I went the first I had an excellent customer service experience. Went back a few months later prepaid for the same vehicle (a traverse a 8 seater)to be picked up on a Friday at 4 pm. My boyfriend and I got there at 3 pm, got called up at almost 5 pm. The lady who called me up was busy running around like crazy because the two guys at the counter were just sitting there doing nothing but on his phone and the other one being rude to the customers he was with. She looked up my request and told me " oh we don't have anything to fulfill your request ". Mind you I prepaid $244.08 not one phone days prior or earlier in the day to inform me they didn't have a vehicle to accommodate my request. I asked if the had this reservation and knew they couldn't accommodate it why was i not informed. She did not have a response. She instead said they had an equinox. A vehicle that would not fit my family of 7 for our trip. I still was opened to taking that car. When my boyfriend, the lady, and myself went to see the car it was dirty on the outside which I can deal with, but what I couldn't deal with was the large crack in the windshield. From the lower passenger side to the top driver side. I refused the equinox. We went back to the office and the lady said they can provide me a full refund. Months of calling not getting any response from them I called and disputed the charge. They told my bank I never showed up and and cancelled without 24 hour notice. My bank sided with them because they wouldn't provide video of the day, and they showed that I picked up a vehicle. Good- The staff was friendly and the rental car was nice. Bad- 1. It cannot be picked up from the airport. 2. You have to take the skytrain and stop at the last stop only to get off and walk a while to the area where the shuttle picks you up. 3. The instructions concerning where to go to wait for the shuttle should be more detailed. 4. The shuttle only runs every 30 minutes. 5. The shuttle takes you to the rental car center where they are understaffed. 6. Two people were at the counter checking people in, one person was outside inspecting vehicles, and one other person was trying to clean all of the cars before they could rent them out again. There were several people standing outside in the heat waiting for vehicles. We were there an hour and my husband took the car before it was cleaned or we may have been there 2 hours. This is not at the airport! I rented through CheapOair not realizing that this car rental company is located a ways away from the airport. There are no signs at the airport telling you where to go to get to the shuttle. When we finally got to the location, our car wasn't there so we were told we had to pay extra for something different. The car we were given was dirty, the steering wheel makes strange noises, the passenger window power button is broken, the key battery is low so getting it to lock is difficult and the wiper fluid was all out. This is my third time to rent a car from Easirent. If you are flexible on dates, they have the best rates for some very comfortable cars. Just beware that their best rates may not be for every day you want, and if you try to extend, you may find the price doubled or tripled. I have enjoyed every card that I've rented from them, especially because I've been able to get some very low rates and saved a lot of money compared to your mainstream rental car agencies. We had to wait an additional 45 minutes. If you don't have the declaration page from your insurance company, you are required to purchase their insurance. The shuttle driver was not friendly and did not open the shuttle door. Another male customer assisted with loading the bags. Arrived to the location of Easirent. The inside of the place was not clean. There were 3 people at the front desk, but only 1 was helping customers to which the 1 helping was irritated. After giving my ID I didn't realize I would be charged an "out of state" fee for my CA driver's license although I was staying in AZ. They make you walk around the vehicle and take your own video for damages. The cars were not cleaned as there was ashes in the front driver side dash/ window, you couldn't see out of the front windwindows, the tire pressure was not checked prior to re-renting the vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle I was told the tire pressure sensor was off because of the heat however 1. I have rented cars from other companies and never have i ever had to put air in rental car tires and 2. I had went to a tire shop for air and heat and tire pressure sensor was not an issue as it was checked and the tires were all brought to car regulation. Also, upon returning the vehicle I inquired about the $20 a day out of state charge and the young lady said she would make a note of it and somwone would contact me, and to drive the car into the garage. Classic scam, hidden fees, entrapment, avoid at all costs. Rented through a 3rd party app, I don't recall choosing Easirent, I must have picked the mystery cheap option by accident, would never do so on purpose. Upon arrival at the rental center after the sky train ride, you have to follow outside signs past all the counters, down stairs to a shuttle pickup on the lower level, where the shuttle theoretically comes around every 15 minutes. Just as we arrived, another customer gave up waiting and left. Taking a train to a shuttle pickup already had the alarm bells going off. Shuttle showed up eventually. Was a 10-15 minute ride. We are by now like 45-60 minutes along from when we got off the plane. Arrived at a somewhat seedy looking mixed-use storefront in a light industrial area, with a few cars in front and many more inside a windowed warehouse area behind. When you walk in, you have to put your name down on a clipboard and they will get to you eventually. We were clued in to the fees and charges by the guy before us. He made his reservation and paid in full six months ago, and now they're saying a "new" company policy requires additional charges be assessed? Retroactively? Yes. He was livid. Rightfully so. Nonrefundable charge for "glass and tire protection", no way to opt out. Maximum 150 miles per day, but you are welcome to purchase unlimited miles. Yay. And you thought you had paid for everything up front, just come in and grab keys, right? Wrong. They can't tell you how much the tires/glass and unlimited mileage costs are until they "build your profile" by taking all your personal info and car insurance info. Not the same from person to person. Nice. No flight back out of Phoenix booked yet? $500 deposit. Local resident? $500 deposit. Flight out more than seven days away? $500 deposit. I suspect every iteration of your reality somehow triggers the $500 deposit. While listening to all of this I was ready to cancel the reservation and shuttle back to the airport rental counters, but to my dismay discovered that their reservations needed to be canceled at least 2 hours prior to pickup, or else no refund. So we're already sunk into this 1-week rental for $550, and at this point it is less painful to let them scam you than cancel and cut your losses. We escaped the unlimited mileage thing because our stay was local, but ended up taking a hit of around $150 for the tires/glass fee. Now we are at $700 (+$500), way more than any reputable car rental firm would charge. One woman there before us literally had no way to provide the $500 surprise deposit, considering she had also prebooked and had every reason to believe everything was paid for. Unable to pay it, she had no option but to cancel (forfeiting all the money spent on the reservation) and call a friend to come pick her up. Straight up theft. After seeing how all that went, I made sure to take good video and photos of the car, with the building in the background, before leaving the lot, and did the same upon return, catching a timestamp on video as well. Much to my surprise, we did get the entire $500 deposit back without incident, but other reviews have made it clear that is not always true. Maybe they saw us making those records, lol. Also, the car was older, as far as rental cars go, with ~24,000 miles on it. It was... tidy... but not exactly "clean". Stained seats. Fingerprints. Still, to be fair, no actual operating issues with the car. This company sets you up with expectations that everything is handled and then has you captive and fleeces you with hidden charges, it all reeks of scam town. The experience with this vehicle was not only highly inconvenient but also dangerous for me and my family. After only a couple of hours of driving, I began to feel vibrations coming from the vehicle. As I continued on the highway and reached the speed limit of 75 mph, the shaking became significantly worse. I immediately contacted their office to report that the vehicle did not appear to be in safe driving condition. Unfortunately, the situation escalated. The vibration intensified, the wheels began shaking severely, and a loud rattling noise could be heard from within the vehicle. It felt as though the car was falling apart while in motion. This was not "easy" at all. First of all, the rental center to actually get the car is 3 processes. Take the Sky Train to the airport car rental center, then walk to the PHX rental garage area, then wait for a shuttle (there is only 1) to pick you up and take you on a 6 min drive out of the airport. The wait for the car for me took 1.5 hours, which was also very unexpected. Then I was told, even though, I chose the collision insurance, that wasn't enough, because they require full coverage on the car, with added $200 to my rental. Lastly, from the time I dropped off my car, waited for help, took the shuttle back to the airport, and got to the check in at the airport was 1 hour and 10 minutes and they were not that busy. Some of the positives. The car was nice, the shuttle driver very friendly and the people at the rental counter were doing their best to be polite and handle the many unhappy customers. In all, between the added insurance and time it took to go through their lengthy process I spent about $150 more than I would have if I went through a more, well known car rental place. The car rental itself was about $100 cheaper than everyone else, but so not worth it. With more transparency on everything it could get better, because the customer would be more aware of it all. Beware of EasiRent. After 45 mins waiting to be picked up by their shuttle, you'll travel 10-15 mins to off-site office in a nearly abandoned industrial park. The when entering the office, they all be in the office behind the desk chit-chatting as you wonder if you're in the right place. Then when you ask, they'll yell out to you to scan their QR code to start the check in process. If you're lucky someone will emerge from the office and offer to check you in. As you check in, watch out for shenanigans such as: 1. TIRE & GLASS PACK - if you don't buy it, they state they will keep your deposit if there's any paint chips on the car when you return it. 2. CDW CHARGE - you'll tell them you have insurance, but they'll charge you for this CDW if you don't present your declarations page. They won't ask for it. You MUST do it on your own Don't wait for them to ask for it. 3. DON'T SHOW YOU THE CHARGES ON THE SCREEN: They don't show you the charges on the screen prior to you signing, like a normal rental company. They keep their screens turned away from the customers throughout the entire process and have you sign on little digital pen pads so you can't see the charges they're hitting you with. 4. DON'T PROVIDE COPIES OF EVERYTHING: After signing waivers (separate sheets of paper not in their system) they don't include those in the final paper work. 3. POOR CUSTOMER CARE - If you challenge their fees, check-in procedures, communication flaws. They'll argue with you and blame you for the breakdown of communication. 4. BOILER PLATE RESPONSES - Writing a review like this will end up with their boiler plate response of "Hello (name), thank you for leaving a review for Easirent Car Rental Phoenix Airport. We are disappointed your experience with Easirent is not as high as we expect and we want to do better! Even though I've already contacted customer services through the manage my booking, I expect to get see this same response because boiler plate responses mean they aren't truly reading their reviews. 4. UNWILLING TO CONSIDER REFUNDS - Even after outlining all of their shortcomings in their check-in process, inconsistencies in the contract vs. how they run their business, and failures to communicate clearly, they'll deny any refunds because you won't have the paperwork you need (missing waivers) to fight them on anything. MORE CONSIDERATIONS: 1. After driving away for 20 mins or so, the air freshener smell wore off and the car reeked of weed. Maybe stick around before leaving to avoid this. 2. They don't have you fill out the forms to identify paint chips, damages, etc. They do it for you and have you sign it. Pretty convenient way to do things when you're gunning to keep someone's deposit from a simple paint chip. 3. When you return your car, you won't know where to go or do it because nothing is clearly marked. After simply parking the car in one of the spaces, I was told by Davonta he'd be right with me. Then I watched 2 more vehicles come up and park in random places as well. Of course, even though I was the first person to arrive, I was the last one Davonta helped. KEY TAKEAWAY I rented cars from both NuCar and Easirent during my last visit to Phoenix. If you're looking for a value rental, with a company that doesn't pull fast ones on you, go with NuCar. Other then NuCar asking if I wanted a special deal on an upgrade, I didn't encounter any of these issues with them. The experience was 100 times better than Easirent. read more

This is not an airport location as advertised. There is an intermittent shuttle to the airport (once every thirty minutes, they say), but it only goes to the *actual* airport car rental center, not the terminal. You then have to take the Air Train from the *actual* car rental center to the terminal. The whole process is time consuming and someone who does not budget enough time could easily miss a flight. I never purchase insurance when renting cars, but unlike every other car rental company I have dealt with in recent memory, Easirent required me to purchase their insurance, which more than doubled the cost of my rental. What's more, they were deliberately misleading about the charges. They told me the total was $183 at checkout. I very clearly asked if that included all charges and they said yes. Only later did I realize that I had previously paid the car rental fee of $176 through Expedia and that the $180 at checkout was an additional fee for insurance. I thought I was spending $180, but I was actually charged $360. As far as I am concerned, they lied. The car itself was okay, but not great. A little old, scratched and dented in places, and the AC did not work that well. I will not use this rental company again. It would have been cheaper and more convenient to use one of the major national rental companies. read more

Negative 1,000,000 stars: offsite location with a shuttle bus that takes 1 hour+ to arrive at airport; however, they will not open in morning for return, so you will still have to pay for a rideshare to airport. I booked a car through Priceline in Aug 2025 for a large SUV. We arrived to disorganized chaos. No system for checking people in, no staff greeting customers, no informing customers of a wait system. An agent announced, "Does anyone have a booking for a large SUV?" I immediately answered yes; the agent looked at me and and proceeded to give the last large SUV to the family at the counter. Mind you we were on time. After 30 minutes I approached the counter and asked one of agents if they had a system for checking in customers and they pointed to a clipboard without making eye contact...1.5 hours LATER we were called and shown a full size SUV with a SHATTERED passenger window and what looked like bullet holes in the passenger door!!! After having to haggle, we were downgraded and given a small SUV crossover--the agents tried to convince me that a DODGE CHARGER was a comparable car! We were told to come back the next day to exchange the car for a full size SUV. The next day we called for several hours to see if the car arrived. NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE, so we were forced to drive there only to be told, "Oh we never answer the phone because we're always busy." Nevertheless, THEY DID NOT HAVE THE FULL SIZE SUV. Furthermore, we were expected to return the car by 8:30am and were told "oh we won't be open at that time." We dropped the key in their lock box and still had to PAY to take a rideshare back to the airport. Furthermore, Priceline agents tell me that Easirent must answer their phone call or emails to approve my partial refund for having my rental downgraded---THREE MONTHS LATER and neither one has helped me. TAKE HEED to the reviews from 2025 which were HIDDEN as "not recommended." Because my review is the honest truth it will probably be sent to the hidden abyss as well. The cheap price is NOT worth your time not your hassle with this car rental company. They are the worse car rental agents I have dealt with in my life. Review for Easy Rent This company was anything but "easy." We picked up our rental car from a secondary location at the Courtyard Marriott in Houston, Texas. At pickup, we were told we had to pay $15 per day for toll coverage we might encounter, or else we would be charged the toll plus a $25 penalty for every toll used. This felt excessive and coercive, but we proceeded because we needed the car. After leaving the location, we drove straight to our destination. The next day, we drove about 50 minutes away. On the return drive, a faulty brake light warning came on, advising us to drive the vehicle to a dealership. Concerned about safety, we immediately contacted Easy Rent and requested a replacement vehicle. We were told they do not provide replacement vehicles, even though it had been less than 24 hours since pickup. When we asked to speak to a supervisor, we were hung up on. After calling back multiple times and repeatedly requesting a supervisor, we were placed on hold indefinitely. Only after Priceline intervened did Easy Rent give us options: either tow the car at our own expense or drive it back, despite the fact that the vehicle was potentially unsafe. We made it clear this was a liability and dangerous. Eventually, we were instructed to call roadside assistance to have it "evaluated." Roadside assistance informed us they only tow vehicles, they do not evaluate them. Ultimately, roadside assistance towed the car to a dealership. We immediately notified Easy Rent of the towing location and requested to speak with someone regarding a full refund. This occurred on December 13, 2025. As of December 16, 2025, we have not spoken to anyone about a refund. However, Easy Rent did call us to ask where the car was and why it wasn't returned on December 15 per the rental agreement, completely ignoring the fact that the vehicle was unsafe and towed with their knowledge. Between the poor vehicle condition, lack of accountability, unsafe expectations, and unacceptable customer service, I would strongly advise others to avoid Easy Rent. Car Rental Review: Easirent at Phoenix Sky Harbor - Stay Far Away! I reserved a mid-size SUV for $29.00/day with unlimited mileage while my car was in the shop. Wanting flexibility with my return time, I chose pickup at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport since many companies there accept returns 24/7. I found a deal through a third-party site (I had points to use) with Easirent, advertising a Toyota RAV4 or similar. This is where things went downhill fast. When I got to the airport, I couldn't find Easirent anywhere. I tried calling the reservation line multiple times--no answer. An airport worker finally told me I needed to walk to the visitor parking area outside the rental center (about a 10-minute walk) to catch a shuttle. I called again to ask about shuttle timing. The man who answered barely gave me any info, told me shuttles run every 15-30 minutes, and hung up quickly. He said I'd receive a link to track the shuttle, but the link didn't work. After 25 minutes waiting in 113°F heat, the shuttle finally arrived--a hot, stuffy van that took another 15 minutes to get to the rental location. Red flag: the building looked extremely sketchy--no signage, barely marked. Inside, it was uncomfortably warm. The woman at the desk ignored me at first, then rudely asked if I was picking up or dropping off. I said I was picking up, handed over my ID, and was immediately hit with, "Since you're a local renter, there's a $500 deposit." I was quoted $250 over the phone, and no one ever asked if I was local during booking. I asked if it was still $500 with a credit card--she said yes. Then another employee chimed in: "There's also a 150-mile-per-day limit for locals." I was stunned. My rental confirmation clearly stated unlimited mileage. When I showed them, their response was, "That's only for out-of-state renters--locals get limited miles unless you pay an extra $25/day for unlimited." Complete bait-and-switch. They blamed the third-party company for not disclosing it, but that's not my fault as the customer. It was clear I was being scammed. I told them I wanted to cancel. They said the reservation was non-refundable. I called the third-party site, who said Easirent would have to approve the refund. The woman behind the counter said, "I'll cancel it. You can go find another company." As I stood outside in the heat, waiting for a ride home with no car, I started reading more reviews--and saw horror stories just like mine. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen them earlier. Bottom line: DO NOT rent from Easirent. It's not worth the stress, lies, and shady behavior. I've rented from Enterprise, Hertz, and SIXT before--never had these issues. Their deposits are reasonable ($200), and when they say unlimited mileage, they actually mean it. I was so hopeful that I would have an easy transaction during my trip. However, my experience was anything but easy. The pick up location is several miles from the airport, and transportation to the location runs every 30-45 mintutes, which is too long to wait when you have a schedule to which you must adhere. When I finally arrived at the pick up location, they were assisting once person, and there was one in front of me (it was around 6:15). By the time I was assisted and my car was pulled around it was dark outside (after 8) and I couldn't inspect the car for damages. The car was fine, but the wait time made the whole experience completely unacceptable. If you don't mind the long wait times and the extra travel to get the car, this may be an ok option for you, but if you need effeciency, just be aware. read more

No shuttle service despite phone system stating shuttle runs every 30 min. Took taxi from airport rental car center to "actual" location after waiting 45 min with no shuttle. NIGHTMARE Experience This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had. We arrived at 1pm to pick up our rental car and were stuck in line for over an hour and half. When we finally got our vehicle. the side mirror was hanging off, and within one block of driving, the AC COMPRESSOR KEPT GOING OUT and this was in 115 Arizona heat and driving to Vegas we need AC. We brought the car back immediately, only to be told they were out of vehicles and had to wait an additional three hours to get another one. By the time replacement was finally available. it was already 6pm our entire day was ruined needless to say. ABSOLUTELY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This was the worst rental car experience we have ever had and i am 51 years old. It started out with us waiting 25 minutes for the shuttle. The pickup of the shuttle was not good, the driver was so slow getting out of the car and didnt help load our bags into the shuttle. His attitude was "I dont care". When we arrived, we were first in line and i was just sitting there in front of her while she was doing other work! When I asked what she was doing. she informed me that she had other work to do before she could help me. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, they informed all 15 of us waiting for our vehicles that there was only 1 car available! There wasnt even a simple "sorry" or any kind of apology. They then said if we weren't happy we could just go somewhere else! One woman had flown in from Australia and was so upset. Another man had his whole family with 3 kids and no car. They told us we could leave or we would have to wait for the cars to come in. The one woman at the counter told us not to get mad at her because "I just work here". Keep in mind we were at the rental car place with nothing around us. The manager then made an appearance and she was even more unapologetic than the employee. She said "someone left on me yesterday, please dont make another person leave". Everyone was being so polite, yet they were acting like they were being abused - it was totally bizarre. Since we were first in line i got the only car they had but it was not the type of car we reserved, which was a Medium sized SUV. We received a SUB COMPACT suv, which is the smallest one you can get. They also told me if there was a chip in the windshield we would have to pay to replace the entire windshield! Worse part about it is that when we got to the car there was already a chip in it, which means they are charging customers over $1000 for a new windshield and then keeping the money. Do not, I repeat, do not rent a car from this place (EASIRENT). I got to Phoenix on 4/23 me and a few of their customers had to wait about 40 minutes for a shuttle (we were told by the shuttle driver she was the only one working). Then we were told by the shuttle driver that it would be a 2-hour wait once we got there. Me and every customer did not get on that shuttle. Guess what, now they don't want to do a refund. Try calling, see what you get. NO ONE PICKS UP. I EMAILED NOW I DID GET responses, BUT NOBODY KNOWS WHAT TO DO. DO NOT, I REPEAT, GO WITH THIS COMPANY.
