This place gets busy ... they have great doughnuts. A lot of people go and hangout to play scratchers . I love that they have fresh fruit juices , like the ones they serve at robeks . My fave juice is beets and carrots and apples. So good they also have cute doughnuts for kids with Disney or flower decor . read more

Wow. I didn't have high hopes for this place given the density of donut shops in LA, but I can see why people come here specifically. The sweetness balance is nicely done, but the most characteristic quality of their donuts is how airy and almost light it is. Maybe it's because of how fresh it is? We went there at 3PM and they were saying that another batch would be available at 6PM - unfortunately, we couldn't get the ube cake donut. We got a chocolate twist, apple fritter, cresnut, maple crueller, and donut holes. Of them, the apple fritter was the standout for me - crunchy, with small bite-sized apple pieces. Even my mom who hates fruit in her pastries couldn't resist eating this. I really enjoyed the chocolate twist as well - basic, but just so nicely done. Donut holes were fine too. I would skip the cresnut and the maple crueller was extremely airy, but didn't have the deep-fried quality that I get cruellers for. read more

Although my all time favorite donuts are Krispy Kreme, Earl donuts are pretty good. No matter what time of the day I come, their donuts are always fresh. Their display cases are always full, and they have a good selection. If you buy a dozen donuts, you get two free. If you buy a half a dozen donuts, you get one free. Service here is always good read more

This is to amend my previous review of Earl's from 7 years ago. Since then the store has changed hands. The donuts are okay, but the service is poor. The donuts have also doubled in price. While the previous owners were not part of Earl's family, they were welcoming and kind. They also had a variety of donuts to choose from. Today one of the cases was completely empty and there were no cake or buttermilk donuts. Plus, check out the photo for how she packed them. We asked for a dozen and she did not tell us that 2 of our picks did not qualify for the dozen until after she rang us up. It was just disappointing. I can get fairly good donuts anywhere. When this shop goes up for sale again, which I can only imagine is sooner rather than later, I might have to pony up and give it a try myself. read more

I've visited Earls Donuts in Chatsworth multiple times, around 5 am every single morning around 1 year and sometimes in the afternoon. One of those visits, unfortunately, I've consistently encountered rude service from the afternoon staff, particularly the lady and Steven. On my most recent visit, they expressed an indifferent attitude, even suggesting that I shouldn't return if I wasn't satisfied with their service. This was the third time I've experienced such treatment, and it's incredibly disappointing. The lack of professionalism and customer care made for a truly unpleasant experience. One of the only places in the SFV that stays open late and ...and when you get there you see the shelves full of tasty donuts. Place looks clean no flying animals or sticky floors. Folks behind the counter are always awake and ready to start packing the kitchen in the box. Buttermilk glazed wow get it. The purple donut is great, don't know what it is but I feel like it's healthy which makes it easier for me to finish it and go for the next one. read more

Really straightforward; it's a simple donut shop with an array of milk teas, healthy juices, sandwiches (cold/hot & bagel/croissant), and donuts (simple & fancy). They have lottery machines and have a classic car club that meets every Thursday from 8am-10am. With ambience, it wasn't too crowded, but there were others milling in and out constantly during the breakfast hour. You can sit down to eat and anything you order usually comes out quickly. My son has the biggest sweet aside from my daughter Lol I just don't. From time to time I like taking him to get his hot cocoa and donut. The other afternoon I took him and his buddy to get donuts in the evening. The gentleman/ young man at the counter was not very happy or had any means of saying welcome thank you etc Just a plain blank stare and I don't need a queens greeting ( do I though lol) it would be nice to feel the appreciation of helping YOUR business. Thursday morning early is the best time to hit this local donut shop, it's when the gear heads come out with their completed cars or projects to talk shop. Every single employee that tried some came in to tell me today's selection was great. My favorite item from them is the ham and cheese croissants. Phenomenal donuts, delicious sandwiches, and refreshing drinks. My sweetheart was craving donuts so I put in an order-- grabbed the ube cake donut, chocolate, and a cinnamon. Got them an egg croissant sandwich as a surprise. Man, their delight! Got through that sandwich in seconds, and it wasn't a small one. Oh, and I got the green milk tea with whipped cream. It's lovely! The whole kitchen smells like donuts now. It's gorgeous. We'll be ordering again soon! read more

This was my first time here, as I was picking up a dozen donuts for work. I had a crumb cake donut and have to say it was a good donut. I won't say it was the best, nice and warm, super fresh, but it was a good tasting donut. The customer service was very nice, clean donut shop, and nicely priced. My co-workers apparently love getting donuts from this shop. In the area and have a donut craving, then this is a good place to stop in! My only recommendation for 3 stars, is the "Cash Only". In today's age, I think it is ridiculous to do "Cash Only". read more

This place has always been the most consistent and flavorful donut place in the valley. I grew up eating Earls donuts and they still deliver the same quality and taste. It is not a trendy and hipster donut place where they charge $35 for a dozen. This is what a donut should be and their dozen is only $16 and they give you two more on the house. I have always had a good experience, whether I go inside to order or use the app. The staff is always friendly as well. The only reason I took 1 star off is because today I was shopping at Amazon and saw they had the brown sugar toffee latte and decided to try it. The girl that helped me (has helped me before as well) has always had somewhat of an attitude. I don't even think she made my drink correctly as it was undrinkable. So the one star off is because of her - but other than her, everyone has been amazing. The space is clean as well. Parking: it is in a shopping center and parking is usually easy.

I come to Earl's to support my gambling habit of buying lottery tickets. The parking lot here is a mess and is always crowded with people coming to Baskin Robbins or Sharkey's. The store here isn't super clean. The floor is dirty and they don't seem to wipe down the tables after people have eaten donuts or spilled their coffee. That should be a priority at a donut shop. The donuts here are not really that good. I've eaten a couple in the past and they were just ok. Seemed like they were sitting in the case for a day because they were pretty dry. I no longer eat donuts here anymore for that reason and their health violations. I would think twice about eating donuts from Earl's. The health department closed this place down for vermin infestation the last three years. You would think they would get a handle on that and not let it happen after the first time. Earl's gets 2 stars since I've won money from here at different times. read more

I had a terrible experience here. The employee made me and another customer wait while she stood around discussing the schedule with a coworker, completely ignoring us. When she finally acknowledged me, she refused to let me buy six raspberry jelly donuts as part of my dozen, even though there were at least 20 sitting right there. Her reason? "I have to leave some for others." Really? She was dismissive, rude, and clearly not interested in providing good service. I left immediately and won't be back. Thankfully, I found "The Donut Shop" just a few blocks away. Not only were their donuts incredibly fresh and delicious, but the staff was friendly, professional, and actually cared about their customers. Go there instead. You'll be glad you did. read more

I used to go to Earl's years ago every time I was out in the Valley and it was the best little donut shop in LA! I hadn't been back to LA or the Valley in more than 10 years, so when I drove by and saw the familiar "Earl's" sign I had to stop in. The atmosphere is different and the donuts were... donuts. Nothing to rave about anymore. The sign might be the same, but Earls' just isn't "Earl's" anymore. Time to take down that sign and rebrand with "Donut Shop" or something more generic. You can't promise an "Earl's" donut and deliver just average donuts. The get two stars instead of one because... donuts! read more

Do NOT trust this store if you place an order there - not even if you prepay. They'll "forget" to hold your order THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS (after telling you that they will call you an hour before closing to remind you to pick it up). I arrived 1 1/2 hrs before closing and was first told they had no orders left for pick-up.
