Late post but necessary first week of June 2017 we came here with another couple for brunch... we were told by the waitress that they had come out with a breakfast menu so we all thought great let's try this... our mistake. Eggs were under done, food was cold and not cooked throughly, service was unfortunately pretty slow... disappointed we decided we needed to speak with the manager re the food. Response was that they had just come out with the breakfast menu and the staff in the back aren't used it yet... ok but how does one not know how to make eggs... thankfully the manager did take care of the bill ... we barely had had two bites...fear of getting sick with raw under cooked food... I've been to other Earls restaurants and not had any food concerns ... just shocked that this location would be lacking in food quality. I do not recommend this location read more

Everyone enjoyed their meals. Cajun chicken, burger and baked salmon were all delicious. Wait staff friendly and solicitous. Great stop for a big lunch or dinner while touring Banff. read more

I had the ribs, half rack. Small portion, 6 bones. Slaw was good and the warm potato salad. Everything was good but not a big meal. Wait staff seemed more interested in jawing with each other than worrying about service. The place was mostly empty. Beer was good, not a huge selection served in really heavy glasses, strange read more

Terrible service at this restaurant. Let me rephrase that. No Service. We left. Pathetic. read more

Very disappointed. The hostess in the bar was rude and unhelpful, though the waitress in the bar was great. When we went upstairs for dinner, the second round of drinks was nowhere as good as down in the bar (including a Mojito with a brown, rotten mint leaf!). Dinner itself was a mixed experience: good hamburgers, but the Cajun chicken sandwich had a really tiny bit of chicken. Finally the service at dinner was poor and inattentive. You can do a LOT better in Banff than this! read more

JALAPEÑO MARGARITA, so damn good! We happened to just walk into this place because it didn't have a wait. We enjoyed the food so so much!! They have happy hour daily from 3pm-6pm and from 9pm-12am. Definitely worth the stop!! read more

Family of 5: started with the prawn and mango rolls; they were really good. The hamburger was mediocre, chicken tacos were pretty basic, but the side Thai soup was good. Two orders of fettuccine Alfredo were a complete rip off at $19. Barely any chicken and/or prawns and NO Alfredo sauce. The noodles were scant and tossed with oil and Parmesan. The half rack of ribs were good. The waitress was very friendly. Overall, I would recommend going elsewhere. Shouldn't be that costly. read more

I went to earls yesterday and it was a horrible experience first of all my drinks were served with 20 minutes apart so I sat there and watchedmy cousins drinks sit there and not as a bartender had no idea what are used my Caesar was black because it had so much wortchesire in it as well as my second drink that I gave them a second chance on my Moscow Mule Chase tasted so Sweet it was just of ginger beer it was ridiculous our pasta was so dry and gross it was inedible it was so dry we are looking forward to it all day I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone if you're going somewhere and bad please don't go here because it's a waste of your money read more

Bad attitude to us maybe we are not white people. Very uncomfortable I felt that moment.

$5 margs on tuesday plus daily late night happy hour specials. Shuttle from resort drops off right in front

Earls probably has one of the best burgers I ever had. The experience was amazing. It's a bit crowded but in a good way. I got to see the hockey championship. I got priority seating so I got to sit down and eat without waiting forever in line so I would recommend doing that. The dessert was really tasty. I got a ice cream sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and nuts. I don't have any photos because I was too busy eating. read more

Lounge service horrible been to this earls 2 times since Oct, had a painful wait ... Not even a menu brought over - Not busy at all so we upstairs. At least we got service stairs but with a long wait again , no water refill asked for more pops never received, appys forgotten. Earls needs to reflect there name at this location. read more

Was there last night for an outstanding supper, plus half off wine on Tuesday!!! The wait staff is exceptional, the restaurant is upstairs bar is downstairs. The ambiance and environment of this place are perfect for your vacation in Banff. read more

Very friendly wait staff. We ordered the 16 Oz. Ribeye medium rare and the full rack of ribs. The steak was so tender. Very tender and paired with rich mashed potatoes and I think sweet potatoes. The ribs were fall off the bone and very good. The coleslaw it was paired with was on par but not excellent. We also had the mushroom soup which was very creamy. Would recommend! read more

We are traveling from California. Absolutely delicious food. Had the warm kale and chicken salad and loved it. It may be one of the best salads I've had In my life. I also had the frozen vodka lemonade and it was delish. Wonderful atmosphere and decor. If you're looking for a higher level than casual, but not too upscale this is the place. read more

Absolute trash service. Waited 20 min for not a single bartender to acknowledge our party of 6. Ended up asking the host for a water. Waited another 10 for a bartender to come get our drink order. read more

Always good, some of the best Caesar salad around, and I love my Caesars. Its pretty consistent everywhere and has good prices considering the large menu presented at all locations. I will continue to visit them when I come up to my homeland :) read more

Located in the beautiful town of Banff, Earl's is a great option to chow down after a long day of sightseeing. We sat in the lounge area which was nice because it wasn't as crowded and service was great. We shared the oregano-rosemary bread which was warm and freshly baked and highly recommended! For entrees we had the Dominical Fish tacos which were fresh tasting and contained a nice slaw in each soft taco that added a good crunch. We also had the margarita pizza which was also quite tasty. The ingredients were very good quality and the crust was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Overall, a great dining experience and service was attentive, friendly and prompt. Good prices and definitely recommended! read more

Popped in for a late dinner as they were open till late. Their second floor has the restaurant and the ground floor is more a bar/pub. Went to the restaurant and ordered 2 steaks and another order of tacos. Ordered the steak in Medium plus, got a well done and the other steak was just burned. Told the waiter and he told me that the steak chef went home so he couldn't do anything about it. I have been told the tacos were pretty good. Overall a Meh. They do have a good bar scene though. read more

This Restaurant has a nice ambiance upstairs. Better if you can get a window. Everyone raves about the clam chowder. Yes it's chunky and tasty but these are canned clams and the chowder is on the salty side. Sorry I've been spoilt by fresh chowder on the coast, but for land lubbers this one will do. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Glasses of wine are ridiculously expensive. Pleasant place though when not busy. read more

Very nice place. Good service, good vibe and better than average food. We especially loved the spinach cheese dip and the chili chicken wontons. read more

Me and my boyfriend were in town for the week and were looking for some delicious steak and pork ribs, we can across earls and I've got to say the bbq pork ribs were the best I've had! Steak was super tender and juicy and cooked to perfection! Food didn't take long at all and we definitely recommend this too anyone staying in banff!!!! everything was beautifully seasoned and will for sure be coming back soon!!! read more

Pizza was incredible, great atmosphere and friendly service.

Not great for vegetarians but the edamame apeitizer was the best we have had. The dark beer was great too--Albinorhino produced by Big Rock Brewery in Calgary. A friendly environment. Upstairs--might be challenging to get up their with elders or children. We had the margarita pizza--decent. read more

Love the food here. Chilli chicken is always a favourite. Love that their penne sauce is light and still flavourful. When it is busy service lacks. read more

Visiting from Chicago, we blindly chose this restaurant and were rewarded. Although the female staff were dressed in attire that seemed better suited for a nightclub rather than a sit down dinner, they were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional. The seating was oh so comfortable after a day hiking in the mountains. The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly and was garnished in a way that enhanced but didn't cover over the steak's delicious flavor. Come to Chicago, Earl's! read more

Menu great if you like burgers, steaks, etc. Ordered ribs which were delicious fall off the bone with a unique and tasty warm potato salad. Starter house salad with candied pecans, apples, and feta very good and not over-dressed. Caesar Salad overdressed. Service was very friendly and attentive. I tend to like a more inventive menu but execution was solid. read more

This place did not disappoint! I've had many painkiller cocktails including ones in the Caribbean were they originated and this one was one of the best I've had! The chili chicken and wontons were also absolutely delicious. I would comeback here in a heartbeat. Had an excellent server as well! read more

Amazing happy hour menu, great food, waitresses are easy on the eyes with accents, good views from second floor overlooking mountains. Our friend, Jeff, literally wanted to eat here every day on our five day trip that we had to actively convince him to try a different place it was that good. Yum. read more

Spent the weekend in Banff, of course restaurants are going to be busy. I tried calling in few hours before to make a reservation, but sadly they don't take them. Once we arrived, they told us it'd take 40 minutes to be seated upstairs in the proper dinning area. Luckily they have a lounge downstairs which allows you to sit at whatever table. We get to ordering our drinks and we asked for NO ice in a Diet Coke. The waitress comes back with the Diet Coke FULL of ice. We remind her we did not want ice in the Diet Coke so the waitress brings it back with less. We ordered it with NO ICE. At that point things started to get more frustrating, it's like she wasn't listening to us. We were trying to be clear as possible. She got some of the orders wrong, some food fell off the plate onto the floor. She picked up the food on the floor with her bare hands and didn't wash her hands when she put some of the salad dangling back on the plate. I understand being a waitress can be difficult at times, but I wasn't really able to tell if the service was bad or if the waitress was having a bad day. With having all these events happen before the food arrived I thought the food would be mediocre too, but it was actually good. read more

Great food. The Salmon Zen Bowl was fantastic, and Margarita Monday was just what we needed after a long day of skiing.

My husband and I visited Earls while traveling through Banff. We arrived on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was packed, loud and busy. Our server, Kendra, took our order quickly. After about 20 minutes Kendra came to us to let us know that there was some kind of snafu in the kitchen, and that our meals were going to be a bit longer. She brought us some delicious focaccia on the house for us to eat while we were waiting. We eventually got our meals, which were delicious and exactly what we ordered. At the end, Kendra comped our meals because of the long wait, which was unexpected but incredibly thoughtful. I'm giving it 4 stars because the wait did happen, however if it was possible to review a person, Kendra would be getting 5 stars! read more

Really good service. Pretty good food. Too much zucchini in my roasted vegetable quesadilla. It also lacked a bit of cheese. Yummy yam fries! read more

We had a quite enjoyable visit to this upscale casual restaurant. Our server was personable but not obsequious; the appetizer and entrees were all above average. As a 60-something I sometimes worry that places like this will be too noisy or hipster-y but Earls is neither. read more

We came to banff for a family vacation. Once we checked into our hotel we stopped off at Earl's to eat as we've never been disappointed before. My youngest is type 1 diabetic (life threatening autoimmune diseases). We had to park a ways away and walk to the restaurant which was completely fine after traveling. When we got to the restaurant my youngest was low (lows he can die from). We had already ran out of snack in hit bag that we didnt notice. I asked the waitress for a apple juice and soda crackers. I had to ask two more time and she kept ignoring us. I had to ask another waitress for a apple juice but no soda crackers. They really need to educate there staff on diseases like this as my son can die from lows. I never had a issue paying for anything extra but lows need to be treated quickly. read more

You can see Earl's from Banff Ave and and smell the delicious smells over a block away, so best not walking past if hungry. You walk in through the door off the street and to your right is the bar and then a set of stairs down to a pit I'm told (joking) and a semi-steep flight of stairs to the dining area above. There aren't any bad seats, but if you can grab a window seat as there are breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains as well as views of the street below (we caught view of a hockey game on the public ice across the street). The waiter was polite and attentive, but didn't cross the line into the uncomfortable "hover zone". He gave us a recommendation for an appetizer which we took ordering the spicy chicken with wontons. It was a great appetizer, but on the spicy side and with portion enough for a full meal for one. My wife ordered the fettucini alfredo and said it was well done. I ordered the rack of ribs with the Cajun chicken, side of slaw, and a side of potato salad. The ribs were fall of the bone, chicken was moist/well seasoned, and the sides were tasty. The portion with the ribs was large enough for two people and try as best as I could I was unable to finish more than half of it. All in all great location in downtown (stairs may be a problem for some), good service, and great food. I would recommend and even though I prefer trying new places I would go back to try the chicken curry. read more

I've been to many Earls locations numerous times and this location is not worthy. The burger was cold and so salty it was inedible. The server was indifferent at best. The only reason for the second star is that the hostess was delightful. This was an extreme disappointment. read more

Great meals. Slightly overpriced but it is Banff.

A great place to go with friends or family. I went with both and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had the ribs for my main as a change from steak, which the server recommended. We all enjoyed ourselves. Give Earl's a try. read more

OUTSTANDING. Cajan food in Canada? Say what?? Oh ya. The Cajan Blackened Chicken SO DANK, GET IT!!
