NIGHTMARE Experience This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had. We arrived at 1pm to pick up our rental car and were stuck in line for over an hour and half. When we finally got our vehicle. the side mirror was hanging off, and within one block of driving, the AC COMPRESSOR KEPT GOING OUT and this was in 115 Arizona heat and driving to Vegas we need AC. We brought the car back immediately, only to be told they were out of vehicles and had to wait an additional three hours to get another one. By the time replacement was finally available. it was already 6pm our entire day was ruined needless to say. ABSOLUTELY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This was the worst rental car experience we have ever had and i am 51 years old. It started out with us waiting 25 minutes for the shuttle. The pickup of the shuttle was not good, the driver was so slow getting out of the car and didnt help load our bags into the shuttle. His attitude was "I dont care". When we arrived, we were first in line and i was just sitting there in front of her while she was doing other work! When I asked what she was doing. she informed me that she had other work to do before she could help me. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, they informed all 15 of us waiting for our vehicles that there was only 1 car available! There wasnt even a simple "sorry" or any kind of apology. They then said if we weren't happy we could just go somewhere else! One woman had flown in from Australia and was so upset. Another man had his whole family with 3 kids and no car. They told us we could leave or we would have to wait for the cars to come in. The one woman at the counter told us not to get mad at her because "I just work here". Keep in mind we were at the rental car place with nothing around us. The manager then made an appearance and she was even more unapologetic than the employee. She said "someone left on me yesterday, please dont make another person leave". Everyone was being so polite, yet they were acting like they were being abused - it was totally bizarre. Since we were first in line i got the only car they had but it was not the type of car we reserved, which was a Medium sized SUV. We received a SUB COMPACT suv, which is the smallest one you can get. They also told me if there was a chip in the windshield we would have to pay to replace the entire windshield! Worse part about it is that when we got to the car there was already a chip in it, which means they are charging customers over $1000 for a new windshield and then keeping the money. Do not, I repeat, do not rent a car from this place (EASIRENT). I got to Phoenix on 4/23 me and a few of their customers had to wait about 40 minutes for a shuttle (we were told by the shuttle driver she was the only one working). Then we were told by the shuttle driver that it would be a 2-hour wait once we got there. Me and every customer did not get on that shuttle. Guess what, now they don't want to do a refund. Try calling, see what you get. NO ONE PICKS UP. I EMAILED NOW I DID GET responses, BUT NOBODY KNOWS WHAT TO DO. DO NOT, I REPEAT, GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Review for Easy Rent This company was anything but "easy." We picked up our rental car from a secondary location at the Courtyard Marriott in Houston, Texas. At pickup, we were told we had to pay $15 per day for toll coverage we might encounter, or else we would be charged the toll plus a $25 penalty for every toll used. This felt excessive and coercive, but we proceeded because we needed the car. After leaving the location, we drove straight to our destination. The next day, we drove about 50 minutes away. On the return drive, a faulty brake light warning came on, advising us to drive the vehicle to a dealership. Concerned about safety, we immediately contacted Easy Rent and requested a replacement vehicle. We were told they do not provide replacement vehicles, even though it had been less than 24 hours since pickup. When we asked to speak to a supervisor, we were hung up on. After calling back multiple times and repeatedly requesting a supervisor, we were placed on hold indefinitely. Only after Priceline intervened did Easy Rent give us options: either tow the car at our own expense or drive it back, despite the fact that the vehicle was potentially unsafe. We made it clear this was a liability and dangerous. Eventually, we were instructed to call roadside assistance to have it "evaluated." Roadside assistance informed us they only tow vehicles, they do not evaluate them. Ultimately, roadside assistance towed the car to a dealership. We immediately notified Easy Rent of the towing location and requested to speak with someone regarding a full refund. This occurred on December 13, 2025. As of December 16, 2025, we have not spoken to anyone about a refund. However, Easy Rent did call us to ask where the car was and why it wasn't returned on December 15 per the rental agreement, completely ignoring the fact that the vehicle was unsafe and towed with their knowledge. Between the poor vehicle condition, lack of accountability, unsafe expectations, and unacceptable customer service, I would strongly advise others to avoid Easy Rent. Logistically a nightmare, take the sky train to the car rental plaza, walk out of the plaza for a fair distance, take the elevator to the street level, wait for the shuttle, ride to the facility for 10-12 minutes and be greeted by a long line in an understaffed office. Then accept a car that hasn't been cleaned to avoid spending even more time just to get a car. read more

TERRIBLE experience from start to finish. Waited 45 minutes for the shuttle, then spent 2 more hours at the counter. The car I was supposed to get had a broken engine, and the replacement was filthy, reeked of smoke, and was basically undriveable. We couldn't even use it. I booked a car rental on the Expedia web site. I paid for insurance through Expedia. At the booking, Expedia said I would owe $92 at the counter. An email sent after the booking explained the rental company might have extra charges. At check in, I handed my documents to the employee Krystal. She said I had a local license, so look at the wall. A small poster explained local drivers would be charged an extra $25 per day the car was driven more than 150 miles in a day. I explained I would exceed that mileage 3 of the 4 days. She said my total would be $296.99, three times what I was expecting from the Expedia booking. Krystal said she looked at my insurance and it only covered comprehensive and collision (I had to assume the extra $139 was insurance). I said I paid for extra insurance on Expedia and was told to call them to get my money back! I was in a tight spot, so I said "Okay, then rip me off" and paid the fee although none of the details of the excessive cost were explained to me. At no time while I was in the office was the rental agreement shown to me, I was not given any choice of options on taking or waiving extra insurance, I was not offered either a paper or an electronic form to sign or initial. A rental agreement was emailed to me. In the spots where the renter is supposed to sign for accept or decline is a line drawn by the employee. In addition to having a large amount of unexplained chares added to the bill, the customer service was horrible. When I entered the office, no one was at the counter and no other customers were present. I signed in and was ignored. Another customer came in and yelled into the back area that he had a return. Krystal took care of him and another customer who arrived later than I did before helping me. After I paid, the key fob was handed over with the explanation that the car was out to the left. I did not know which one, so I honked the horn until I found it. No one reviewed the vehicle for existing damage with me, no one showed me anything about the features of the car or where to find necessary switches. read more

Taking the tram to car rental area was demoralizing. For Easirent elevator was off to the side and not very nice. Waited for the shuttle for 20 minutes and decided to call. I got a live person, outsource, and he was very rude. Once at the rental office, it was very unorganized. Only one worker trying to take care of customers picking up and returning cars. The one worker then had to take customer outside to go over the car with them. One customer asked a working sitting in the back about returning keys. He said just put it on the chair. After a while, there were about five keys on the chair. Nobody had processed them. Once we got up to the counter, which took a while, she did not go out to the car with us. She said, "If you find any damage, take a picture and come back and tell me." I will never rent from this place again and will never recommend it. read more

Do not rent from this car company. Its the worst experience i have ever had. The ad on priceline is totally false starting with free second driver. I was force to pay for one even though the ad say so. I was forced to rent from another company due to them not having the car I rented. They keep telling me to comeback and change it others cars were going to be dropped off at 11:00, they close at 10:00. I am still waiting for my refund for second driver. Warning do not rent from this company. The only good thing is priceline is willing to make-up the difference of price for the new rental from National. If you have problems with this company and you booked it through Priceline call them right away, they will help you try to make it right. Lesson learned. read more

Save your time, money, and frustration. Do not use this rental company. The facility is located several miles away from the normal PHX Sky Harbor rental car center and is only open from 8 am to 8 pm. I assumed that it would have typical airport hours so I was not stressed for time when my arrival was delayed by just an hour. Long story short, I was not able to get the car on the day that I had already reserved/paid to get it. Frustrating, for sure but not a huge deal. The headaches did not end there. Once I made it back the next morning, it took almost 2 hours to get a car. I was not able to leave without almost $100 in additional fees/services that I was told were required and I would not be able to leave without paying for them. I was not given a refund for the day that I hadn't even used the car. I ended up spending more than I would have had I booked with Enterprise, Hertz, etc. There do not seem to be any systems or training in place for the employees to provide effective customer service. I was given a car without a license plate, registration, or any documentation showing what this car was. The make and model of the car were also misspelled on the key fob. I assumed that I would not need to check for these basic things, and therefore did not even realize any of this was missing until I was hours away out of state. I could only keep my fingers crossed that I would not get pulled over (thankfully, I did not). Upon returning the car, I overheard an employee say that this was the second car returned that day without a license plate. All signs point to this being a business to stay away from. Trust the lack of stars folks. We waited for our shuttle to take us to the rental place and watched multiple other shuttles pull up for the other rental place. I then pulled up YELP and saw the reviews and teased my husband for not checking the reviews so we went back into the airport and to Avis and stayed away from easirental. We might be paying more but the process was far easier and the peace of mind that I was in a far more reliable vehicle was worth it. Now my husband is realizing that checking reviews really helps. This company is AWFUL! I prepaid through Expedia in September 2025 with Easirent in Phoenix, AZ. Despite every effort to communicate delays and confirm my reservation, I was denied service, left stranded, and forced to incur over $700 in additional travel costs. Here is a summary of the events: - My flight to Phoenix on 11/07/2027 was repeatedly delayed due to FAA-mandated reductions. I was scheduled to pick up the rental car at 7:00 PM. - Concerned about the delays, I called the Easirent branch using the number listed online. The representative told me to contact Expedia. - Expedia then told me to contact the branch. With my flight boarding, I didn't have time to call again. Expedia assured me they would notify the branch via phone and email to hold my reservation. They said they would do everything to negotiate with the branch, which I appreciated. - I landed at 9:45 PM and immediately went to the shuttle pick-up area. No shuttle arrived. I waited alone in a poorly lit, isolated area for over 30 minutes. - I called the branch again. The automated message said a shuttle was looping and provided a link to track it -- which was broken. No one answered the phone. - I had to order a Lyft to the branch, which was located in a sketchy, off-site area about 15 minutes away from the airport. Upon arrival, I was told my reservation had been canceled and marked as a no-show. - Despite the national travel disruptions, Easirent made no exceptions. They claimed they never received any communication from Expedia and had no cars available to provide me with, meaning I was forced to get a hotel room for the night. - I was told to return the next day to speak with a manager -- but to call first to ensure the manager, Nolen, was in and that they had cars for me to rent. I called from my hotel room and discovered the number was for a call center, not the branch. I was told the manager would contact me directly. It's now been 72 hours and I've heard nothing. - I had no choice but to rent a car from Budget and pay for a hotel and multiple Lyft rides to salvage my trip to Tucson. This experience was unacceptable. Easirent failed to provide the service I paid for, ignored multiple attempts to communicate, and showed zero flexibility during a period of widespread travel disruption. Their customer service was non-existent, and their operations are misleading and inaccessible. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and expect a full refund. I also hope Expedia to reconsiders their partnership with Easirent, as this company's practices are deceptive and damaging to travelers. read more

First off, it is an off site rental car place. I had to wait outside for 35 min in 120 heat index for a shuttle to pick me up. They charged my card 157.00 extra for insurance that I declined and they when I asked about it, The branch manager told me that I was supposed to provide the insurance which was never asked for. So I never got a refund. You do not get a hard copy of your contract so that you can review the charges. It is emailed to you. So if you are on vacation you may want to look at your contract in your email before you pull off. I was trying to save money and this is what I get. I will never use this company again. BEWARE!!! We booked a car with Easirent to pick up in PHX airport. We waited over an hour for the shuttle that was supposed to pick us up an never came. We called the rental place with no answer repeatedly. We finally ordered an Uber to the car rental location only to find no one at the counter. I waited for someone to help me only to find out that there were no rental cars available. I had 6 people with me ubering from the airport to the very sketchy location only to find out we didn't have a rental car. The lady helping me "Jenny" was EXTREMELY rude and could care less about our situation. She did not offer any kind of assistance (i.e. maybe a shuttle back to the airport so we didn't have to spend more money to get back to the airport for a situation they caused) and we were not the only people there with no car. Jenny told me she still had 8 reservations that night picking up and they didn't have cars for them either, like that was supposed to make our situation better. At a minimum they should have answered the phone or emailed us to tell us their situation, that they did not have any cars to offer us, instead our entire party had to order an uber to and from a very sketchy part of town. Once the reservation was cancelled I asked for a receipt for the cancellation and refund and Jenny told me she couldn't give me one and that I would get an email notification within the hour. Well, it's been 6 days and I STILL don't have email confirmation that the reservation was cancelled. I also still don't have a refund to my account that she said would be coming. This was a HORRIBLE experience and no one should ever have to go through all of that with a rental car company. So please BEWARE!!! read more

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. There were many red flags that should have made me turn and get a car from a more reputable company before even booking. The price is what got me, and now it's costing me. I did not realize the rental office isn't with the others, you have to be shuttled off site, and that shuttle is very infrequent. When the shuttle finally arrived, they let us know that there was a 2-3 hour wait, because they're understaffed and can't turn over their returns fast enough. Why is that my fault? I decided to call customer service, which was very difficult to get a hold of someone, after they confirmed with the manager that there was an extensive wait they agreed they would cancel my reservation and refund my money. It's now a month later, no refund, getting the run around, can't get a hold of anyone, and my blood pressure is making me sweat dealing with them. I recently tried to rent a car on 7-12-25 from EasiRent. They emailed me on the plane that they had no cars which was a lie. Confirmed by an employee the next day. This place sucks. The shuttle has no COLD air. It's blowing hot air. Then when you finally get to the rental place a ton of people are just standing around ready to be helped and this blonde heavier set lady is just messing with the tv and music more concerned about the music playing over helping customers. Then the guy working here is also just watching tv helping the customer so slow. The ONlY employee working is the African American girl with glass. She was the only helpful hardworking employee.
