I rented a car for 10 days at the Phoenix Easirent in Oct. 2025. I didn't realize the rental office wasn't at the airport. I got the shuttle to their nearby location within 30 min. Renting was easy, I received a nice 2025 Chevy Trailblazer comparable to the car I initially rented. I did purchase the extra tire and windshield insurance, because the on a previous trip, I crack the rental window and pay 3 times the price for replacement. Only had one issue with this rental, which is the security system on the car lock up after 7 days. This was solved within 45 minutes and a call to the rental company and then to the Chevy help line. They were both very helpful. The car ran great, good mileage. Return of car and a 30 min shuttle back to the airport went smoothly. Good rental price, so I would recommend if you want to save and don't mind taking a shuttle, and renting from a less know car rental firm. read more

I rented a vehicle here for a week while my car was in the shop, but the experience was nearly a disaster. Almost immediately after hitting the freeway, I noticed a loud, concerning noise coming from the rear end that sounded like a failing wheel bearing. Because my personal car was finished early, I returned the rental the following day. I expected a simple adjustment to my bill, but instead, I was met by a manager named "Lydia", who was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She flat-out refused to offer a refund for the unused days and insisted on charging me for the full 7-day rental despite the car being in poor mechanical condition. Her "nasty attitude" and lack of basic customer service skills were shocking for someone in a leadership role. I was ready to walk out and escalate the issue to corporate immediately. Thankfully, I encountered another manager, "Nolan", on my way out. Nolan is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. He actually listened, acknowledged the mechanical issues with the first car, and went above and beyond to make it right. He moved me into a much newer, safer vehicle and provided the level of service Lydia clearly lacks. Nolan outshined his peer in every way, but upper management seriously needs to have a conversation with Lydia about how she treats paying customers. This was hands-down one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. First, the pickup location was not at the Phoenix airport as clearly advertised online. We had to arrange separate transportation just to get to their off-site location--completely unacceptable for anyone flying in expecting airport pickup. Second, the vehicle we reserved--a Hyundai Santa Fe--was not available. We were given a "similar" vehicle, but it was significantly smaller and did not accommodate our luggage as expected. We had to put our bags in the back seat, making the ride cramped and uncomfortable for passengers. To top it off, the car was visibly dirty inside and out when we picked it up. Never, ever rent from them. In Phoenix it's not even in the rental car building. You need to wait at the rental car building for another shuttle that come once every 30 minutes if you are lucky. I waited 30 minutes for the shuttle and finally paid to take a taxi. From there it took another hour to rent the car. You must sign in on a clipboard, then sign in online, then sign in with a confirmation number that they give you on a sticky note. Absolutely an awful experience. I went the first I had an excellent customer service experience. Went back a few months later prepaid for the same vehicle (a traverse a 8 seater)to be picked up on a Friday at 4 pm. My boyfriend and I got there at 3 pm, got called up at almost 5 pm. The lady who called me up was busy running around like crazy because the two guys at the counter were just sitting there doing nothing but on his phone and the other one being rude to the customers he was with. She looked up my request and told me " oh we don't have anything to fulfill your request ". Mind you I prepaid $244.08 not one phone days prior or earlier in the day to inform me they didn't have a vehicle to accommodate my request. I asked if the had this reservation and knew they couldn't accommodate it why was i not informed. She did not have a response. She instead said they had an equinox. A vehicle that would not fit my family of 7 for our trip. I still was opened to taking that car. When my boyfriend, the lady, and myself went to see the car it was dirty on the outside which I can deal with, but what I couldn't deal with was the large crack in the windshield. From the lower passenger side to the top driver side. I refused the equinox. We went back to the office and the lady said they can provide me a full refund. Let's see answering the phone would be my first suggestion! Corp office couldn't even get in touch with them to resolve an issue we were having with our rental! The rental car itself wasn't in greatest shape. The alignment was so off the car would strongly pull to the left if you let go of steering wheel for split second. Then there was weird sound coming from front end of car when stopping or turning - like the axle was about to break. We called and called to try and get a replacement no one answers the phone. Corp suggested we go there but couldn't confirm if they could swap out vehicles because they didn't have anything other than a small car. We need an SUV and they wouldn't let us cancel for refund and go elsewhere. I do not recommend this place. read more

They canceled my reservation and left me stranded. When I booked through expedia I put in Phoenix airport. I didn't realize it wasn't on site. I had put my arrival time as pick up. Once I got my bags I realized I had to take the sky train to the car rental center, then go down and wait for a pickup. I waited over half an hour and it was another 10 min drive to the rental. By the time I got there they canceled my reservation completely and said there was nothing they could do for me. I was about 1.5 hours later than i reserved, but half of that time was due to the inconvenience of their location and the slowness of their shuttle service. Considering they are advertised at being at an airport they really should really have a better grace period considering flights commonly get delayed and their pickup is slow! Good- The staff was friendly and the rental car was nice. Bad- 1. It cannot be picked up from the airport. 2. You have to take the skytrain and stop at the last stop only to get off and walk a while to the area where the shuttle picks you up. 3. The instructions concerning where to go to wait for the shuttle should be more detailed. 4. The shuttle only runs every 30 minutes. 5. The shuttle takes you to the rental car center where they are understaffed. 6. Two people were at the counter checking people in, one person was outside inspecting vehicles, and one other person was trying to clean all of the cars before they could rent them out again. There were several people standing outside in the heat waiting for vehicles. We were there an hour and my husband took the car before it was cleaned or we may have been there 2 hours. The worst experience ever! First the paper work stated the rental pick up was at the airport. That is NOT the case. We took a 15 minute shuttle to what seemed to be an abandoned warehouse. There are no signs at the airport telling you where to go to get to the shuttle. When we finally got to the location, our car wasn't there so we were told we had to pay extra for something different. The car we were given was dirty, the steering wheel makes strange noises, the passenger window power button is broken, the key battery is low so getting it to lock is difficult and the wiper fluid was all out. Not a huge issue if they had more than one shuttle running, their direct competition had at least 3 shuttles. This is my third time to rent a car from Easirent. If you are flexible on dates, they have the best rates for some very comfortable cars. Just beware that their best rates may not be for every day you want, and if you try to extend, you may find the price doubled or tripled. I have enjoyed every card that I've rented from them, especially because I've been able to get some very low rates and saved a lot of money compared to your mainstream rental car agencies. Their offices are not going to be the nicest, and when they are busy, customer service may not be the best. Yeah so don't rent from this place! I waited at the airport for the shuttle from an early morning flight longer than 30 minutes in the heat. The shuttle driver was not friendly and did not open the shuttle door. Another male customer assisted with loading the bags. Arrived to the location of Easirent. The inside of the place was not clean. There were 3 people at the front desk, but only 1 was helping customers to which the 1 helping was irritated. After giving my ID I didn't realize I would be charged an "out of state" fee for my CA driver's license although I was staying in AZ. They make you walk around the vehicle and take your own video for damages. The cars were not cleaned as there was ashes in the front driver side dash/ window, you couldn't see out of the front windwindows, the tire pressure was not checked prior to re-renting the vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle I was told the tire pressure sensor was off because of the heat however 1. I have rented cars from other companies and never have i ever had to put air in rental car tires and 2. I had went to a tire shop for air and heat and tire pressure sensor was not an issue as it was checked and the tires were all brought to car regulation. Also, upon returning the vehicle I inquired about the $20 a day out of state charge and the young lady said she would make a note of it and somwone would contact me, and to drive the car into the garage. The experience with this vehicle was not only highly inconvenient but also dangerous for me and my family. After only a couple of hours of driving, I began to feel vibrations coming from the vehicle. As I continued on the highway and reached the speed limit of 75 mph, the shaking became significantly worse. I immediately contacted their office to report that the vehicle did not appear to be in safe driving condition. Unfortunately, the situation escalated. Classic scam, hidden fees, entrapment, avoid at all costs. Rented through a 3rd party app, I don't recall choosing Easirent, I must have picked the mystery cheap option by accident, would never do so on purpose. Upon arrival at the rental center after the sky train ride, you have to follow outside signs past all the counters, down stairs to a shuttle pickup on the lower level, where the shuttle theoretically comes around every 15 minutes. Just as we arrived, another customer gave up waiting and left. Taking a train to a shuttle pickup already had the alarm bells going off. Shuttle showed up eventually. Was a 10-15 minute ride. We are by now like 45-60 minutes along from when we got off the plane. Arrived at a somewhat seedy looking mixed-use storefront in a light industrial area, with a few cars in front and many more inside a windowed warehouse area behind. When you walk in, you have to put your name down on a clipboard and they will get to you eventually. We were clued in to the fees and charges by the guy before us. He made his reservation and paid in full six months ago, and now they're saying a "new" company policy requires additional charges be assessed? Retroactively? Yes. He was livid. Rightfully so. Nonrefundable charge for "glass and tire protection", no way to opt out. Maximum 150 miles per day, but you are welcome to purchase unlimited miles. Yay. And you thought you had paid for everything up front, just come in and grab keys, right? Wrong. They can't tell you how much the tires/glass and unlimited mileage costs are until they "build your profile" by taking all your personal info and car insurance info. Not the same from person to person. Nice. No flight back out of Phoenix booked yet? $500 deposit. Local resident? $500 deposit. Flight out more than seven days away? $500 deposit. I suspect every iteration of your reality somehow triggers the $500 deposit. While listening to all of this I was ready to cancel the reservation and shuttle back to the airport rental counters, but to my dismay discovered that their reservations needed to be canceled at least 2 hours prior to pickup, or else no refund. So we're already sunk into this 1-week rental for $550, and at this point it is less painful to let them scam you than cancel and cut your losses. We escaped the unlimited mileage thing because our stay was local, but ended up taking a hit of around $150 for the tires/glass fee. Now we are at $700 (+$500), way more than any reputable car rental firm would charge. One woman there before us literally had no way to provide the $500 surprise deposit, considering she had also prebooked and had every reason to believe everything was paid for. Unable to pay it, she had no option but to cancel (forfeiting all the money spent on the reservation) and call a friend to come pick her up. Straight up theft. After seeing how all that went, I made sure to take good video and photos of the car, with the building in the background, before leaving the lot, and did the same upon return, catching a timestamp on video as well. Much to my surprise, we did get the entire $500 deposit back without incident, but other reviews have made it clear that is not always true. Maybe they saw us making those records, lol. Also, the car was older, as far as rental cars go, with ~24,000 miles on it. It was... tidy... but not exactly "clean". Stained seats. Fingerprints. Still, to be fair, no actual operating issues with the car. This company sets you up with expectations that everything is handled and then has you captive and fleeces you with hidden charges, it all reeks of scam town. This was not "easy" at all. First of all, the rental center to actually get the car is 3 processes. Take the Sky Train to the airport car rental center, then walk to the PHX rental garage area, then wait for a shuttle (there is only 1) to pick you up and take you on a 6 min drive out of the airport. The wait for the car for me took 1.5 hours, which was also very unexpected. Then I was told, even though, I chose the collision insurance, that wasn't enough, because they require full coverage on the car, with added $200 to my rental. Lastly, from the time I dropped off my car, waited for help, took the shuttle back to the airport, and got to the check in at the airport was 1 hour and 10 minutes and they were not that busy. Some of the positives. The car was nice, the shuttle driver very friendly and the people at the rental counter were doing their best to be polite and handle the many unhappy customers. In all, between the added insurance and time it took to go through their lengthy process I spent about $150 more than I would have if I went through a more, well known car rental place. The car rental itself was about $100 cheaper than everyone else, but so not worth it. With more transparency on everything it could get better, because the customer would be more aware of it all. Beware of EasiRent. After 45 mins waiting to be picked up by their shuttle, you'll travel 10-15 mins to off-site office in a nearly abandoned industrial park. The when entering the office, they all be in the office behind the desk chit-chatting as you wonder if you're in the right place. Then when you ask, they'll yell out to you to scan their QR code to start the check in process. If you're lucky someone will emerge from the office and offer to check you in. As you check in, watch out for shenanigans such as: 1. TIRE & GLASS PACK - if you don't buy it, they state they will keep your deposit if there's any paint chips on the car when you return it. 2. CDW CHARGE - you'll tell them you have insurance, but they'll charge you for this CDW if you don't present your declarations page. They won't ask for it. You MUST do it on your own Don't wait for them to ask for it. 3. DON'T SHOW YOU THE CHARGES ON THE SCREEN: They don't show you the charges on the screen prior to you signing, like a normal rental company. They keep their screens turned away from the customers throughout the entire process and have you sign on little digital pen pads so you can't see the charges they're hitting you with. 4. DON'T PROVIDE COPIES OF EVERYTHING: After signing waivers (separate sheets of paper not in their system) they don't include those in the final paper work. 3. POOR CUSTOMER CARE - If you challenge their fees, check-in procedures, communication flaws. They'll argue with you and blame you for the breakdown of communication. 4. BOILER PLATE RESPONSES - Writing a review like this will end up with their boiler plate response of "Hello (name), thank you for leaving a review for Easirent Car Rental Phoenix Airport. We are disappointed your experience with Easirent is not as high as we expect and we want to do better! Even though I've already contacted customer services through the manage my booking, I expect to get see this same response because boiler plate responses mean they aren't truly reading their reviews. 4. UNWILLING TO CONSIDER REFUNDS - Even after outlining all of their shortcomings in their check-in process, inconsistencies in the contract vs. how they run their business, and failures to communicate clearly, they'll deny any refunds because you won't have the paperwork you need (missing waivers) to fight them on anything. MORE CONSIDERATIONS: 1. After driving away for 20 mins or so, the air freshener smell wore off and the car reeked of weed. Maybe stick around before leaving to avoid this. 2. They don't have you fill out the forms to identify paint chips, damages, etc. They do it for you and have you sign it. Pretty convenient way to do things when you're gunning to keep someone's deposit from a simple paint chip. 3. When you return your car, you won't know where to go or do it because nothing is clearly marked. After simply parking the car in one of the spaces, I was told by Davonta he'd be right with me. Then I watched 2 more vehicles come up and park in random places as well. Of course, even though I was the first person to arrive, I was the last one Davonta helped. KEY TAKEAWAY I rented cars from both NuCar and Easirent during my last visit to Phoenix. If you're looking for a value rental, with a company that doesn't pull fast ones on you, go with NuCar. I will resist my desire to get an inexpensive rental car, and will never do this again. The people are very nice; shuttle drivers and staff in the office. The car choices were bad and worse. Wound up with one that had a cracked windshield - probably illegal - but better than the one whose seat could not be adjusted for my short legs. I knew that there would be another off-site shuttle necessary after the Sky Train, and if the car had been acceptable that would have been OK. This is not an airport location as advertised. There is an intermittent shuttle to the airport (once every thirty minutes, they say), but it only goes to the *actual* airport car rental center, not the terminal. You then have to take the Air Train from the *actual* car rental center to the terminal. The whole process is time consuming and someone who does not budget enough time could easily miss a flight. I never purchase insurance when renting cars, but unlike every other car rental company I have dealt with in recent memory, Easirent required me to purchase their insurance, which more than doubled the cost of my rental. What's more, they were deliberately misleading about the charges. They told me the total was $183 at checkout. I very clearly asked if that included all charges and they said yes. Only later did I realize that I had previously paid the car rental fee of $176 through Expedia and that the $180 at checkout was an additional fee for insurance. I thought I was spending $180, but I was actually charged $360. As far as I am concerned, they lied. The car itself was okay, but not great. A little old, scratched and dented in places, and the AC did not work that well. I will not use this rental company again. It would have been cheaper and more convenient to use one of the major national rental companies. read more
