Do not rent from this car company. Its the worst experience i have ever had. The ad on priceline is totally false starting with free second driver. I was force to pay for one even though the ad say so. I was forced to rent from another company due to them not having the car I rented. They keep telling me to comeback and change it others cars were going to be dropped off at 11:00, they close at 10:00. I am still waiting for my refund for second driver. Warning do not rent from this company. The only good thing is priceline is willing to make-up the difference of price for the new rental from National. Save your time, money, and frustration. Do not use this rental company. The facility is located several miles away from the normal PHX Sky Harbor rental car center and is only open from 8 am to 8 pm. I assumed that it would have typical airport hours so I was not stressed for time when my arrival was delayed by just an hour. Long story short, I was not able to get the car on the day that I had already reserved/paid to get it. Frustrating, for sure but not a huge deal. The headaches did not end there. Once I made it back the next morning, it took almost 2 hours to get a car. I was not able to leave without almost $100 in additional fees/services that I was told were required and I would not be able to leave without paying for them. I was not given a refund for the day that I hadn't even used the car. I ended up spending more than I would have had I booked with Enterprise, Hertz, etc. There do not seem to be any systems or training in place for the employees to provide effective customer service. I was given a car without a license plate, registration, or any documentation showing what this car was. The make and model of the car were also misspelled on the key fob. I assumed that I would not need to check for these basic things, and therefore did not even realize any of this was missing until I was hours away out of state. I could only keep my fingers crossed that I would not get pulled over (thankfully, I did not). Upon returning the car, I overheard an employee say that this was the second car returned that day without a license plate. All signs point to this being a business to stay away from. Trust the lack of stars folks. We waited for our shuttle to take us to the rental place and watched multiple other shuttles pull up for the other rental place. I then pulled up YELP and saw the reviews and teased my husband for not checking the reviews so we went back into the airport and to Avis and stayed away from easirental. We might be paying more but the process was far easier and the peace of mind that I was in a far more reliable vehicle was worth it. Now my husband is realizing that checking reviews really helps. This company is AWFUL! I prepaid through Expedia in September 2025 with Easirent in Phoenix, AZ. Despite every effort to communicate delays and confirm my reservation, I was denied service, left stranded, and forced to incur over $700 in additional travel costs. Here is a summary of the events: - My flight to Phoenix on 11/07/2027 was repeatedly delayed due to FAA-mandated reductions. I was scheduled to pick up the rental car at 7:00 PM. - Concerned about the delays, I called the Easirent branch using the number listed online. The representative told me to contact Expedia. - Expedia then told me to contact the branch. With my flight boarding, I didn't have time to call again. Expedia assured me they would notify the branch via phone and email to hold my reservation. They said they would do everything to negotiate with the branch, which I appreciated. - I landed at 9:45 PM and immediately went to the shuttle pick-up area. No shuttle arrived. I waited alone in a poorly lit, isolated area for over 30 minutes. - I called the branch again. The automated message said a shuttle was looping and provided a link to track it -- which was broken. No one answered the phone. - I had to order a Lyft to the branch, which was located in a sketchy, off-site area about 15 minutes away from the airport. Upon arrival, I was told my reservation had been canceled and marked as a no-show. - Despite the national travel disruptions, Easirent made no exceptions. They claimed they never received any communication from Expedia and had no cars available to provide me with, meaning I was forced to get a hotel room for the night. - I was told to return the next day to speak with a manager -- but to call first to ensure the manager, Nolen, was in and that they had cars for me to rent. I called from my hotel room and discovered the number was for a call center, not the branch. I was told the manager would contact me directly. It's now been 72 hours and I've heard nothing. - I had no choice but to rent a car from Budget and pay for a hotel and multiple Lyft rides to salvage my trip to Tucson. This experience was unacceptable. Easirent failed to provide the service I paid for, ignored multiple attempts to communicate, and showed zero flexibility during a period of widespread travel disruption. Their customer service was non-existent, and their operations are misleading and inaccessible. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and expect a full refund. I also hope Expedia to reconsiders their partnership with Easirent, as this company's practices are deceptive and damaging to travelers. read more

First off, it is an off site rental car place. I had to wait outside for 35 min in 120 heat index for a shuttle to pick me up. They charged my card 157.00 extra for insurance that I declined and they when I asked about it, The branch manager told me that I was supposed to provide the insurance which was never asked for. So I never got a refund. You do not get a hard copy of your contract so that you can review the charges. It is emailed to you. So if you are on vacation you may want to look at your contract in your email before you pull off. I was trying to save money and this is what I get. I will never use this company again. My advice pay the money and save yourself the headache. read more

BEWARE!!! We booked a car with Easirent to pick up in PHX airport. We waited over an hour for the shuttle that was supposed to pick us up an never came. We called the rental place with no answer repeatedly. We finally ordered an Uber to the car rental location only to find no one at the counter. I waited for someone to help me only to find out that there were no rental cars available. I had 6 people with me ubering from the airport to the very sketchy location only to find out we didn't have a rental car. The lady helping me "Jenny" was EXTREMELY rude and could care less about our situation. She did not offer any kind of assistance (i.e. maybe a shuttle back to the airport so we didn't have to spend more money to get back to the airport for a situation they caused) and we were not the only people there with no car. Jenny told me she still had 8 reservations that night picking up and they didn't have cars for them either, like that was supposed to make our situation better. At a minimum they should have answered the phone or emailed us to tell us their situation, that they did not have any cars to offer us, instead our entire party had to order an uber to and from a very sketchy part of town. Once the reservation was cancelled I asked for a receipt for the cancellation and refund and Jenny told me she couldn't give me one and that I would get an email notification within the hour. Well, it's been 6 days and I STILL don't have email confirmation that the reservation was cancelled. I also still don't have a refund to my account that she said would be coming. This was a HORRIBLE experience and no one should ever have to go through all of that with a rental car company. So please BEWARE!!! read more

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. There were many red flags that should have made me turn and get a car from a more reputable company before even booking. The price is what got me, and now it's costing me. I did not realize the rental office isn't with the others, you have to be shuttled off site, and that shuttle is very infrequent. When the shuttle finally arrived, they let us know that there was a 2-3 hour wait, because they're understaffed and can't turn over their returns fast enough. Why is that my fault? I decided to call customer service, which was very difficult to get a hold of someone, after they confirmed with the manager that there was an extensive wait they agreed they would cancel my reservation and refund my money. It's now a month later, no refund, getting the run around, can't get a hold of anyone, and my blood pressure is making me sweat dealing with them. Then when you finally get to the rental place a ton of people are just standing around ready to be helped and this blonde heavier set lady is just messing with the tv and music more concerned about the music playing over helping customers. Terribly run business. It sounds effortless and simple when you book but it is far from that. You walk in put your name on a lengthy wait list and for 2 hours have the opportunity to watch and listen one customer after the next go through the most inefficient way possible to rent cars. Not to mention the un professionalism, lack of customer care and inability of the employees to work with or simplify issues that arise. Personally, because my return flight was more than 5 days after I planned on returning the vehicle I was considered a local and required to show proof of local insurance. I'm not local so this was not possible therefore I couldn't not rent the vehicle. Regardless of my personal situation watching how this business is run for the past two hours was enough for the review. I rented a car with Easirent because it was promoted on Booking dot com (BDC) when I made my hotel rez and the price was good. BDC also promoted and sold me rental car insurance and told me it was ALL I NEEDED. Easirent is located off campus, meaning a 20 minute drive using a single unreliable shuttle from the Sky Harbor Car Rental Center, which itself is a train ride away from the airport. But that's not the worst part! The Easirent office had a single agent tending to 8 clients. It took me 90 minutes to get my car, and the agent refused to rent it to me if I did not buy additional insurance because the BDC miracle policy "was not adequate." Insane. Never again. read more

The only reason they are getting 1 star is because I can't give them zero. First of all (more of an fyi) Easirent is a company who's Phoenix airport pickup is actually outside of the airport. You have to walk to the visitor parking lot and wait for a shuttle. The shuttle then takes you to an off-site office. There is another company that does this as well, but the difference is that they have 3 shuttles come in the time that it takes Easirent to send one. When we arrived at the rental place we were with 3 other families. We were informed that they only had 1 car available. We were informed that they had "40 cars that were supposed to be returned" but that were still out. They claimed that they had no idea when a car would be available. After waiting 30-45 minutes they were able to find a car for us to use. Prior to obtaining the car, we had to pay what was explained to us as a "holding fee". Due to the craziness of the experience and the extensive amount of time we had spent just getting the car we admittedly did not pay as close attention as we should have to what we were signing. A few weeks after returning the car I kept checking to see if the amount had been refunded to our credit card and it hadn't. Upon further investigation what we had signed and paid for was actually additional insurance. This was insurance that we didn't need (as we had already purchased additional insurance, plus we had our own coverage) and wouldn't have agreed to had we understood and paid attention to what we were signing. I attempted to explain the situation and receive at least a partial refund, but they refused. Why didn't they have it in their system that we had already purchased additional insurance? Or did they know and they had us purchase more anyway. And they never asked for proof of our personal car insurance. While we were renting the car we realized that the registration in the glovebox did not match the license plates that were on the car. The registration was for different plate numbers on Florida plates. The plates on the car were Texas plates. As soon as I realized this I called the Phoenix office. The first thing the woman recommended was for us to come back to the rental office. I informed her that we were over 2 hours away and that we were not going to waste time and money on a mistake that they had made. I informed her that they needed to bring someone to us and bring the correct registration. The woman stated that I would need to speak with a manager. She told me that I should leave a message, explaining the situation and that someone would call me THAT DAY to resolve the issue. I never heard from anyone. I will NEVER use this company again and would highly recommend that you don't either. read more

1 star is too much. Booked a rental, took the shuttle to the location. The shuttle was in dire need of service. The brakes screamed at every stop as the van shuddered to a stop. I asked the driver if they had told their maintenance team about the brakes. She said they told her that they had "sent it to the shop" and was told it were fixed. Company better prepared for a wicked lawsuit when there is a crash due to the non-existent maintenance and repairs. Got to the location and there were several customers that appeared quite agitated. I approached the counter and was rebuked with "have you checked in?". Where would I do that? "The QR code on that wall." Maybe a bit better signage would help? Two other customers agreed. I then had to add the same information that I had when I made the reservation, plus photos of my driver's license had to be uploaded. The first thing I got asked for when I got to the counter was my licenses so they can scan it. Um, I just uploaded all that. "We still need it for a hard copy." Then I was asked all of the exact same questions I had just done online (so this is the 3rd time I am being asked the same thing). The entire place is chaotic, loud and about as unprofessional as you can get. I was asked for my flight number, my reply was I did not fly in, I drove, and my vehicle is in the shop for repairs. "Oh, then you get the local fee." This turns out to be the same price, but mandatory insurance coverage. Nope, not what I agreed to. "this is the way it is." Nope, not paying for that, my credit card and personal insurance will cover that just like if I flew in." The creature behind the counter started to argue and I cut her off and said NO. "Sir, can I speak?" No, you cannot. Cancel the reservation, this place is a clown show, not interested. Price would still have been lower than what I paid at a legitimate rental company, but the sense of impending doom surrounding this entire situation, room and the people was not worth saving a few pennies. Went to the shuttle to get taken back to the rental area at the airport to get a car from a different company, the driver asked why I was going back? I told her my experience and wondered how she tolerated that insane level of incompetence. Another passenger added that she was sent off with no contract and then got a call to get a license plate photo. They had no idea what car they gave her. Based on the level of chaos in the place, not surprising. This place is a huge joke. I cannot imagine the level of absurdity that would ensue if a real problem came up. read more

Dont waste your time. 4th person in line and took an hour to get a car. Rented a standard SUV because of the use of a mobility scooter . They first tried to put us in a Hyundai Venue which is a sub compact SUV which not fit the scooter. The second try was a Chevy Trax another sub compact. The last vehicle was a Chevy equinox which was dirty in bad condition and wet inside because they rinsed it of with a window down. stay away from this company read more

I wouldn't even give it one star. I prepaid for my rental months ahead and showed up to a TON of people waiting in line for hours. The employees were telling people they had zero cars left and were canceling everyone's bookings but would not give any details on the cancellation refund because they said refunds need to come from third parties like booking.com, Expedia, etc. All they did was take my name on a piece of paper and didn't even enter it in their system for a refund. Time will tell if I'll ever get my refund but they had so many people on site waiting for cars when there was literally NO CARS in sight. And they continued to shuttle people from the airport to the pickup office as if there were cars waiting for them. What a joke. I'll be reporting to BBB as well. read more

They said I just had to take whatever they had. When I opened the car door, it had a strong smell of wet dog and smoke, the lady that was giving me the keys, said she didnt smell it. The car was not full of gas and then later in the day when I opened the trunk, there was someone's backpack with personal belongings. It's obvious someone returned the car and they just gave it to me. They did not clean it or check it.- while I was waiting for the shuttle, I saw them rent it to someone else without being cleaned or checked. This is not a quick rental process at all. I experienced nothing but disaster with this company: From Sky Harbor Airport, I shlepped my luggage a long distance just to get to the pickup station. Waited over a half hour for their shuttle. Which never came. Paid for an Uber to get to 24th street, a half hour drive south. The staff of 6 on site wandered the room, while only one was at the registers. It took two hours to get my car, which I was told was brand new. (was one year old). No usb port. I was not given credit for the 2-hour delay but was told "You can file a complaint". On my way to Tucson the tire, filter and oil lights kept flashing. When I got to Tucson, I called for an exchange car and was told I needed to return the car to Phoenix to make the exchange. Received 2 vehicles not driveable upon check in. One with low tire pressure and the other had check engine light on. They did accommodate us however and the rental was great. What we didn't like was being given a cost for the glass coverage of which we thought was $14.99 total then upon recap of our bill at the counter, Krystal told us it was $114.40! We IMMEDIATELY declined it, but she said it had already been charged and she herself could not get the authorization to remove it. While still at the counter, Krystal said she was sending a message to her manager and assured us it would be taken care of by the time we returned our vehicle. Our rental was in June. Today is 9/16. To date I have emailed their customer service numerous times with NO response. I am a nonverbal customer and can't call anyone, so I also spoke to Rica via their chat feature. Very pleasant. Advised me there was NO record of Krystal even sending a message to a manager! At this point I'm thinking they do this on purpose because they don't think anyone will bother to keep trying to get in touch with them. They just pocket the $ even after the customer declined it! I'm emailing their CEO now. It'll be interesting to see if I get a response from him! Figured I'd post here in the hopes that at least someone from the company will reach out. I ended up having to rent from an onsite car rental place and it was miles better. don't waste your time with easirent. they wouldn't even answer the phone when i tried to called and find out where the shuttle was.
