven't been there in a while because I don't live or work by there any more, but it's worth the drive. Very reasonable pricing. Moderate environment. Good service. Gave this five stars because it was worth being your local Chinese restaurant. read more

I would eat here everyday three times a day if I could!!! Their egg drop soup delicious! THEIR CHEESW WANTONS AMAZING!!! The tea they give you while you wait perfect touch!! Best food !! read more

We got takeout today for 3 of us and it was very good. Of course in house dining is better with the sizzling plates and great waiters but this was a close second. We had egg rolls and HURRICANE COMBOS. All was very good. Please support this lovely restaurant and owners. We need them to succeed through these hard times with Covid19. We will definently do this again soon. read more

Food: 2 stars, service 5 star. I know it's hard to find authentic Chinese restaurant in Colorado however even being Americanize it's doesn't quite adds up to standards. Most of the food I felt like it was bland such as our sesame chicken dish we ate. I ordered the combo pan fried noodle (there's not many restaurant that makes it) and I was in pain to realize the noodles are the fat noodles where it has no crunchy texture and also the softness if the noodles when it get soak with sauce it breaks out looking like a noodle. My noodle from them kinda felt like cardboard soak in sauce. The egg drop soup kinda looks like a buzz kill with all these overkill ingredients added into it such as tofu, tomatoes, mushrooms, bamboo, etc and it's nothing that I'm used to seeing. Just beware when you do come to this establishment it won't be like any other Chinese restaurant read more

I would have rated this place great..NOT ANYMORE. We dont live nearby. Got home and realized that a part of our order was missing. I called and the gentleman stated, "the packer said he packed it." I simply asked for a refund as I did not want to drive 40 minutes in the SNOW. his only suggestion was, "bring the whole order back and we will double check it?" HORRIBLE SERVICE I will call management tomorrow read more

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area because of consistency. The food is good and the prices are decent.

Lunch today dealing with plastic silverware and soy sauce packs was no problem at all! In fact, appreciated. The food however, has gone down hill. The egg roll was so greasy, had to get extra napkins to soak it up. My lunch was equally as greasy. Never had a bad meal here in 15 plus years. It has always been my go to Chinese restaurant and highly recommended to others. New owners since I've been back here. Hope they improve on the food or they won't be around long. Too much competition for Chinese food and they need to maintain their former reputation. I'll definitely give it another try and hope it improve. read more

This is my favorite Chinese food in Aurora. Huge menu. I try something new everytime. Havent been disappointed yet. They have been here for like 40 years. It's always so busy in the evenings so I suggest pickup or delivery. Also their employee mask policy is kinda creepy. read more

Delicious! We will definitely be back! This was the cleanest Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to. Cleanliness was really important to me so I was really happy to find that they were clean. The wait staff was amazing, our waitress was a tentative the entire time and helped pack up our food which was greatly appreciated. The only reason I did not give it five stars, is because we did not like the egg drop soup! I know it's a piggy little thing, but that really is the only reason I would not of given it five stars. I attached a picture of our appetizers, the pork wontons and the cheese wontons. We forgot to take a picture of our entrée when it got there! read more

East Cafe - Pork wonton and cheese wontons - Chinese Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Is this not absolutely the best, most fantastic, incredibly delicious, breathtakingly scrumptious Chinese restaurant you'll ever visit!?! No. But it's A-OK, and there are a couple of things that stand out. First, the folks are very nice. Second, the wonton soup was actually surprisingly good, with large chuncks of chicken and pork, accompanying freshly made and folded wonton. (That's not something I usually order, but I was with a fan of it last night and the "small" pot they bring serves at least 2). Third, nothing was bad, and that included the pork spare ribs and mu shoo pork, expertly rolled by the sweetie of a server. Tea was hot, and my fortune was good. ("You will soon receive happy financial news." (Too bad it wasn't "A pro golfer's wife will soon need a place to stay, and she will choose you.") (just kidding, honey)). All-in-all, a good neighborhood spot. Some place special to drive out of the way for . . .? Again, no. But if ya got a hankering for some Chinese and you're out Aurora-way, this restaurant would be a good choice. read more

Bumping them up a star cause I obviously didn't realize their lunch special is still pretty good. Cost for eating out has gone up since I used to frequent here so it's not this restaurant. Food still tastes great. Persons who takes the orders are all helpful and very nice. Food is always ready pretty quickly. read more

This place was recommended so many times on Nextdoor, but I wasn't thrilled with the food. It was flavorless and the wontons were soggy. The egg rolls were great though! I also paid extra for fried rice, and received white rice. The food alone could potentially be a 4 star rating if they hadn't messed up something that I paid extra for. read more

Lunch specials are reasonably priced. You get a fair amount of food for your money. I enjoyed the wontons and thought the eggrolls were okay. The beef dish I had (How You Beef: w/ asparagus, bamboo shoots, and scallioins) was not especially flavorful, but was a good portion size. The hot and sour soup had a metallic tang to it on my first couple spoonfuls. I used to come here for the Singapore noodles (they were really good). However, they are not a lunch special item. I should have ordered those on my most recent visit. read more

This place was suggested to me for a lunch meeting. I understand it has been around for years. The place is quiet and subdued so you can definitely enjoy your meal. The food was okay for the price. The service was not bad either. Overall, this place is okay. If you are in the neighborhood and need a bite to eat, stop by. read more

East Cafe - This is how our food showed up. The food was awful and the delivery was even worse. - Chinese Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

If you are looking for some excellent Chinese food this is hte place. Great serving and excellent customer service.

Usually I'm not thrilled to go to the Denver area for work but the saving grace is always the chance to try a new restaurant. About half a mile from where I was at is the East Cafe. The outside is all brick and no windows and looks like a total dive. Sign me up! The best food often times comes from the least expected places. The inside is clean and the host was really nice. He patiently explained the most popular dishes. I was looking for something on the spicy side and settled on the hurricane shrimp. The shrimp was very nicely cooked but I could have used more veggies and more heat. The sauce was really good and I used the brown rice to soak it all up. Because I couldn't narrow it down to just one dish, I also ordered the smoked salmon fried rice. I thought it might be too salty with the smoked salmon but it was the perfect amount of salty and rich with the salmon. I love veggies so could have used more veggies in this dish. Overall, the fried rice was fantastic and I'd probably order that next time. A great find! read more

This place was very mediocre and extremely bland. Prices are reasonable but really not worth it. Hurricane combo- super bland, not spicy at all. Chicken Lo Mein and Chicken Fried Rice were the best part of the order but very basic and bland also. Egg drop soup tasted like the container it was in.. Egg rolls were soggy. Really great service though. Friendly staff! read more

Food is good, of all the Chinese restaurants I've tried here in Colorado this place is probably the best so far. I enjoyed the Wonton soup, small size is good enough for two people, I had the Imperial chicken which was delish, I think my cousin got the Combination Beef which was good too as well. And our server, I forgot his name but he's tall, he was excellent. Definitely coming back... read more

I have eaten at the East Cafe for the last 30 years, my last two experiences were the worst for customer service....absolutely awful. I know there are other Chinese restaurants out there and it's not about the food it's about the front of the house staff. The women at the front door are nasty and always rude. Before the COVID-19 I did notice that some of the waitstaff we're starting to quit what does that tell you. The management that took over in the last 2-3 years is the problem. I'm moving on!! read more
